Business Owner

Alex Bua, PT, DPT, OCS, is a founding member of Optimum Orthopedics Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation LLC. Alex has been a licensed physical therapist since graduating from Kean University in 1998. After getting married and starting a family, he returned to school and earned his transitional doctorate in physical therapy from UMDNJ in 2007.

Alex has been certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists of the APTA as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. This certification acknowledges that Alex is specialized in the field of orthopedic physical therapy and is only one of a select few to hold this certification. Alex is completing his certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessments or SFMA. This knowledge enables him to assess fundamental patterns of movement with a total body evaluation and determine how a chronic condition may impact your entire body. This certification has given Alex the tools necessary to more accurately evaluate chronic conditions
