Fresh and Bangin’ Eatery

Great civiche… great customer service… little smaller town but big big food haha :) Food is fresh. .fish and chips are yummy burger is good oh! Did I say how the civiche is delicious lol:)

The Bangin Burger was phenomenal. Possibly best burger I’ve ever had. Cheesecake was excellent. Cannolis were excellent. The restaurant is less than a year old, started by 2 cordon-​blue chefs who worked for Wolfgang Puck, but wanted small town life so left LA last year for a more pastoral lifestyle.
We loved it so much Friday night that we went back again Saturday.

I’ve eaten here twice but everyone at the table — both times — raved about the food (as well as friends I’ve sent for dinner). Great menu, great chefs and a wonderful pairing of beer with menu items (they also serve wine). Treasure Fries with drizzled olive oil and shaved truffles — out of this world delicious! And the service is excellent, too. All around a great place to eat! BTW the last time I had Crème Brulee (chocolate) and it was the best I’ve ever had! Try a dessert!

With reservations for 8 on a Friday you would expect the table to be ready and they would not out of ½ their entrees. Last time I was there it was five stars, this time the waiter seemed aggravated, the food came out over a period of 8 minutes from the first entrée dropped to the last. The fish and chips were over cooked and small portioned. I rather pay $ 15 and get real Cod not Pollack. Mashed potatoes were cold. Being closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday, it seems their spending more time on the catering biz and letting the restaurant go a little bit. I only hope it was just a bad night cause the food has been really good.

Go to the menu very diverse we ordered four different entrees smoked salmon excellent salad the mountain up a burger is excellent the panini excellent deep fried portabella mushrooms excellent. A little gem in the middle of Lucerne Clear Lake. Finish off with the chocolate crème brûlée. Highly recommend. Does she have experience in catering and of work for famous Wolfgang Puck. Very reasonably priced

A diamond in the rough, a Picasso found at a yard sale, this place is incredible! A delectable delight, a circus in your mouth, a treasure trove of flavors to satisfy any palate!
Don’t let the small size of the restaurant fool you, the flavors, fresh ingredients, personal touch and that home cooked meal flavor will warm your belly.
Don’t pass this Big Bang for your buck restaurant, the food could easily command higher prices. John & Scott you’re amazing — «What the Heck Man, Let’s Eat!»

Wow! This eatery was excellent! We are a family of six and just happened to pass through and eat here. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The kids inhaled their meals… Pork sandwiches and cheeseburgers. I savored every bite of my Chile Relleno. It had this black bean purée and yummy goat cheese that burst with flavor! So so good! The side salads popped with color… so fresh! This was such a healthy, delicious surprise on our trip. We’ve hit many local diners as we’ve traveled from Alaska to California, and this was such a cut above any other place! Yum!!! A must stop and taste! The owners were super cool and so nice! They gave my kiddos stickers and chatted with us. Thanks guys. Great place!

My only disappointment in writing this review is that I couldn’t give this restaurant SIX or TEN stars.
Fresh & Bangin’ is a petit eatery along Highway 20 in Lucerne operated by two gents who love food and love beer. As such, they have great choices for both of those items!
Last night I took my wifey there and enjoyed empanadas and the Cuban sandwich along with a Saison (slightly sour style of beer that goes great with the Cuban sandwich) and a bourbon barrel porter, a rich and full-​bodied beer that goes great with the empanadas.
When I lived in a L.A., which is where the restaurant’s owners come from also, there was a go-​to place for empanadas, which are sort of like South American Hot Pockets but they’re actually good. These empanadas were better than those with a very light crust that didn’t obscure the terrific flavor of the chorizo and potato filling.
The Cuban sandwich had great bread and a just the right fillings to be really authentic tasting, which means lively flavors typical of what you’d expect from Cuban food.
There were so many little touches that just demonstrated that the owners cared about the food such as sunflower seeds on the salad, which was sourced from a local farm.
Despite the fact that we had already eaten too much we had been drawn-​in by a posting of the desserts on tap for the day, which they make there also. There was a persimmon and apple strudel as well as home-​made New York cheesecake. Though we didn’t have room for the desserts there, we took them home and enjoyed them the next day. Again, on point in both cases.
This little eatery is about 20 minutes from my house and I have to pass a lot of places that are pretty decent to get here. But you can absolutely bet that this is going to be one of my most regular places to go to, especially with 80 beers available. Honestly this may be the best food I’ve eaten in Lake County and on par with some of the better places I’ve eaten in LA. This is a must-​go-​to place with fair prices, fresh ingredients including some sourced from local farms and a very inviting and immaculate atmosphere. And did I mention over 80 beers plus great local wines?

Food is GREAT and very friendly and accommodating staff! Try their Empanadas and their Apricot glazed apple Strudel!

This place is awesome. The bangin” burger was excellent and the fish and chips where perfectly cooked with a light batter. I’m very glad to hear they finally got their liquor license.
The owner and staff are kind and have came out to chat on each one of our visits to chat.
I hope everyone visits and keeps visiting! We need a good place to eat like this at the lake

Best place in the county. 9 out of 10 visits have been excellent. There’s no Lactose in mayo you daffy cow.

I heard many nice things about this place from the locals and being pretty new to the area, I thought I’ll check it out. Located across from the beautifully redeveloped Lucerne harbor area, there are plenty of off street parking and nice lake view from the restaurant. Looks like they just started serving wine and beer. Food and home made strawberry lemonade were delicious and prices are reasonable. Next time I have to try their ceviche!

40 minutes to get our food. Order wasn’t correct and they were quite insulted when all we could say about the food was that it was, «fine.» Blaming us for the communication issues which lead to mayo on a burger for my lactose intolerant friend and spicy crap on my burger (yuck!) was just plain rude. Meanwhile we paid $ 35 for our half eaten, semi-​decent meal of 2 burgers, fries and lemonade at lunchtime.
Only open for three months… doubt they’ll last much longer. In the future… own your mistakes! Don’t blame your customers for incorrect orders or poor hearing… and take the hit of at least 15% off because you BOTH knew we deserved it.
By the way… lucky for you, my friend was paying and extremely nice! She actually tipped you $ 7! $ 6.99 more than you deserve for how I feel about that experience.

Food was great! Everything taste really fresh and it a nice twist on some classic restaurant food. John the owner is awesome and came out to check on us and introduce himself.

Outstanding service. Great little culinary find testing the twists on traditional American food. Had the ranch house fries, excellent. Went for a few bites of my kids grilled cheese too with the perfect grill. I wish them loads of success.
