Mike and Sandy Smith started Mike Smith Discount Wheel & Tire in 2004 after retiring from the U.S. Army with 25 years of service. Mike started as a pilot with Southeast Texas Air Rescue and quickly realized there was an opportunity to provide the Lumberton community and local area with a business that provided wheels, tires, and automotive repairs. In 2010 it was determined the business needed to expand its warranty service and reach. This was accomplished by joining the Tire Pros franchise, at approximately 500 stores and growing Tire Pros provides locations nationwide and a true nationwide warranty service. Tire Pros is your local professional that provides outstanding local service and national support when you travel. At Tire Pros we, «Install Peace of Mind».

Business Owner
Mike Smith joined the Army at 18 and attended flight school graduating 2nd in his class as an AeroScout Pilot. After graduating he married his high school sweetheart Sandy Keeling. They have two children and several pets. Mike is a veteran of Iraq and is currently a member of the VFW and Commander of the local American Legion. He was awarded several medal for his military service including the Legion of Merit, Air Medal with V device, and the Order of St. Michael for significant contributions to Army Aviation. They like to travel, fish, hunt, and try new restaurants. They opened Mike Smith Tire Pros in 2004 after seeing the need for a local full service tire store. Currently they have 2 locations; Mike Smith Tire Pros in Lumberton, TX, and Woods Tire and Auto in Sherman, TX.
