This place is great as long as you know what to expect, and know what your after. Expect the fruits and vegies to be near their end. Expect the isles to be being stocked with little room left for the customer. Expect to being on your own as an English only speaking shopper. Be after the good deals, there are many to be found here. Fruits, vegies are cheap, make use of them soon. Canned goods are priced right, curry, tum yum, cheap. Asian rice, European meats, Turkish jarred vegies, they got it, and its priced good.

My boyfriend drags me here all the time. Its his favorite place to stock up on avocados(he has an addiction). They do have a large variety of fruits and vegetables for decent prices. A lot of things that you can not find in the traditional supermarket. They have an interesting assortment of canned goods as well. It can be very crowded in here, its hard to walk down an aisle if someone else is already standing in it. Plus it can take awhile to check out if it is busy. I usually am just along for the ride and rarely buy anything.

I love that Star Fruits carries almost every Asian food item you ever need, right in the convenience of Lynnwood. One time I was looking for basil seeds & they had them! I then needed frozen pandan leaves & a specific brand of ginger tea and of course they carried it! Prices are so much better than Ranch 99. I like their cookies, crackers and candy aisles… really good Asian sweets. In the winter they carry persimmons by the cart load and in the summer they have jack fruit which is usually hard to find. Of course I also like their fresh baguettes… I usually come here weekly for fresh fruits & veggies which are priced right.

The prices here are better than grocery stores and better than Country Farms. I did not see organic products. Most of the produce does not say where it is from and that is a negative for me. Produce quality is better than average. There are a lot of ethnic foods mostly Asian. Business was brisk and that indicates something. I got bananas at .69 a pound and large bags of radishes at a buck a bag but no weight was listed. I may stop in again when I go next door to Yeh Yeh’s.

This is a normal ethnic market/produce store. However, their selection is great. The produce is always nice, with great selection. They have tons of products. I get canned curry, coconut milk, sesame oil, and goat here all the time. The prices are very good, and if I need something along these lines I’d rather go here than to a ‘real’ grocery store which will mark up the cost by double or more. It’s also right on the Swift Line, so it’s easy to get to. If you are going to Edmonds Community College, it’s right on the way, and the perfect place to stop for some fruit, and a juice for breakfast. However, the crowning achievement that has me raving about them is that they sell European formula Ovaltine. HOLYCRAP! You have no idea how hard it is to find the Euro Ovaltine. Not the overly sugared Nestle Quick taste-a-like stuff that goes for Ovaltine in the states. The Euro stuff is the same recipe that the old fashioned Ovaltine here used to be made like. This is worth taking the Swift Line to Edmonds for.

Star Market(Star Fruit & Vege) has really become more one of my near-daily shopping stops! It has more and more offerings I’m interested in each time I enter! I’ve started to really enjoy their dairy section, in which they’ve had some hard to find Turkish/European white cheeses I could not otherwise find! I love their coffee section because when I want to grab an instant coffee and don’t have time to find the fixin’s to go with a Starbucks Via, they’ve got maybe 5 – 6 different 3-in-1 instant coffees(coffee, creamer, and sugar in one packet) to choose from! I nearly daily come to grab fresh baked bread(4 good hoagie-like rolls for about $ 1.69). Fresh pitas and fresh Euro/Asian desserts are often in at some point in the week and there’s always something to be had here! It’s a great selection of Asian necessities, fresh produce, also many hard-to-find European items are here and the prices are good! I also found that they carry the phone cards I purchase weekly, so I don’t have to stop at the smoke shop at 3rd& Pine downtown nearly as often(which is a plus)!

I love this store! best food quality, great price, everything is wonderfully inexpensive. Abundant fresh produce(move over QFC) this is the Daddy of all the fresh fruits and vegetables and more. You don’t have to spend your whole paycheck, for few dollars you can have a bag full of fresh foods. I recommend Starr Fruit store to every one I know, and my family go to this store too for a big savings. Thank you Starr Fruit you;re a Five Star! M

Star Fruit is a great place to shop. Good prices on a wide selection of fruit and vegetable. Great selection of asian and other«ethic» foods. Its target market is not the shoppers from albertsons a few blocks away.
