This salon is co-located with the H-Mart grocery store. They’re hit or miss. It depends on who ends up cutting your hair. Last time I was here, it was $ 25 for a men’s haircut.

I was shopping at H-Mart when I came across The Who Hair Biz. I remembered a conversation with my friend the night before about how I wanted to chop my hair like Frida Pinto’s. I walked in without an appointment and without an idea of who was going to cut my hair and how it was going to turn out. The cut was quick and Sue knew exactly what to do with the photo from my phone. She cut 4 inches and I was magically transformed into a Korean version of Pinto! I will be coming back again! P. S. The cut was only $ 35.00

Don’t spend your money and get a straight perm or any perm here! They are expensive and the solutions they use suck and do not last long. Damaged hair. Haircuts are ok… kind of like Great Clips where it’s ok cuts. $ 30 is pricey for blunt, shaggy cuts. I’ve paid $ 15 for better cuts. Hairdressers talk in Korean and yell a lot. They talk to their clients and say things like… «That haircut will not come out because your head shape and hair lining is that way.» … or «Your hair color will get lighter after several washes.» «You shouldn’t do that haircut because your face shape is round.» Lol… Hairstylists charge a buttload, but don’t act like an upscale salon. They dress casual and drop their combs and reuse it without sanatizing. They chew gum and talk wayyyy too much. If you get anything done here, go to Ann. Annie(I think this is her name).

I’m pretty particular when it comes to deciding which hair salon I want to visit. I actually first started going to Who Hair Biz thanks to my mom, who’s a frequent customer herself. This salon is usually my go-to for more complicated/time-consuming hair treatments instead of haircuts — ex. hair coloring, Magic straight perms, etc. While there are other stylists available, try and get an appointment with the owner or her sister — they have a bit more experience and consistently provide high quality work. Although the prices are on the higher side($ 70 for hair coloring, $ 35 for a women’s haircut), I find myself coming back again and again because I know they will do a good job. This salon is actually located inside of the H-Mart, across from the market’s registers/exit. Like all other salons, it’s typically busiest during the weekends. While drop-ins are available, I highly recommend booking an appointment in advance to save time and energy. :)

The person who did shampooing my hair was extremely rough and it was extremely uncomfortable. After the rough shampooing, the hair was dried by rubbing towel extremely rough against scalp, which was equally painful and uncomfortable. I bet they wouldn’t shampoo and towel dry their own hair in this rough and uncomfortable way. They shouldn’t shampoo and dry customers’ hair like this either.

This place is legit for Asian hair, especially if you’re Korean. I’ve been getting hair cuts from K-town for 10 years in New York. It’s very hard to find a person that can cut Asian well. I’ve been to 4 different places in Seattle, and this is by far the fastest and best cut I get and they charge a fair price for guy’s hair — $ 25.

My hairdresser moved away so I’ve been looking for a new stylist. Someone told me to come here and ask for Soung. I was skeptical at first, after all, the salon is located inside of the H-Mart(Korean market). But I’m glad I did give a try. Soung listened and asked for what I liked and showed me pictures of Asian ladies and their hair to describe what she could do to my hair. Except a slight language barrier on her end that my hair ended up getting a bit shorter than I originally wanted, I DO like my haircut a lot! Especially, she really knows what to do with my bang(which many stylists from L.A. to Seattle couldn’t figure out) and gave me a youthful and low-maintenance haircut as I asked for. I am really picky with my hair and she really did a great job. This is a more typical Asian hair salon where there’s no fu-fu tea or coffee service or scalp massage, but the salon is clean and you get a nice haircut from skilled stylists. For $ 35 I got I a MUCH better haircut then the one I got from the 7 Salon in Bellevue Square a few months ago! I’m definitely going back!

I am never setting foot into this hair salon again. Out of several, only one haircut has been particularly satisfactory. The way the hairstylists cut my hair is extremely uneven and most of the time, they insult my hair even though they are the ones who cut it last. It was extremely hard to restrain myself from slapping my latest hairstylist in the face. He was extremely rude and YELLED at me for not«keeping my head straight.» Apparently, he has extremely high standards for keeping your head straight because no other hair stylist has EVER asked me to keep my head straight. I had to work very hard to keep my head in the exact position he put it in to prevent being yelled at and even if I moved so much as a millimeter, he would yell at me again and say, «This is YOUR haircut. Do you want me to screw it up or not? KEEPYOURHEADSTRAIGHT.» How rude. Thanks to him, Who Hair Biz has lost a customer. What an awful salon.

I usually get my hair done there, and am impressed by the services they provide, but yesterday’s performance must me noted. I went in with my gf to get our hair done, and could not help overhear the conversation that was going on in the chair nearby. One of the hair dressers, Charlie, was yelling, at his client. It was obvious that the client was not an english speaker, and was perhaps even hard of hearing, and could not understand him, but that did not stop him from belittling her. He spoke to her so rudely, that it made me feel uncomfortable sitting there. what was worse was that the lady doing my hair was laughing too! If anyone ever spoke to my mother in such a manner, I would probably sock the person in the face, and that was really all i could think about. I hope they really talk to their staff about proving good customer service, because karma is going to come back and kick them in the behind.
