History

Established in 1972.

Developed and built by Alma and Norm Des Lauriers

Second owner: Jerry Amondson

Third owner: Purchased in 1986 by Dolores and Wallace Heitsmith who completed new owner’s apartment on the second floor and converted original owner’s digs into new rental unit.

Fourth owner: Purchased in 1994 by Donna and Glenn Heitsmith who built a colonial home on the property and converted former owner’s apartment and office into two additional rental units.

Love this place as a stop on our annual Bike trip! The rooms are nice, and the Inn is right across the street from a great Steakhouse!

My wife, dog, and I had the pleasure of spending the entire summer here in the attached apartment. The view of the mountain from the front is worth it alone. Family run and extremely pet friendly. The house keeping staff were great and even worked around my wife’s schedule as she works from home which was very helpful. Glenn, the owner, is constantly on the move, but always available to help you out with a restaurant recommendation or a place to hike. While we weren’t here for skiing season, something tells me he knows a thing or two about that as well. If we’re ever in the area again, this would be the first place we would come.

I went with a bunch of friends to Timber Inn Motel for a ski getaway weekend and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect as it was right near Okemo and had a shuttle pick us up to get to the mountain. Skiing and snowmobiling are close to the motel along with a great sledding recommendation from the staff.
Additionally, the staff was great whenever we needed anything and truly felt like we were in a cozy, friendly motel.
Both myself and all of my friends who came definitely want to come back, even in the summer when we were told there are a bunch of other outdoor activities right nearby like hiking.
If you’re looking for a nice, cozy place with great staff for a fun weekend, this is the place to be.

Love this place. It is well kept, the owners are awesome people, and there are so many things to do right nearby. The rooms are clean and many are newly renovated. Great place to spend a few days either in the warm months or during ski season.

Stayed at the Timber Inn Motel w/​a friend of mine while we were skiing the last 2 days of the season at Okemo.
The rooms use wood timbers heavily, even with the beds. Everything was really clean and quite happy with the double twin beds.
The real awesomeness this inn/​motel sports is the hot tub and sauna. Really great for relaxing the muscles after skiing hard on top of the mountain.
Other items to note is that there is ample parking outside.

Not gonna lie I like this place. Rooms upstairs def. have character, downstairs all the rooms are re-​done and look pretty nice. Sam’s restaurant across the street is pretty good too. The thing I really like about this place is the hot tub, it’s a must after a long day of killing it on the mountain. True story.
