Bill’s Gun Trader

This business probably once reflected the unique charms that can be found only within a sole proprietorship offering sporting arms in a small community. Unfortunately, that has long since decomposed into grime and stale tobacco smoke. This should be saddening to a person who appreciates these sorts of establishments. However, it matters less now, as the business has lost its license to sell firearms.
The only redeeming quality retained by this business is a substantial inventory of new and used holsters of various types.

Bill’s staff pretty well reflects what approaches them from the other side of the sales counter. If one want’s a ‘big box’ atmosphere, then one will be much more happy by visiting one of the big ‘boxes’ that SELL firearms. You know, the kind that staff their counters with folk that think their proximity to all those firearms makes ‘em some kind of Gun-​Guru.
Like most non-​chain stores, Bill’s guys will toss back whatever they’re hit with, sometimes in a not-​so-​laid back manner. They were there before you walked in, and they’ll be there well after you leave.
Good place to sit a spell, and watch the parade enter and leave. I visited the Saturday after Christmas, and the place was full of singles and couples on both sides of the counter, everyone having a good time. Good place to be.

Do you like your firearms?
Do you like a shop that wants to see its customers come back?
Stay away from here then.
I brought in a revolver that needed a little work.
After fiddling with it and breaking a spring, the guy finally asked what kind of gun it was.
When I mentioned how I was concerned about the fact that he broke a spring and was unsure if he would be able to replace the part, he just told me that was part of it.
No, Bill, part of gunsmithing is finding out what the gun is first so you don’t have to make even more repairs later.
He eventually threw my gun down in front of me, found the part I needed, threw that in front of me too, and told me to fix it myself.
Well, I did, and I will also make sure I never set foot in that place again.

I can’t say I’m sorry to hear about that.
