Excellent NY pizza! I am a native from Brooklyn but now live out of state and this was the NY pizza fix I needed. I think the owners heard me and my sister-in-law making satisfied sounds with each bite and gave us free garlic rolls.

I moved in to the neighborhood about a year ago and was in search of a pizza shop, so after driving past here several times decided to walk in. The pizza is good, the guys behind the counter are friendly. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because they only accept cash which sucks being that I rarely carry cash. Other than that I do recommend this place.

These guys have been here forever and still do it right. I judge pizzerias on how well they make a regular slice. Nothing better than a regular pie from Gino’s anywhere in a 10 mile radius. Big plus: They’re open late on Fridays and Saturdays. Definitely beats fast food joints if you’re looking for a late night bite. Even better when you get a fresh pie to stay with a few friends.

Prices are good, décor is faded and old. The guys are behind the counter are friendly and generous. I just can’t eat the pizza. At some point the cheese got really greasy and that makes the rest of the pizza really rubbery at times. Great for a reheat or for an individual slice.

My good friend who is from Oceanside but now lives in Lynbrook recommended that we go to Gino’s and order a plain pie to stay. He was unable to join us but his wife, my wife and myself went to Gino’s around 845pm on a Friday to order what he recommended. We were given 6 complimentary knots which are basically garlic bread lumps of pizza dough. About 10 minutes later out comes a huge pizza. This pizza is old school style NY pizza, plain(just cheese), thin crust. We had the pepper flakes, oregano and garlic powder sprinklers for our slices which we folded and devoured in about 15 minutes. Both my friend and my wife had 2 slices each and I ended up eating 4. It was just great, what a treat to have a real pie as my first meal on Long Island during this trip. At the end of it all I went to pay and it was only 13 bucks. That’s just crazy… We ordered a full pie so it was made fresh for us and while it sat on the table I stared at it and was sort of in wonder as the diameter of the pizza was almost the entire width of the booth table. This pie was wide and wide pies make for large slices. The food was great and I think we’ve created a new tradition of having to go to Gino’s each visit to Lynbrook.

The only pizzeria we go to. The guys who work there are charismatic and the food is amazing. Prices are just right. They greet all the locals by name. They have loyal customers because they are just that great.

Not sure how anyone can rate this place less than 5 stars. Owners mario and luigi-thats right-mario and luigi have one of the last remaining old school pizzarias that have not been renovated. Brings me back to my youth every time i walk in. Growing up in bklyn and living in li for 6 urs i can say without reservation that ginos has the best slices around period.

I’d like to start off by saying I love their pizza. I haven’t had a better slice around here. Everywhere else seems to burn their pizza so bad I might as well be eating burnt wood. I’ve also had eggplant parmigiana heroes and garlic knots from here and they are delicious!

Take out date: December 13, 2014 My sister had a holiday party and we got some pies from Gino’s. My family are a bunch of eaters(including myself) and I’m very polite so I managed to snag one cheese slice and one garlic knot as everyone flocked to get some pizza when it arrived. The pizza was very tasty, the crust wasn’t the greatest crust I ever had but it wasn’t the worst either. The sauce & cheese were just fine! The garlic knot was alright it wasn’t oily enough for my taste. Overall I don’t have any real complaints about their pizza and would eat it again for sure!

Their pizza is really good. The plain slice has got to be one of the best I’ve had. And the service is good too, everyones pretty laid back.

Gino’s Lynbrook remains one of the best slices on Long Island. There’s nothing more to say. Yep, they’re open late and that is great, their other Italian food is awesome and the Italian Ices are good too but their basic, straight up slice rules. That’s the deal

This review needs to take a number of things into account. 1. The time of day(or night) you’re looking to eat your pizza. 2. If it is late in the evening(or early in the morning, depending on how you look at it), you must ask yourself… am I willing to drive a few towns over to eat something other than fast food or go to a diner? If you’re like me and you dont feel like driving to Oceanside or Franklin Square for bagels while in the mood for pizza, then this place rates a good 4 stars. The pizza isn’t the best around, but after all the other pizza spots you may have preferred in the area are closed, Ginos is still lit up with the doors open ready to take on the crowds. If you have options(example: during daylight hours), I’d give Ginos a 2 star rating mainly because theres plenty of competion within walking distance where you’ll find a superior slice. I will say though, that the counter help is always friendy and they can engage you in normal conversation(as opposed to a White Castle counter person). The place is in serious need of a remodeling, and I remember coming here many moons ago when I was in high school and thought that it needed some sprucing up then. It’s by no means filthy, but neither was my grandmothers living room… which is to say a change in flooring and a coat of paint could take you a long way. On to the quality of the pizza… if it’s 1pm on Wednesday the slice rates a 3 at best. If it’s 1am on Wednesday… it magically transforms into a 4 ½ star slice. And it is conveniently located on the south side of Sunrise Highway facing the eastbound direction.

Gino’s has the best Sicilian slice I’ve had outside of Brooklyn. Not the prettiest atmosphere(not that it matters for a mainly carry-out joint), but the staff is always friendly, and service is quick. Definitely worth the visit for a delicious late night slice.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had. Didn’t even finish it. Looked like day old pizza left out overnight. And I went there at 12 afternoon

I’ve only had their Two Slice + Soda for $ 5 special, but it is absolutely worth it. The people working the counter are always friendly and you can’t beat the price. The slices are large and have an exceptional crust that is thin, chewy and crisp on the bottom. They also have a nice demarcation line of sauce between the edge and the bed of cheese(my favorite part of the slice!) The cheese always has the perfect contrast between gooey and congealed — it’s not falling off the pizza like some molten plastic — and the sauce has a nice kick. For a quick lunch on the go, stop at Gino’s. Parking is tough on Sunrise Highway, especially since most Long Islanders can’t parallel park to save their lives!

My favorite regular slice in Long Island. I’ve known Phil the pizza man since I was 13 years old, and he has mastered the art of making Pizza. So happy the guys at Gino’s acquired his services. Stuffed baked ziti slice is cravable. Love their little rolls(chicken, sausage & peppers, meatball, etc.) Unlike most pizza places that make a huge doughy roll, Gino’s makes these little ones so that you can have a variety in one sitting or along with your pizza. Open late. Not much going on décor wise, no TVs, no beer/wine…but whatever, the pizza is awesome.

Been eating at this Gino’s in Lynbrook since I started on solid foods. In fact, I base all my pizza reviews on this one. Great pizza, great food in general. They use a raw sauce, thin crust, which I love; don’t like a spiced up cooked sauce on my pizza. When I was a kid, I remember rolling up my crusts in a napkin and saving them in my pocket for breakfast on the way to school, and it was still good. Being Italian, if it got a little stale, I’d just dip it in my coffee. The décor could really use an updating, that is the only reason I dropped a star; and the guys working there aren’t as cute as they used to be. It used to be a hot draw for the ladies, which also added to that 5th star; but overall, as far as pizza goes, when good pizza is what Italians can’t do without, this place feels like home. You can’t go wrong when your belly is aching for pizza to head for a Gino’s sign. I’ve sampled every Gino’s I’ve ever found, from Long Beach to Islip and points in between and I’ve never been disappointed. Most don’t deliver, or offer pizza specials, so you know your patrons are die hards! So if you haven’t tried them already, take my advice. They’re definitely a thumbs up! I used to keep a box top in my car that listed all their locations so I would never be too far if I was craving a slice! Soooo, just sayin’ give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Yeah, I don’t like it. Hardly any sauce on the pie and the garlic knots were like hockey pucks. Inconvenient to get to and it’s scary walking through the back. I really wanted to fall in love with this pizza. I was hoping for it to be «the one», but there was just no connection between us :*(
