His Majesty’s Bed & Breakfast

One of the best night stays I have had, I spent 2 nights here and the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was yummy to say the least. A huge tea selection for those that enjoy them, and plenty of restaurant choices in the area for lunch and dinner. I can’t wait to have a reason to get back into the area so I can stay here again. I also can’t wait for Laura to make a cookbook so I can buy one.

This was our 3^rd time staying here. We love everything out this B&B: The location to wineries, the charming cozy atmosphere, very clean rooms, wonderful breakfast and the great conversations with Norm & Laura. All the things you worry about when finding a place to stay but no worries here. We recommend His Majesty to everyone and can’t wait to go back!

I highly recommend signing up for the winery tour. This experience sets His Majesty’s apart from other accommodations and smaller wine regions to which we’ve traveled. Laura and Norm drove us to 4 wineries thoughtfully selected from the wide variety of experiences (different size, selection, atmosphere) in Grand River. We were even offered a private tour by one owner and sat around a table listening to another’s tales of bygone bootlegging. We left with an understanding of the region’s rich history and plans for the future. Our tour also included a gift certificate for dinner at Heirloom Country Bistro — a southern-​style comfort food spot. All together, it’s an incredibly personal experience compared to the more common «sip-​em and ship-​em» tours, and Laura and Norm provide so much value for the price.
The inn, itself, is located just across the street from great casual dining options, but is peaceful and quiet. Our bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciate the extra vanity space in the bedroom (apart from and in addition to the full bathroom). Fun note — there is a shelf of games downstairs, and we enjoyed sipping wine and laughing over cards!

Having a great relaxing time away with my daughter! Laura and Norm have a lovely place and are such gracious hosts! Breakfast was delicious! Will be back!
