History
Established in 2002.
Aikido Heiwa — Martial Arts for Peace began as an effort to bring traditional martial arts training and values, with a non-competitive atmosphere to the north Seattle communities. Aikido is known for its non-agressive, but practical training for personal growth and self-defense skills building. It is an ideal practice for people looking to not practice fight-sport martial arts or who want something more intellectual and spiritually substantive for themselves or their children to learn. The Heiwa dojo was created by an instructor with over two decades of teaching and training experience, but an attitude that he too is always a student and in that he continues to train regularly and refine the work for his students’ benefit.
