Hello all… I have been a regular customer of Sue(the owner) since the Spa opened its doors. This is an A-1 business owned and operated by a seasoned professional. The service is outstanding, the organizational and scheduling are as good as you can find; additionally, Sue is a fine upstanding business owner who strives to please her customers. I have seen Sue and her staff interact with 100’s of customers of all ages and never once have I seen any person less than 100% satisfied with the Sue and her spa’s service. As an unsuspecting customer the day that Katie and her«boyfriend» pulled the schenegans on Sue… I was a direct party watching the entire episode unfold. Bottom line: katie and her«boyfreind» are a very young immature pair of winners. I watched for over 30 minutes as Sue did everything she could to try and make«katie» and her«boyfreind» satisfied. Instead, it was a barrage of obscene phone calls, threats, and the normal bs that you would expect from a young person trying to scam someone. katie repeated threats over and over…“I’m going to get you, I’m going to… ya ya ya… get a life twink… Message to Katie… grow up, mature… everyone that knows Sue will read this and probably laugh… For those of you that have never been there, call and speak with Sue, I am 100% positive you will be treated with respect and professionalism, as well as get great service and results…

Sue is absolutely amazing! I work in entertainment and I have to count on my hair dresser and stylist. I knew I would have to find someone special. To my relief, Sue is a miracle worker! Not only that, she is up to date and very trendy. That’s the short story. The long story is. I wouldn’t have this length if it wasn’t for Sue taking such great care of my hair! I didn’t even realize it was happening, but she was doing what my other hair dressers could not; cut hair. Whenever I leave the Seaport Salon and Day Spa, I feel like sat down with one of the top hair dressers in Boston, except it’s right here! in my own city! If you just broke up with your last hair dresser because she chopped off all your bangs or dyed your hair 20 different colors, call Sue. I never have to worry about those crazy freak accidents with her. My hair is beautiful and she keeps my look updated. Thank you Sue and Seaport Salon and Day Spa for all of the awesome work you do!

Save your money and your sanity… THISPLACESUCKS!!! I bought a groupon for $ 75 for a couples massage here for my boyfriend for valentine’s day. He booked it for our anniversary, a month and a half in advance! They booked it for the WRONGMONTH(one month earlier than we requested), then NEVER called to remind us so when we «no-showed» on the wrong date they had us penciled in for, they said they’d only honor one of the two massages. Begrudingly, I accepted it and we rebooked the massage for my boyfriend. His appt was TODAY and we called to see if the owner would let us reschedule it for three days later(almost two hours befor the appt) because we got stuck in torrential down pours and Bruins Parade traffic. The owner(who is the WORST customer service person I’ve ever encountered) said she’d try to catch the massage therapist(KAREN, who now ALSOSUCKS) before she arrived at the salon but to still try to come in for the appt. We rushed on our bikes INTHEPOURINGRAIN home to somerville, and when we had to pull over the SECOND time in the rain(now 45 minutes before the appt) we called the salon AGAIN. The owner answered again and when we gave her our status she said to still just come in and try to get there as the massage therapist had not returned her phone calls. After much ado, we arrived home, jumped in the car and got to Lynn(all the way from Somerville at $ 4 a frigging gallon). My boyfriend walked in at 4:16(16 mins late and after two phone calls saying we’d be late) to find out that massage therapist had left at ten minutes after four. she waited TENMINUTES, then LEFT, after everything we went throught… and you know why she did? Becuase the stupid, horrible, rotten owner said the groupon was now fully void. So, not only did my boyfriend drive the fiffteen miles to Lynn to a masseussless salon, but his groupon, his valentine’s gift from me(our first val day together) will no longer be honored. Thank you Seaport Day Spa for ruining our Valentine’s day and for using a massage to ADD to our stress instead of taking it away. Awesome. P. S. The only reason i gave it a star was because it wouldn’t let me do any less.

I’ve been very stiff lately, so one day I happen to have the evening free so I called them and made an appointment. They are open quite late which suits my schedule. The massage therapist was very professional and gave a deep-tissue massage that felt very good. I am still no less stiff, so not sure if it was effective. But I’ve never really had a massage that cured my stiffness or soreness anywhere else either, so maybe I expect too much(I’m begining to wonder why other people willingly spend so much money on massages). I ended up giving them four stars because it was a nice relaxing experience overall.

I went and had my upper lip wax done here. The place looks like your average run of the mill salon but with two private rooms(one for massage and one for facials) and a smaller partial room for waxing, pedicures and hair washing. They carry alot of different products and it’s clean and welcoming. Onto the wax. Well, I have had worse and I have had far better. Firstly, the wax seemed a little too warm. She put a glob like line of it on one side of my lip and ripped it off then did the next. And that was it! She didn’t do the middle part under my nose, and she didn’t clean up the lines right at the crest of my lips. Then they do «cold stone massage» which is two small round stones that are ice cold and they put them over the freshly waxed skin(basiclly a cold compress). Then she put some kind of cream or something all along the lip, I assumed anitbacterial or calming lotion like other places do. When I was leaving she made a note that«You’re won’t be all red and obvious thanks to the cold stones» Well, get to the car and find out, it’s makeup!!! I was pissed. I have extremely sensitive skin and can only wear certain makeups, especially on freshly waxed skin. Not only that, but that color was so wrong it was even more obvious than the red irriation marks that come along with waxing. After I wiped off the makeup I saw all the hairs she had missed and what a poor job she did. I will not be returning. Watch out!
