My review is based on the immigration medical services he provides as a uscis civil surgeon for green card applicants. My husband and I had a very satisfactory experience, so i thought of sharing it here.
After calling up each and every uscis civil surgeon’s office in the Seattle Tacoma area for quotes, and being surprised at how the doctor fees are a complete rip off ranging from anything between $ 160-​$ 800 per head, average being $ 250-​$ 300 per head, we finally found Dr. Phan and settled for him. Here’s why:
1. Dr. Phan’s quotes were the cheapest. His office quoted us $ 140 per head for the medical exam, skin test, blood test and paperwork. No hidden costs, no surprises.
2. Very friendly and cooperative behavior. Everybody ranging from staff to doctor, made us feel extremely comfortable. I probably called the receptionist 5 – 6 times to ask about the quotes, book appointments, other clarifications etc. But she was always patient and ready to help. She explained the process and the costs very well. She also booked me and my husband next day appointments when we mentioned the urgency, even when the doctor had a busy schedule for the day. Dr. Phan too has a very pleasing personality which will not intimidate you at all (important for me, someone who has a perpetual scare for anything needles!)
3. Very organized. The initial paperwork, wait time, checkup and tests took far less time than we expected. They knew exactlty what they were doing and will tell you what to bring for the appointment. Just follow their instructions, thats it. And dont hesitate to ask if you are not clear.
4. The best thing about them is the money part. They dont have an attitude to squeeze money out of you. The staff went OUT OF THEIR WAY to assist us in anyway possible. They checked repeatedly (even on the 2^nd day) if we can be reimbursed any part of the costs by our insurance, rather they insisted that we should get our vaccinations done there so we can get covered and save money. Unfortunately our insurance plan categorizes certain vaccinations under travel, so it was out-​of-​pocket-​expenses anyways. But the costs were cheaper at Dr. Phan’s ($ 80 per head) than our insurance hospital lab ($ 95 per head), so we got it from him.
Bottomline: good doctor and staff, great experience, no hiccups, no surprises, everything went smoothly and we got our reports on time.
I highly recommend Dr. Phan if you are looking for good civil surgeons for immigration services thats slightly easy on your pocket.
