Scary place to bring your car to have a oil change 2 min with the service writer trying to upsell you and telling what type of oil to put in the car you have had for 4 years you know you came to the wrong place

I am updating my review as Valvoline customer service contacted me and subsequently sent me a reimbursement check for the dipstick repair. I appreciate the company resolving this matter and showing me that they value customer satisfaction.

I have been going to this location on and off for years. Yes they are priced higher than others and trying to push unnecessary items but until today they have always been pleasant. I went in to get a regular oil change and everything is like normal until the guy says my air filter needs replacing. I ask how much, $ 25 he replies. No thanks I’ll do it myself. From that point that particular guy had nothing but attitude. Even when he finalized my order and I paid, I say have a good day and thanks. I get a dirty look and he walked away. Needless to day I went and bought an air filter for $ 11 and installed.

High prices that even with a coupon it will leave you scratching your head. Pushy sales people that turn a simple oil change into a colonoscopy. Take a pass and find the cheaper option.

This place charged me waay to much to change the oil. $ 59 for an oil change is too much. They made me sit in the car with the window down and then the technician went and helped another technician, not me. This is supposed to be instant. It isn’t. Their process involves yelling what they need. Because my window is down, I have to listen. So far, nobody is working on my car The filter is dirty so I have to pay another $ 29.99 for a $ 5 part. But wait, it’s on sale for $ 19.99 (for a $ 5 part)! Women working here: that’s great. Too much. Too long. WAIT. 83.42 TOO MUCH.

Major props to chicks who know about cars. I’m definitely not one of them. But, the nice young lady who did my oil change was! This was definitely a first, and I loved it! There was also another woman there who rang me up, and she was knowledgeable as well. She went over all the recommended services for my car, but didn’t try to sell me anything (very much appreciated, btw). I also had a coupon for my oil change, which they gladly accepted (you can sign up on their website to receive coupons in the mail, and I also find some in the Val-​U pack sometimes also).
Great service, and my car runs like new. Thanks again, ladies!

First, as a chick with independence issues, I appreciate it when women can perform their own car maintenance. I used to. So when I decided to finally branch out in my not so new anymore neighborhood and find a joint to change my oil, I was SO HAPPY to see women working at this oil change joint! Yay! Also, a cute boy, which always makes my day. especially when he’s fast and friendly. I was in and out in about 15 minutes, and didn’t have to be talked into anything. No hard sell, just offering. And maybe I learned something about hepa filters, too. Check on line for coupons.
