Friedman David DDS

I have an extreme dental phobia. I had one bad experience with a dentist and that spoiled the entire dental pot. Even with my six month check ups, I need a Xanex.
At the age of 28, I started feeling the pangs of my wisdom teeth working their way to the surface, and I pretty much forced myself to ignore it. I mentioned it to my dentist early on, and he gave me the business card of Dr. Friedman. That card sat in my car and yellowed, for a year and a half. I could no longer take the pain anymore. I knew it was time.
I made the appointment apprehensively. I trusted my dentists’ recommendation of Dr. Friedman, but was still super scared. Dr. Friedman’s office is located inside his home. It was super inviting and I instantly was put at ease. The receptionist was amazingly helpful, as well as the dental hygienist. ALL my questions were answered especially as I stressed my fears of the wisdom teeth removal. I was told I could be awake or go under anesthesia. I knew from the get-​go, I was leaning towards being knocked out.
I was seen by Dr. Friedman, and he reviewed my x-​rays, and options. He was making dumb jokes that really helped ease my fears and told me it really wouldn’t be as bad as I thought. I knew I was in great hands.
The entire staff made sure had scheduled someone to pick me up and help me after the anesthesia.
The day of the appointment came, and I was sweating bullets. From the second I entered the door, and was led to the dentists’ chair, I was relaxed by the calm nurse. Even still, I began my nervous water works. The nurse stroked my hand as the dentist came in and before I knew it, it was over. I felt no pain at all. My Dad was there to take me home and stay with me for the remainder of the day.
I was not in a ton of pain after the extraction, but was given a painkiller just in case. I followed the instructions I was given and knew I would no longer have to deal with those teeth!
When I went back to get the stitches removed, I had no pain. Most of the stitches had dissolved, which I was very happy about.
I never in a billion years ever thought I’d rave about a dentist, but Dr. Friedman deserves some raving.
