Very rarely is Johnnies a place to go to. Their«sales» are the opposite of what«SALE» means. However, you can get a decent cut of steak from this place and once in a great while… they do remember the definition of SALE. If you have a car, go to Market Basket in Salem. No real reason except for a nice cut of steak to come here.

Ever wonder where all the unsold foods go to from the real grocery stores? Now you know. Johnnie’s moves into old closed grocery stores, does little to renovate & then sells half rotten produce & re-tagged meats & poultry. At the time when I lived not so far away from this place being single I would eat out 5 – 6 days per week. Johnnie’s was good for the things I needed most, Coke, cranberry juice for mixers :-) & T/P. If you must go there, stick with the packaged foods, stay away from chicken(TRUSTME) & even avoid the frozen stuff. UMM good stuff??, this location is easy to get to, has plenty of parking, & has a even more run down Rite Aid and newer McDonald’s on the same property.
