Alderbrooke Apartments

My husband and I have lived in the Seattle area for almost 5 years. We have lived in 3 different apartment complexes through out our time here and I can definitely say that Alderbrooke has been the best place we have rented from. The management team is extremely friendly and professional. Our apartment is the perfect size and very cozy! The grounds are always maintained and our neighbors are awesome. I’m so happy we chose to live here!

Went to check out an apartment, was treated with the most rude lady who told me not to live there and told me to leave. I was being polite and just information seeking. Don’t live here!

I’ve lived in Alderbrooke Apartments from 2011 until 2014 and I’m sad to be leaving now as the increasing rents, which I would pay if I could afford to, are outside of my budget at this time. If my circumstances changed in the future I would definitely want to return.
The interiors are not luxurious but I’m comfortable, I have the most amazing view of the mountains, I’m walking distance to Alderwood Mall and bus stops, a minute from two freeways. The location is absolutely perfect. The seagulls wake me up first, then the sweetest birds start to sing in the trees outside our windows. (Thank you Linda for fighting with the garbage companies to pick up later in the morning at the mall stores behind of us!)
I love the peace and quiet for the past two years. When I first moved in there were a few annoyances with other tenants who didn’t care about the community by leaving cigarette butts everywhere or not controlling their animals, etc. I arrived shortly after the current manager and within two months the outside of the buildings were upgraded. Yes, I was a bit annoyed at the time because of health issues I have trouble sleeping and just as I would get to sleep the workers would show up 7 days a week but the result was well worth it. When your surroundings are beautiful it lifts your mood. By the end of the first year the noise was gone and the people who don’t follow the community rules are gone.
Yeah! Thank you, Linda! I hear people complain and have read the complaints here about management. She is extremely professional and takes her JOB seriously as she should. In my opinion, it’s her ability to cut through the bullshit and take care of business that has made this place the amazing community that it is today. She makes the cabana warm and inviting for us and if you spend time in there she will come out and greet you and share a moment of pleasant conversation. But business is business as it should be. Oh yes I also remember once locking my keys in my car and luckily she had a coupon for a tow service that she gave me which totally saved me. I really think she’s getting picked on unfairly in these reviews because she’s always went out of her way to be not only cordial but helpful to me. If she’s ever had something to speak to me about it’s been very professional and I like a captain who runs a tight ship. We need that because not everyone was taught to respect their neighbors.
I truly feel we have a community here. I’ve participated in several community events such as a community rummage sale and BBQ’s at the Cabana. I often will spend time watching the news in the Cabana or even meet international students that I enjoy helping to practice their English skills. I find everyone now living here in this diverse community to be respectful, friendly and pleasant.
I love it and I think you will, too. If you want to party loudly, bump your stereo at all hours of the morning and night, not pick up after yourself or your dogs or engage in illegal activities then keep don’t bother yourself trying to ruin this lovely place because I’m sure you’ll be gone quickly. If you like a peaceful and lovely community in an amazing location, Welcome home.

New management for past 1 ½ yrs — many improvements, including getting rid of many of the «old» tenants who were druggies, drunks, etc. That alone should make folks look here. Apartments have been renovated when the old tenants have moved out and are much better than what we moved into. Maintenance issues are taken care of much quicker than before, a better system where they are on top of it. Weight room has new equipment — hooray! A bit small for space but none the less it’s better than what they had before. While someone mentioned mold, I too get the mold around the windows — bleach and hot water remove it, comes with living in damp climate. (if you think you have mold that affects your lungs, etc. call the health dept and have them look at it, they should be taking samples). Each apartment has a covered parking spot, uncovered for other cars and an upper level with open parking. BUT — you have folks that park in the loading/​unloading zone as well as the 30 min parking and are not willing to move their cards for folks to either get their mail or want to unload their groceries. These areas should have a sign to keep them open — and though some of these folks actually provide services for the complex, that shouldn’t be a reason why they are allowed to do it — and all the good folks here are conscientious about others.

Wost. Apartment. EVER. There is mold everywhere. I told the new manager and she said it was our fault. Everyone that spends the night gets sick… It’s ruined several of my personal things I had in a closet. I took pictures and plan to talk to the health department about it. If my lease wasn’t up tomorrow, I’d try to get out of it due to the conditions.
