The best thing about this store is the new thrift store that shares the building. I found NW Furniture Outlet to be horribly organized, and a bit creepy. They had some interesting furniture in their store, but I had the feeling they were avoiding us. Nobody acknowledged my existence, and when I tried to ask a question, the one person who was moving stuff around acted like he didn’t hear me. I know he must have seen me, because he nearly ran me over with his hand truck. Their prices were outrageous, and their stuff seemed cheaply manufactured. My thought is they should just let the thrift store take over the whole building. Next up, I’m going to find out the name of the thrift store so I can give them a 5-star review!

I came to this dealer because they had such a beautiful design for some bedroom furniture. Such stunning graceful curves! I was hooked. Unfortunately, actually getting the furniture proved to be a problem. Step 1, they promised they could deliver most of it in two weeks(one item was backordered, but they should have that one a few weeks later). A month later, they showed up for the delivery. Everything was going fine until I see them carrying the bed up the stairs. It was both the wrong colour and wrong design. But I felt OK about that because this kind of mistake can happen to anyone, right? The wrong bed was shipped back and a new bed was promised in two weeks. Additionally, the nightstands as delivered were both missing one bracket, used to hold up the glass shelf. But, again, this is minor. I asked them to make sure they brought extra brackets when they returned. Step 2, Two weeks came and went, and I heard no news from them. They had assured me they would call to follow up, but I heard nothing. I called them, but they never ever returned my messages. I dropped by the showroom and was told the bed and remaining dresser would take an additional two weeks. Step 3, repeat step 2, only this time I was told that the manufacturer had run out of this model, and the production schedule was such that I needed to wait until August to get my bed. «By the end of august» to be exact. Step 4, august arrives. Repeat step 2. August came and went and still no call, no furniture, and I called them about every two weeks. A few weeks into september, as I’m calling them again, I was told the guy would call me back that same day. A few days later, he did call to say that my bed had arrived! Hooray! Sure, it was four months later, but at last I would have my matching set! Only, one problem, the last piece of the set had been discontinued, and hadn’t been in the shipping container. He asked me to come to the store to look at possible replacement items which were similar and could be ordered in the same colour. Step 5, I go to the store, and they do show me a replacement dresser, but it’s vastly different in shape(really quite an odd shape), so a matching finish would not make a difference. After a few irate phone calls, the guy calls me back again saying that he could in fact get the item, but that it would take longer. LONGER. Step 6, at this point my head exploded. I couldn’t believe that they just found out after the shipping container arrived, that the dresser wasn’t included. Or that it was discontinued. It’s my feeling they should’ve known two weeks earlier when the container was loaded. In fact, I can’t believe they couldn’t find that out back when I purchased it and it was merely«backordered». All in all, the customer service experience was exceedingly bad. If they had merely put some effort forward in determining what was available from the manufacturer, I feel certain this would have been a much better experience. But perpetually saying«two weeks» and rarely returning calls is a bad way to do business. Why was it my responsibility to continually call them? They should’ve been making bi-monthly follow up calls to the manufacturer, as well as to me. Also, why did the story change when I made a fuss? Was the item discontinued, or wasn’t it? This experience felt extremely shady. In the end I asked for a full refund and returned the furniture that had been delivered back in June. I was given a check when they picked up the set, which hasn’t cleared yet, but I’m hoping for the best. I don’t think these guys are really criminal, I just think they’re totally incompetent. If the customer service had been better, I might have kept the partial set, but as it was, I didn’t want them to profit from my business. And I was just soooo relieved to not have to deal with them any more.

I was searching around to buy some new dining chairs for work. I was refered to this furniture store by a co-worker, so I thought I would give it a try. Upon entering I felt okay, and was sold 4 chairs at a 10 dollars off discount. 2 were assembled and the other 2 were not. I put the 2 at the table for my clients to use and the other two I waited to assemble. Within 1 week the base of the chairs began to crack and a tear in the cheap fabric of the chair appeared. I had been checking to ensure the legs were tight very often to make sure the chairs were being taken care of. But the quality of the chairs was horrible. They«assured» me that they were quality and would last a long time. NOTTHECASE. As for the other two in my office, when I did actually try to assemble them, the screws that came with it were the wrong size and did not fit the legs of the chair. Preventing me from assembling them anyway. I just got off the phone with the«manager» and he said there is nothing they can do. I described the way I took extra care of them to try and help ensure a long life, but he did not care about the actual quality he had sold me. All he seemed to care about, was that he had sold merchandise and refused to return it, even after it began to break after weeks of normal use. If you shop for furniture here, you are basically throwing away your money. Cheap furniture hidden behind false promises of quality and not that great prices. If you want to see a salesman answer your questions in round about ways while his«manager» eats his KFC lunch behind the counter while ringing you up, and then come to realize the whole purchase was an incredibly bad idea, then by all means shop here.
