Not a great place people are rude and the food is so low class and not the best. The food is cheap so how good of the quality can it be.(be realistic here if they charge like $ 8 for a chicken cullet with speggetti and a drink how good can it be.) i ordered it and the chicken was tough and disgusting. Throwback Review Reason For The Two Stars: 1. Food I was not keen on giving Valcenia a review because the other Unilocalers basically said what I experienced. The food was okay. Okay, like I’m eating it because I’m paying for it okay. The quality of the food I tasted made me think that they probably have the sauce, and pasta in one freezer and mix together when a customer orders. 2. Service Honestly, my step-father and I didn’t feel«welcomed» there. Empty restaurant and the waitress decides the best seat to give to us was near the kitchen, all the way in the back. I guess it was convenient for her, but it was an uncomfortable experience for me. 3. Quality Price $ 20.00-$ 30.00 for food that seemed as if someone just poured sauce and added meat on top, I could have just went to Keyfood and made my own. Would I Come Again?: No. To spend almost $ 70 for food and regretting it is something that scars my food digger mind. It’s my opinion and always take into consideration it could of been a bad day to come in.

With a glut of pizza/Italian place in the area I would say Angelina’s comes in a decent. Nothing about the pie stands out, but the restaurant space itself is very nice.

such below average Italian food. NYers demand so much from most establishments but not enough from Italian restaurants which is ironic cause so many of us are italian. The meatballs were cooked to the consistency of clay. they tasted of meat but that’s about it. The sauce was just like watered down tomato paste. couldn’t taste garlic or onion or cheese. Even parsley or basil might have helped. The lasagna was a sloppy mess that tasted the same as everything else. Someone had the Penne vodka which they said tasted good but was watery. The kids liked the pizza but it’s pizza and they’re not paying attention. They want cheese on bread with red stuff. It’s sad to say but there are very few places anymore to find quality Italian food that hasn’t had every corner cutting practice destroy it. If the owners of these types of places are in fact Italian their ancestors really couldn’t cook OR they would never serve this food at home which makes the condescension and greed all the more real.

Always satisfied after eating here. The heroes are good, chicken/eggplant parm is good, penne ala vodka is good, salad slice is good but they don’t always have it. The restaurant isn’t anything fancy, it’s pretty casual but the food is good.

The food was good. The owner with the gray hair and glasses was not very nice. He is loud and obnoxious. Straight out of a Arthur Miller play. Didn’t think this type really existed. Would not expose my family to that type of behavior. won’t be going back.

My first time here was for pizza, it was ok. This time it was for a sit down. What a disappointment! The food was horrible, everything was cold and tasteless. Someone should tell the kitchen to stick to pizza and to maybe try adding some ingredients to their canned processed sauces. Don’t waste your time or money. The only reason this fake Italian place is getting two stars is because at least the staff was nice.

Went here today based on Unilocal reviews. As usual, you guys were spot on. First, I walk in and see this big ass pot of gravy being made. It smelled delish. I ordered penne ala vodka with mozzarella and a side of meatballs. Penne vodka was really good complimented with the side of meatballs which was really good as well. Friendly and clean. Can’t wait to try some other dishes soon! Go Yanks

For some reason I order a pie and it was horrible. So I called them up and about 4 people got on the phone. But I heard them laughing in the back ground, poor way to treat your best customer. Still haven’t settled it

Had a party of 15 there for lunch. I ordered the appetizers the day before so we wouldn’t have to wait. That didn’t work, we waited. The mozzarella sticks and pizza was good but the wings were to spicy and I asked for mild. Everyone enjoyed their pasta dishes which are half price during lunch hours. The service was fine but check your bill before you leave! I had an extra $ 21.00 plate added that nobody had and a few extra drinks were thrown on their too. They don’t have to do that, I always leave a 20% tip.

Absolutely love this place! Second time I been there since my sister moved to the island and the food is amazing! So affordable and kid friendly. Took my husband for the first time this past weekend and he loved it too! Can’t wait to go back!

As good as ever! Boy, I miss our weekly visits to Angelina, so when we were in the area, kids begged to have a slice and it was excellent, the sauce is fantastic, the crust is perfectly crusty and chewy inside, it’s so flavorful!

I like the quality of food here. This was the first place I ate when I first started working in the area and I had a spinach calzone. It was quite tasty from what I remembered. I have just recently come back and tried their penn ale vodka and it was delicious. I also ordered a side of garlic knots a they was nice and flavorful. Some places make the garlic knots very bland so I am glad they made really good quality ones. The staff seems pretty friendly and efficient. Food was ready to go in the estimated time they told me. I hope to try more things on the menu. My coworker recommends the seafood linguine.

Came here on a Saturday night with a few friends, wait wasn’t too bad about 15 minutes. Friendly staff, decent bread basket, family oriented atmosphere. Ordered the penne pollo Alla vodka, tasted pretty good, portions were generous, I’ll have leftovers for 2 lunches!

If you work around this neighborhood, you know how hard it is to pick between this restaurant and Vincent’s pizzeria from across the street. They both serve good pizzas and have a great selection of Italian classics. Décor seems to be designed to give a more family oriented feel– red and white checkered table cloths, booths, casual music. I ordered one of the cheapest item on the menu — vegetable grilled panini. Greasy but good. It doesn’t come with any sides but the two halves sandwich hits the spot for only a lunch that was $ 6 without tax.

Long Island has its fair share of Italian restaurants. Angelina’s is one of my go-to ones in the area. Standard bread basket. Love the garlicky flatbread. My favorite dish is the Rigatoni Fiorentina-rigatoni mixed with a sauce similar to vodka sauce, creamy spinach, and chicken chunks.

Hmmm… I’m on the fence with this place. I often come here with my boyfriend and his family. They’ve been coming here for a good 15+ years and they love it. I personally think it’s just OK. With these family owned Italian restaurants, I feel like any non-Italian that comes here gets major side eye… until of course, you show them you’re a decent human being, then they soften up. The overall vibe of the place is nice. Family oriented restaurant, with a bar up front and tables & booths towards the back. Gingham patterned cloths on the tables, so don’t expect upscale Italian décor. However, the food is up to par. The portions are generous and the bread is really good. I didn’t like their shrimp fra diablo too much, it lacked flavor. The shrimp with penne and pesto sauce was good though. The Shrimp Angelina was good and light, nicely flavored. I’ve also tried their Angelina salad(greens, walnuts, cheese) which I loved. Their house salads are OK, nothing to write home about. Their balsamic dressing is VERY good. I think they put crack in it. I’ll be back of course, maybe this place will grow on me.

I was here for my sister’s birthday yesterday and I was actually expecting it to be bad. I was happily disappointed in my expectations this turned out to be a pretty good place. I was actually here for two previous occasions but I didn’t want to judge from those prior experiences since I wasn’t reviewing back then. My family is huge so we ended up taking up a few tables and some space in here, our waitress was pretty accommodating to all of our needs. I indulged in the garlic bread from the bread basket and it was well worth it. I ordered an appetizer of tomato, mozzarella cheese and roasted red pepper(at this time I can’t recall the correct name for it). I split it with my brother and his friend who was with us for the afternoon birthday party. For a meal I got a salad with mesculins, goat cheese, dried cranberries and walnuts. The salad was also very good all the veggies served to us in our salads(my main meal and my family’s pre-meal included salads) were very fresh. My family also seemed to enjoy their meals too. As far as I know no one had anything bad to say after we left here. Another great Italian spot in Lynbrook(this town seems to know how to do Italian well) I’d come back again!
