Superb korean joint. Plenty of meat servings, they don’t skimp on it at all like some other places. Love the Korean tea, and the side dishes. Wish they had the white radish one though. Overall, great experience and for those that worry about language barriers, one of their waitresses is a native English speaker for sure. Friendly folks and excellent food =).

Hard to know how to rate this place because I didn’t care for it, but the people I was with LOVED it. Here are the highs and lows of our experience… First off, the atmosphere is very«rustic». It’s a converted bar, so if atmosphere/décor is important to you, then you will probably be a tad disappointed. I mean, it’s located in a strip mall between a gas station and a gun shop, so you kind of have to figure it’s not going to be super chic even before you step inside. Secondly, vegetarians beware! This place is definitely a carnivore’s delight and a vegetarians worse nightmare because meat is the focus of pretty much everything on the menu. Thirdly, the woman who appears to run the place is super friendly and very willing to help explain things, so that’s good for anyone unfamiliar with Korean food. This is particularly important since the menu doesn’t really give you a lot of insights into what each of the various offerings is composed of. Fourthly, food was definitely freshly prepared. Ours came our sizzling, just as you’d expect from a traditional Korean restaurant. Fifthly, it’s a bit pricey; however, they do give you all the traditional Korean appetizers, which are fun to nibble on; of these, their kimchee and shredded potatoes were particularly tasty. Lastly, I guess the food is good. While I didn’t enjoy my entrée, their rice was spectacular(weird I know since it’s just plain white rice) and, as I mentioned earlier, everyone else I was with raved about their dishes. In fact, my main dish got gobbled up by others If you like Korean food I would definitely recommend making the effort to go there because I got the sense that it’s pretty traditional. I would also recommend it to anyone who is interested in trying Korean because the staff are great about talking to guest about each of the very wide array of dishes they serve.

I ordered the Ox Tail Soup. I was presented with the side dishes you would normally get Kimchee, Murchi(anchovies), etc. The Stew was Delicious. I could tell that they must have boiled the bones for HOURS to get the right taste and look. The Kimchee was fantastic, it had the right level of crush, sweetness, and spiciness. Everything tasted like what my grandma makes when I visit her. The service was prompt and friendly, but I could tell their first language was not English. I think they should hire more English speakers, because the menu is mostly in Korean and the English description of the foods are not detailed. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the restaurant and it looks like I have another stop on my road trips.

Finally a Korean restaurant in Macon! We ordered the stews and the seafood pancake, and they were all delicious. The broth that they used for the stews were savory. Our meal came with all the little appetizers(like kimchi) that are typical of Korean cuisine. The waitress was very helpful in explaining all the different menu items that were unfamiliar to me. They have grills built into the tables for grilling Korean BBQ right at the table as well. The restaurant is located off the beaten track in the middle of nowhere in south Macon but it is a hidden gem if you are craving for authentic Korean food.

I’m not much for Asian food, but my boyfriend loves it so we decided to try it. I had low expections, but this place blew my mind, and is now my favorite Asian place. We tried the La Style Bbq Beef Rib, the steamed dumplings, miso soup, and something called red tongue-sul-yoke(no idea how to spell that). The ribs come with so much stuff!!! It comes with Kim-chee, anchovies, lettuce, bean paste, rice, and a bunch of other stuff. The ribs were phenomenal, and the marinade that they used was delicious, and was also my boyfriends favorite dish. The steamed dumplings and miso soup were good, but nothing special. The red tongue-sul yoke(or whatever it’s called) was the definetly best thing I ate. I never thought the blend of fried chicken, zuchinni, apples, onions, and sweet and sour sauce would go together, but it totally does. Also, their sweet and sour sauce it different than the run of the mill stuff. I don’t really know how to describe it, but it’s really good. This place is a great hole in the wall for Korean food, and we will definetly return.
