Through a multiplicity of varied valuable business experiences over the course of two decades, determination, constant pursuit of continuing education, uncompromising commitment, as well as a generous helping of talent and intuition, I help small businesses enjoy measurable growth, increase customer loyalty, and employ enhanced business practices.

History

Established in 2000.

Cy began her first successful business at the age of 14 as a talented and capable calligrapher. Having a natural sense for business inherited from her entrepreneurial parents and grandparents, she soon realized that she’d need to learn how to market her services online and in the community. Of course as a teenager, she had no capital to invest, so she applied her skills and intuition to find low-​to-​no-​cost means of advertising and promotion.

Her search led her to learn not only strategic graphic design, how to find local avenues of promotion, and creative networking, but also how to build and implement websites in such a way that they generate leads and income. Later the monetary potential associated with social media and professional marketing knowledge became evident, so she pursued education in those fields as well.

Business people she closely affiliated with soon began seeking her advice and then, her calling as an entrepreneur and small business advocate became clear.

Business Owner

Cy (pronounced as in «the ‘sigh’ of relief for your business,») is an entrepreneur descended from generations of entrepreneurs on both sides of her family. Having grown up in the offices of her parents’ & grandparents’ businesses, she has a more intimate understanding than most people of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. Cy furthermore realizes how vital they are to a thriving economy and vibrant community and through Gracious Rebel Consulting, she is able to support who she believes to be the most passionate, inspiring, interesting people in the world: entrepreneurs and small business persons.

She is mother to three children ages 7 – 11 and owns four cats, though she’d rather have dogs and goats. Formerly «Cy Borg,» a skater for Madison’s roller derby league, Mad Rollin’ Dolls, Cy loves to roller skate when she has the chance. She also enjoys singing karaōke, dancing, & indulging in a variety of creative endeavors as well as playing board, card, & video games family & friends.
