Circle Drive-In Package Store

Circle Drive In Package has been there for years. It looks to me like it was an old gas station at one time. It’s a one-​man operation, not the biggest store in town, nor have all the stock of some other stores but what it lacks in these areas, it makes up in price and personality.
As I said, one-​man operation. Interesting store from the get go. It’s not so much that he has unusually decorated the place but has accumulated over the years unusual items that sit on top of the walls. I think there’s a white-​gasoline iron and a small wooden figure of a head hunter or something like that.
Some of his stock is old which is good. He has some very classy scotch and if you don’t mind a bit of dust on it and appreciate that it’s the same quality at that fancy store but a lot cheaper, you’ll like this place.
Want a fancy wine? He has a wine cellar built to keep the climate more controlled and you may find a bargain or that hard to find item.
Much of his beer you have to ask for and I’m not quite sure what he stocks. You want a 12 pack, you may have to ask for it as he has a walk in cooler behind the counter that it’s kept in and will bring it out.
This is a store with character. You’ll notice the brick veneer front doesn’t match anymore, that’s because some woman attempted to make it a drive in liquor store, literally. There’s a calico cat that hangs around which is pest control no. 1.
While size limits availability of some products, he does have some of the best prices in town. And, if it’s a slow day, he may strike up a conversation on topics of the day.
Great location, easy to get in and get out on Gray Highway – only if you’re going in the direction out of town but that’s not a problem with where the location is. Often, that’s on your way or you can double back a half block up going right, take another right and come back to Gray Highway at the light to go either direction.
Worth a visit to check out his prices or ask about finding a wine or liquor that you’re having trouble finding. Not fancy but it makes up that in lower prices and service.
