Dr. Brockman received his dental degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1992. He then completed a hospital residency in General Practice at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT in 1993, and further completed his periodontics residency and specialty certification at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Brockman also received a Master of Science degree in Dentistry at the UW in 1997, for which he had undertaken published research on the body’s immune responses to the bacteria that cause periodontal disease.
In addition to being a certified Periodontist, Dr. Brockman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, signifying «a Periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty», by passing stringent written and oral examinations.
Dr. Brockman has taught at University of Washington School of Dentistry, as well as at the Dental Hygiene Programs
