MiniLuxe Lynnfield

I have been going to this milnluxe for the past few years and was always satisfied, until the last two visits. The first visit the pedicurist was very forceful with the instruments and basically only did one foot. The second time, which was today, the management let a woman with a crying baby stay in the store for 45 minutes. The mother was extremely rude in not taking the baby outside, but management did nothing!
I will look for another place, somewhere where I can relax!

BEST manicure I’ve gotten in a long time! My cousin and I walked in looking for basic manicures ($ 20) and they were able to fit us in 15 minutes later. Our nail techs (Thu/​Daniela) were both very friendly, professional, and took their time. We are both ecstatic about our nails and although I live in NJ– the next time I’m in Massachusetts I will definitely be back here for a mani!

I went into this location to receive 3 services. Get my eyebrows done, get my very pedicure and to get a gel manicure. I walk in 15 minutes before my appt and I was greeted and the eyebrow tech greeted me and she was very nice. She did an amazing job on what little eyebrows I have. I tend to over pluck and told her this but she worked wonders. I will most definitely go back in a week or so to get my eyebrows waxed again. The after I was promptly greeted to get my pedicure. The lady was very nice. Didn’t really understand me very well but she tried. I have never received a pedicure before and am very ticklish. So let’s just say it was great she did an amazing job but I am way to ticklish for that lol.
Then she walked me over to the drying station and told me to be very careful about 100 times so I don’t smudge my feet. I kind of felt like a little kid. I’m 24 I know to gently put my feet in the dryer lol I sat at the station for about 30 minutes. I was looking around wondering when she was going to come get me for my gel manicure. She never did. Apparently I was suppose to go up to the front desk and wait for my Manicure. I didn’t know this. So after a few I walk to the desk and I ask about my manicure and the lady at the desk says «I called you» as in on the phone. I was very confused why she would call of I had already previously checked in for my first two sessions. But regardless. I was taken to the seat and the nail tech doing my nails was very nice. She did an amazing job! Besides that little minor issue I had an amazing time and they do amazing work. It’s so worth it to spend the extra money to get a good manure that lasts as appose to a half priced one that will look awful the next day. I will be back :) I loved their work.

I love getting my brows done here! Allie and Callie are the sweetest girls and do a great job at shaping and cleaning up brows. I love them both — they make it painless, quick, and enjoyable.
I have also had a mani/​pedi here as well. The technicians are extremely friendly and do a great job. My pedicures last, flawlessly, for a long time! I wanted to give my nails a break from gel and decided to try the upgraded polish ($ 10). Unfortunately, I do not think it was worth the upgrade as it quickly chipped. So, if you are typically a gel person, you might also find it disappointing. Regardless, the technician was great and the treatment was awesome, so I would definitely get gel here next time (even though it is $$$$$) if I ever stray from my usual mani/​pedi spot!
There have been 2 – 3 times where my appointment was cancelled or changed at the last minute, but it has never been a real inconvenience considering I cancel and change things at the last minute all the time — so I really can’t complain.

After a long time of wanting to try out MiniLuxe, I finally made myself an appointment for a manicure. Apparently a whole bunch of other people had the same idea as me, because even though I arrived right on time for my appointment, I was sat in the back at the pedicure station and had my manicure done over a dirty towel on my lap. My technician was very nice and the staff was definitely friendly, but I was a little bummed about this.
The nail color selection is pretty bad. There is a small shelf with a limited number of colors, and the colors that I prefer (nudes, light pinks, etc.) were on the tip top shelf — way out of arm’s reach for me. And because the salon was so busy and cramped, I just had to settle for a color on a shelf that was at my eye level. The manicure lasted about 15 minutes and was a total of $ 20. Way too expensive for what was just a mediocre manicure.
Oh, and even though I didn’t get a pedicure, I was at the pedicure station and was shocked to see that they don’t have massage chairs!

I received a gift card months ago and thought I’d use the holiday as an excuse to treat myself. Positives first: staff was friendly and polite (both on the phone when I booked appointments and in person when we checked in), the place is very bright with lots of windows, and it is very, very clean. The woman who had my appointment was also very nice. However, as a few other people have mentioned, the selection of polish colors is surprisingly small. My real issue with miniluxe is the price versus the quality. One day after the mani/​pedi cracks developed up the sides of the polish on several fingers and I got a big chip on one of my big toes. Now 5 days later my fingers and big toes are so chipped they look like I did a slapdash job myself instead of paying $ 60 plus tip. Toying with the idea of letting them do a polish change before I go on my work trip, but I think it’s more likely I will check out a different spot.
Tl;dr: convenient, but quality not commensurate with the high price.

Staff is very nice but if you are going to charge $ 30 for a manicure you better have all your ducks in a row. Today they screwed up my appointment for the second time. Both times booking my manicure for a polish change. First time it happened I figured I screwed up or just wasn’t paying attention. No harm no foul. The second time was this morning when I clearly said hybrid manicure. No where in the conversation had I said my nails were chipped or even mentioned the word polish. Since it is the busy holiday season they didn’t have time to accommodate their screw up. I have 4 Christmas parties over the next four days and they really screwed me with this mistake. I also have a babysitter during his time and couldn’t rebook for later in the day. They tried to tell me I was booked for a five day chip fix which is a lie because my last manicure with them was 8 days ago. Not to mention they had already removed my nail polish by the time I figured out they didn’t book me correctly. I have never walked out of somewhere so mad. Never going back. Too much money for these kind of Mickey Mouse shenanigans. I stood up and said this is the second time this happened and just walked out.
Found Aria Nails in Wakefield 10 minutes away and they fit me in what looked like an already fully booked day for them and they did a nice job.
Miniluxe is just not worth the price.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, and decided to check out their website— the website made it so easy to book an appointment that I made one immediately occurring within the next 2 hrs on a Saturday! It was an amazing website, so easy to use. Once I got there, I was immediately greeted and setup for one of the best pedicures I have received. Ever. (and i get pedicures often– at least once a month) It was amazing. I also got the extra callas removal and my feet have never felt so soft. I did not know my feet could even feel that soft.
The downsides: this place is a bit more pricey, but it is well worth the splurge every once and a while. The reception area is TIGHT. Like too many people, and not able to check in and pay or select colors without squishing around someone tight. The pedicure benches do not massage and it is a but tight and congested in this area (especially if you shopped before hand and brought your bags in with you). So I would give this place 6 stars but I’ll settle for 4.5 based upon the price and the tight space. I’ll be back to try the manicures.

I went here expecting to be blown away, given the prices. Was less than pleased with my experience.
First, I was told to arrive promptly at 7:15 for an appointment. My service started at 7:40.
Second, The staff at the front desk were chatting with each other the entire time even though I was asking for help regarding the gel/​non-​gel colors. So frustrating!
Third, the seats are so uncomfortable. For that price, I was expecting a massage chair at least. Nope.
The women who were doing our (me and my sister) nails were very sweet. No complaints there!
I could not get over the price. It was well over $ 200 for the two of us!!! What???
While its a little but of a drive, head to Melrose and go to Gloss. Still no massage chairs, but the price is incredibly reasonable and the service is wonderful. Amazing technicians there.
Will not be returning to this salon and will absolutely not recommend to friends! Bummer!

Staff is nice. I like that you can book appointments online. I got a pedicure a little less than a week ago and it was terrible. I was with a friend who loved her pedicure but if I’m shelling out extra money for a callus treatment, I expect to see a difference. So less than a week later they are dry and hard. I’m not a fan.

I went here today for a gel application pedicure and removal. The experience would have been great except the lady that was doing my nails was so rough with the removal that she actually cracked my big toenail if half. Other than that the place is lovely and I’ll definitely be going back.

I have been going to the miniluxe in Newton Center for 2 years now and absolutely love it there, I have also had a great experience. A girlfriend recently moved north of the city so a group of 4 of us decided to book gel manicures for a wedding the next day at the miniluxe in lynnfield. I wish we had gone to Newton.
We arrived 3 minutes late, when we walked in we were reminded we were late and we understood we would have to pick our color quickly. Then after 3 women chatted for 15 minutes trying to decide if they could squeeze us we were told 2 of us could get regular manicures 2 of us could get polish changes. If they had taken us in when we first got there they would of had plenty of time.
After a very uncomfortable 18 minutes we decided to leave. As we were leaving one of the girls mentioned the wedding and all of a sudden the girl at the desk offered to squeeze us in. At this point there was so much frustration and annoyance with the situation none of us wanted to get our nails done there. Miniluxe in Newton has great customer service and a great team, Miniluxe in Lynnfield needs alot of work, the customer service is absolutely terrible!

I wish I knew about MiniLuxe earlier because I would of been going there the entire time! The salon itself is so clean, crisp and bright. The only downside is the services are rather pricey, but you get what you pay for. The quality of service makes me come back every single time. The fact that they guarantee a chip free manicure is what separates MiniLuxe from other salons. Appointments can be booked online for convince, which is another bonus. I love this place.

I’m actually not surprised that there are some serious negative reviews for this location. This was our first and last time we give miniluxe our service. And I can honestly say I have not received such bad service with a business EVER.
We made an appt for a wedding party of only 2 people, we showed up exactly 9 min late due to traffic and once we arrived they told us that since we were late we could not get the manicures. We actually scheduled gel nails but they told us we didn’t …when we know for a fact we did because that’s what we wanted!!! My sister who was the bride was already in tears from stress at this point that they settled for just the regular polish, which imo if it was up to me I would have just left.
So, my mom got her nails painted. As she was leaving she noticed one of her fingers were smudged and when she told them and asked for it to be fixed THEY TOLD HER NO.
SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF NAIL BUSINESS REFUSES TO FIX A SMUDGE IMMEDIATELY AFTER ???
They said the next appointment showed up so there was no way they could fix it. Since it was for a wedding my mom had no choice but to purchase the nail polish to fix it herself.
What an utter waste of money.
In the parking lot I tried to find a customer service # and there wasn’t one for some odd reason so I went back in the store and asked for the manager. I very politely explained to her what had happened and she even agreed that the girl refusing to fix the smudged nail was wrong but she still told me we would have to make an appointment for everything to be fixed. UM. NO.
Days before a wedding no one has the time or the money for that. Not to mention we’d most likely get better service from a homeless person than from the people who run this business.
What they should have done was taken my mother back right then and there and fixed her nail and gave her a refund. But that’s ok because none of us will ever be back. Also by the looks of some of these similar reviews they might not be in business to much longer. I highly recommend the owner of this business take a look at how customers are treated and that there is more to running it than keeping scheduled appointments vs good customer service.

I’ll start with the positive and say that Linda is great for pedicures, but I got one at this location about a month ago and that will unfortunately be my last. I was excited to find a quality nail place that was convenient for me, right around my favorite Whole Foods. I kind of balked at the price, considering they charge extra for callus care that most places include in the base price. But because of their advertised philisoply and the beautiful space, I was willing to shell out a bit more cash and make this my regular spot. Unfortunately, during my last appointment, there was a crying baby there and it totally ruined the experience. I get that stuff happens, but at roughly $ 50 for a pedi, I want a relaxing experience. For me, it’s not worth chancing it again.

Booked an appointment online for a manicure at Miniluxe, figured I would give this place a shot. Easy to book an appointment online.
From the moment I walked in it was Nightmare City ! I got their 15 minutes before my appointment so I could pick out a color, my app was @ 330, and the nail tech didn’t take me till 350 ! I am a stickler for time so I was beyond annoyed, and couldn’t even enjoy the manicure because I kept looking at the time because I needed to be somewhere @ 415.
While I was waiting for my appointment, I got to watch a rude eyebrow tech. She was annoyed her wax wasn’t hot, that she had to cut her strips, and that she had to use the brow bar up front. She kept rolling her eyes, huffing and puffing like a 2 year old; all in front of customers !
It also appears there is an issue with booking appointments, I watched so many groups of 4s come in so they could do their services together, but somehow it got screwed up and they all had to go at different times or rebook; talk about inconvenient !!
Needless to say $ 19 later for a not on time manicure, I’ve had better at local nail salons for only $ 15. I would have no issue spending $ 19 or even more if it was on time and worth it, but it just wasn’t.

I am so surprised to see so many negative reviews! I’ve never had a bad experience at MiniLuxe in Lynnfield. Knowing I’ll spend a little bit more than some of the other local salons is fine by me, since I’ve had a gel mani from MiniLuxe that’s lasted nearly a month! I usually time my appointments based on email promotions I receive to tack on nice add-​ons. I really like the non-​massaging chairs for pedicures, online booking (always making sure I book ahead of time since they get so busy), unbelievable levels of cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. Yes, the atmosphere is social, but it’s never loud to the point of detracting from my services.
I make an event of it and stop at Starbucks for coffee ahead of time then head over to a few other stores for some shopping and picking up goodies at Whole Foods for dinner. Can’t go wrong!

If your primary concern is cleanliness when getting a mani-​pedi. this the the go-​to place. Yep they are more pricey than the very average nail shops, but it’s worth it.
I have been here about 6 times in the last 8 months and I have never been disappointed. During the service the service the nail techs are very pleasant and accommodating and my nails themselves look great. On a couple of occasions I had opted for the gel nails and unlike other places they did not grind my natural nail beds down to an unhealthy level. So it’s my nail place … to get there I must pass a half a dozen other nail places, but I don’t mind at all.

I’ve been to the lynnfield miniluxe a handful of time since they opened and have always had good service. I rarely get manicures because I work on healthcare but I love to indulge in a good pedicure every now and again. The technicians are always pleasant, thorough and kind, they do try to push the up-​sell and add ons but don’t press if you say no thank you. I’ve never had a problem with the online booking system. My only caveat is if you book online and then get a promo offer they won’t honor it unless you cancel and re-​book. Most other establishments will honor a running promotion if you mention it, even if you didn’t use the code when booking online.
The prices are too high for me to go on a regular basis, but the cleanliness and sterile tools appease my germaphobia enough that I will go back once in a while.

When I want a mani/​pedi — my first priority is someplace clean. I get nervous about some of the less expensive options, who may be reusing tools or not cleaning the soak basins. This is most definitely not the case at Mini Luxe. The spa is very clean — so much so that they let you take home your buffer and file as they are meant for single use.
The manicure is good, though I could have used a bit more massage (especially since this is the difference between the regular and the express).
The pedicure is great though — the bench seating is very comfortable, and makes it easy for us to have sister time and chat while we’re pampered. We both added on the callus treatment, which was amazing, and I think going to be my add on every time! My feet felt so soft after. The exfoliating massage was also very good, and long, for my tired feet.
Very friendly people, but definitely book an appointment (which you can do online!)
