I just had the best burger of my life at the acorn hill bistro. The chicken Ceasar salad wrap was flavorful with a twist and the wrap was grilled! The fresh fruit salad was actually fresh! I wish we lived in the area and not just visiting as this place would be a go to for sure!

I would say the best Breakfast in the Lynchburg area regardless of price and the prices here are very reasonable. (we have paid more for less) The Food is Delicious the staff if very kind and friendly.
The food is made fresh to order every time !
A great find — (For Sunday I may suggest that you watch your time to get the best service. I would suggest that 9 – 12 am little or no waiting time and the service is top grade. From 12 – 1:30 it may be more crowed. After 1:30 it goes back normal.
Please enjoy this for the best breakfast in town!

Excellent food. Great service. The menu isn’t all too diverse, but eveything is great. The bed and breakfast is awesome too.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Great place for Sunday brunch or a weekday lunch. Brunch is affordable and located near the spa so this would be a fun place for brunch, mimosas and spa time.

Stopped by for brunch after visiting Poplar Forest. The Bistro is located inside the Acorn Lodge. Service was excellent: friendly, prompt, and nonintrusive. Setting was pleasant and comfortable: white linen on the tables– need to lose the silk flowers. Even a single bloom in a bud vase would be an improvement.
Now, the food. Warning: I’m particular. Quiche was ok– crust a premade frozen supermarket variety. Sausage quesadilla dripped grease while eating. Side salad greens were limp and dressing lacked flavor. However, roasted potatoes were crisp with soft centers and deliciously hot. Ice tea glasses were frequently filled-​thanks.
Overall, a mixed bag. We won’t be back,

Everything is COMPLETELY homemade. It was super delicious. All three of us loved it. The house specialty chicken was superb. Would give more stars if there were more stars! Small town ambiance, world-​class chef apparently! Oh, and friendly staff.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Lynchburg on our way to Austin. We had breakfast at this bistro, and we ordered a blueberry pancake and an omelette with cheddar, sausage and onion. The omelette is one of the best that I have ever had.

I came in needing to grab some food in a hurry, the staff was very welcoming and quick! The soup I had was some kind of cilantro chicken spicy amazingness that I didn’t know I needed! Really enjoyed my visit!

I just wanted to give a four because everyone was so nice and pleasant. It just seemed like everyone was off there game. The fruit and pasties came after the meal! The waitress spilled half of the coffee before it got there. We order the ham special for Easter. The menu looked great and everything was under $ 15. The meal look great but the ham and asparagus was cold ! The sweet potatoes was excellent ! They also forgot the greens and the carrot cup cake ! All and all, I just think this is a good place! The people are super nice but still finding there way! i recommend you come here with an adventurous heart and enjoy the atmosphere ! I do have to remind myself this is a B & B !

We stopped in for dinner for the first time this week. It was beyond our expectations. My son in law had one of their Peruvian dishes made with steak and vegetables. He cleaned his plate. My daughter had ¼ chicken with black beans and rice. My SIL helped her finish it and could not stop complimenting the chicken. I had the Monte Cristo and the bread was so so good! Our service was fantastic and the atmosphere was super quaint. We could not resist dessert so we went after the flan and the Peruvian version of rice pudding. Excellent and more excellent! We will make it a regular place we go to. Mmm mmmmmm

Truly the best brunch in Lynchburg — I have always had really great food and the service and atmosphere continues to get better and better. It’s refreshing to have a restaurant really want to succeed in our town and actually have the amazing food to make that happen!

Delicious food. Absolutely my favorite brunch spot in Lynchburg. They regularly have chef’s specials to complement their standard menu. It’s a must-​try.

Loved coming here while visiting Lynchburg. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home! Everything was tastefully decorated and very clean. Plus, the food was delicious. We couldn’t get a room because they were all booked, but we still decided to eat breakfast here everyday while in town. My favorite part was their home made cinnamon swirl bread!

Rotisserie chicken was moist and smoked in-​house, hand cut fries were crispy and hot, and plantains were both salty and sweet like they should be. My fiancée had the spinach florentine over poached eggs and sweet potato and squash hash special which she loved. Eggs were perfectly poached and paired well with the florentine and hash. They also gave us a complimentary yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and granola and some fresh mini pumpkin spiced muffins. All their baked goods and sauces are made from scratch. Service was great and informative. Bistro is in a weird location in Lynchburg, but it’s still close to 460 and Liberty so make sure to stop by — we’ll definitely be back!

After my first review the owner of the restaurant contacted me to apologize for the lack of service I received during my first visit. This encouraged me to come back and try again. I was hesitant when I came in because I had the same waitress from my prior visit, but she was much less stressed this time around. Therefore I enjoyed my second visit… even though I did have some spoiled fruit on my plate for brunch. However, when I pointed it out to the waitress she profusely apologized and removed the plate. The owner of the restaurant even offered to refund my meal from my first visit and comp the second one. I thought this was so generous that I didn’t even take him up on the offer and was happy to pay if it wasn’t for the moldy fruit I would have given this place four stars. The service for brunch has greatly improved. They actually got a hostess which definitely helps with the increased traffic that they have been receiving. Overall, I had a nice experience. I hear that dinner is always wonderful so I will definitely try that at a later time.

Highly recommend the breakfast quesadilla and the Eggs Blackwell. Beautifully served dish with exquisite flavor. Complimentary coffee and fruit along with the terrific customer service was icing on the cake. Will be back.

So delicious! We went for breakfast and loved it. We had the French toast, breakfast quesadilla, and the lemon meringue pancakes that were on special. Everything was excellent. Great coffee, fresh bread and ingredients, fresh fruit, salsa was amazing. The service was fantastic. We sat outside and really enjoyed our morning. We can’t wait to go back for dinner. We will definitely be back often. Highly recommend. Go check it out!

Stopped here for lunch and it is fantastic! Best Peruvian food that I’ve had since being in Lima. Indoor and outdoor seating. It’s brand new, just opened a few weeks ago. Highly recommend!
