The stylists are friendly and very good. Reasonably priced. On one occasion, they were running late, and I was offered a discount. There’s no tipping, either. Make your appointment early, as they tend to get booked up well in advance.

AMAZING SERVICE AND AMAZING EYEBROWS. I just got my eyebrows waxed by Kyle at the Legacy location. He was amazing. He spent so long working on them to make sure that they were absolutely perfect, he even recommended some awesome skin care products. I know what you’re thinking… He was just trying to make more for the salon by selling me things. Nope! He recommended products that I can buy at the drug store. Everyone here is super nice too!
Plus two huge bonuses is that this was the cheapest waxing I’ve ever had (only $ 20 and you aren’t allowed to tip). Second is that they use a wax that is meant for sensitive areas (normal bikini) so it didn’t hurt AT ALL.

I’ve never EVER been disappointed after leaving this place. The staff is always so warm and welcoming, they sell Aveda, they are a no gratuity salon & spa (although I really wish they were because the girls do so well every time) and when you get a style in the salon, you get a free facial and hand massage PLUS a makeover at the end! I walk out of this place feeling like a BOSS!

Stumbled upon this place due to the rave reviews on Unilocal and I 100% agree! The place is updated and spacious inside and my stylist Leah was amazing and attentive! She was meticulous and checked in with me for every move. Mini facial and arm massage hits the spot! Definitely coming back!

My unruly hair hadn’t seen the inside of a salon for 6 months to a year… Yes being broke can do scary things to a girl’s mane… I had also moved home from school in the past year so I hadn’t found my new go-​to salon and was extremely nervous to take the plunge and try somewhere. Jason was a complete gem. He was really easy to talk to, and genuinely funny. He was knowledgeable when discussing what cut I wanted, and about the Aveda products. He didn’t try to overly ‘sell me’ on any of them and didn’t overuse products in my hair, which was much appreciated. I felt like a new woman when I left. He was fantastic and I think I’ve found my new salon! I will absolutely be going back!

One of the worst Mani/​pedis I’ve ever had.
I got the shellac gel which was def the worst I’ve ever had. The salonist was very nice and fixed what I asked her to fix –but despite that the end product was still sub par.
For the pedicure… Nails themselves looked nice, but the massage associated it was quite sad and not the pampering I look forward to when getting a pedi!
Soooooo not worth the ridiculous cost —$ 118!!! That’s twice what I’d pay elsewhere and it was half as good.
Gets the extra star bc of customer service (she really did try!)

I had an appointment with Patrick and arrived ten minutes late. He refused to see me because he said he wouldn’t be able to fit in his next appointment, but after asking some questions I found out he was leaving work early for personal reasons. Nobody else could see me and everyone was very unapologetic.
Honestly, it seemed like he was just using ten minutes of lateness as a convenient excuse to attend to his personal business. Maybe he had a personal emergency but as a paying customer who had an appointment and drove 40 minutes in traffic to see him, I shouldn’t be penalized for that. Horrible customer service. Will never come here again!!!

I got the exact haircut that I asked her not to give me! I asked for my layers to be super long and barely visible and I look Jennifer Aniston circa 1995 in the front and the back is even worse. I ended up with a senior stylist because the person I scheduled with was sick. I don’t remember the last time I hated my hair. This will take months to grow out.

I’ve been coming here for about 5 years now and I LOVE it. Oh 5 years? You must like it bc of the same stylist you see every time, right? NOPE! The funny thing about this place is that I go to a different stylist every single time I come. Could be due to the fact that I get my haircut like once a year (don’t judge me lol).
I went this past weekend and it was the perfect ‘pampering’ experience I could have asked for. For every cut/​color or hair style you get you’re offered a complimentary hand/​arm massage and facial. It is so relaxing and warm — seriously my fav part. The stylists are always friendly, down-​to-​earth and fun! Complimentary coffee, water or tea and depending on what type of cut you get, you can have a touch-​up of make up done at the end.
No tipping! It’s a HUGE perk for me.

This great Aveda salon located in Legacy Village. They had coffee and tea as well as chocolates in the lobby! The stylist was skilled and kind. I enjoyed the scalp and arm massage and the mini facial. Aveda products are always top notch and I was relaxed and happy after my haircut. The salon is tip free, so for a junior level stylist, I paid a total of 40 $ which I think is a steal for the level service here. Basic Straightening or curling is included.

I have never written a review on Unilocal before but my service was so amazing it would be a crime to not share. My stylist was Leah at the Mentor location and she gave me the best color of my life. I wanted to try something new with my thin blonde strands, and she gave me an amazing subtle hombre. She told me the price before she started coloring, and this salon doesn’t allow you to tip. The price included a hand and arm massage as well as a make up touch up. Leah rocks and I’ve never looked better! Go see Leah!!!

I’ve been going to Jenn Velotta for 3+ years. I started with her at L&G, followed her elsewhere and then followed her back — that’s how much I trust her with my thick, greying, curly-​to-​wavy Ukranian hair. She’s always been willing to work with me, made good calls when I asked her to, and followed my lead when I knew what I wanted. She won’t force small talk on you if you’re not feeling it, but she’s also a lovely and outgoing person so I always look forward to catching up with her.
I’ve also seen other stylists in a pinch, and they’ve always done a great job as well. Finally, Ladies & Gentlemen is tip-​free, which is always great. I’m perfectly happy to have my tip baked in.
Only minus is no guest wifi.

I love this place. My hair dresser Jason is wonderful! Everyone is always so friendly. I moved 30 minutes further south and I still will drive up there.

Great place — pros: mini facial/​hand massage with hair wash, no tipping policy, great stylists (I have been to 3 — all very impressed with!), aveda products. Cons: pricey, takes a longggg time for coloring — what I have found is that they will schedule a hair cut while you are waiting with color so you end up waiting up to 45 minutes — total time at salon for cut/​color = 3 hours.

A generous THANK YOU to Mia for giving me a spectacular cut but more importantly, it was exactly what I wanted. She was incredibly thorough and paused along the way to make sure we were on the same page. Also, you can’t help but love her very sweet and genuine disposition.

Massage was great with the steam shower and aromatherapy

I have been going to ladies and gentlemen ever since moving here a year and some change ago… I am VERY picky about who does my hair and how they do it b/​c I have very THICK, unruly, indian hair! Literally everyone I asked said to try L&G that they had been going there for years! So, finally I called and tried to make an appointment. Luckily, Jason had an appointment available not too long after I called so I booked it and prayed for the best.
Over a year later and I STILL go to Jason + L&G. And I LOVE it. Couldn’t imagine anyone else doing my hair here or going anywhere else (I lie… I did go somewhere else once b/​c I couldn’t get an appointment and HAD to get my hair done for vegas), but I’ve never cheated again! But he’s wonderful — so easy to talk to — hate sitting there in silence and you rarely do that with Jason :) :) — I highly recommend him — as long as you’re not taking appointments I want to book ;-)
Speaking of appointments, when you call, the girls are SO friendly and helpful. Jason has become increasingly popular (I am not shocked at all) and so it gets hard to make an appointment that’s convenient sometimes. Especially, with my procrastinating personality that waits a week before I want to /​need to get my hair done and is expecting to find an appointment.
I love that they use Aveda products and don’t FORCE you to buy anything. They just use the products and if you love it, tell them and they will point you in the right direction. They don’t take tips which was very weird to get used it, but it’s super nice now. I walk out spending 50 dollars flat for a haircut, awesome.
Your haircut /​color will come with an optional mini facial and hand/​arm massage — GET IT! It’s amazing and super relaxing after having your hair washed and while lying in that reclining chair.
I have also gone the L&G for arm waxes. I have gone to Missy who I LOVE. Literally she is so gentle I don’t feel like she’s ripping wax/​hair off my arms! And, she’s so friendly and talkative that it’s fun to have a conversation too!
I want to try their spa more — aka massages and nails but haven’t got a chance to. Next birthday Spa Day??? Yes, please! Accepting gifts now :) Thanks in advance :) :)

Just to be clear, this review only applies to my bridal appointment. As far as regular haircuts go, I have had good experiences here.
For brides looking to book their appointments here, be warned that while you may have no problems booking, there may be lots of last minute changes that you will have no control over.
Five weeks before my wedding, the bridal coordinator called to let me know that several of my stylists that were booked for my wedding (4 months in advance) decided to go to a hair show that weekend. This included MY stylist. I had already booked my trial appointment with the original stylist, and there was not enough time to book the new stylist for a trial appointment. Their solution was to take pictures of the hair and makeup from my trial appointment and send them to the new stylist. Then just hope for the best on the wedding day.
Since there was not much I could do about it, I reluctantly agreed. The trial appointment was fabulous. We took lots of pictures with my camera and phone. I sent them to my wedding day stylist. Fast forward to the day of the wedding: The stylist did not bring the pictures with her. Luckily, I had them on my phone still. I also noticed the stylist struggling with the hairstyle. I found out she had never done that type of hair style before. Which is exactly why having a trial appointment is useful.
I do not blame the stylist, I am extremely disappointed in the coordinator. There really was no coordination. When my sister– in– law and mother– in– law asked for appointments (weeks before the wedding), they were immediately told no. When I asked a few weeks before if I could switch from regular makeup to airbrush, I was told no. Every time something came up, rather than trying to accommodate me, I was given very little say. My opinion did not really make a difference. Very poor customer service. It is a shame because I typically love Aveda salons.
Moral of the story: Go there for a haircut, not for a bridal hairstyle. Oh, and P. S. — they charge full price for both the trial and wedding day hair/​makeup.

Went here today and got a shellac manicure. (Price was over $ 40.00) I wanted and asked for a gel manicure but apparently they brought out shellac colors as well so it was sort of a surprise to be informed, as the manicure was being done, that it was shellac. Ok, I didn’t know there was much of a difference, so I thought «whatever». Only, a gel manicure was $ 30 (quoted over the phone) and so I had to pay extra for the shellac. Anyway, I wish I would have been informed of the price difference.
The manicurist was AMAZING and wonderful and happily chatty. She offered me a coffee or water. She was AWESOME. The receptionist and cashier were kind. No tipping was permitted. The salon itself was very busy, and was very appealing to the eye. This place is a nice establishment, and the employees seem professional.
The only thing is: This is NOT a place to bring your toddlers and small children. The waiting area was full of children; one of which was a noisy, (screaming) little boy. Really, he was with two other small children, who were sitting in chairs as more «mature» ladies went without a seat. (60+). Rude and clueless parent, obviously. I stood around until they finally left (my manicurist was running behind) and I got my manicure. When I left, there were more small children cluttering the waiting area.
L&G Salon should not indulge this; it is VERY unprofessional to have toddlers in a salon where adults pay high prices to escape and pamper themselves. It was very disruptive and unnerving having a toddler screaming while somewhere, someone paid for a relaxing and quiet moment away from their own kid (s). So, a few stars knocked off for that.
Good thing their expert manicurist saved the rest of the experience.
