Booking Amy from Kuhl Entertainment was the absolute best decision we made during our wedding planning and preparation. She didn’t just provide great music and a fun atmosphere… She set up gorgeous uplighting, worked with our venue coordinator and photographer to make sure everything ran smoothly (and it did!!!), and created the perfect itinerary for the evening. Each and every guest came up to us at the end of the night just raving about how fabulous our DJ was. Many even said they have never attended such a fun reception! Between the classic hits and my favorite boy band tunes, there was something for everyone to get down to.
I can honestly say, the wedding reception would have not been nearly as successful without Amy and Kuhl Entertainment. You can tell she loves what she does by the incredible energy she gives off and how she interacts with the crowd. She will certainly be my go-​to for all future events. Amy — You are so talented, and I am so happy to have met you! Keep doin’ what you’re doin’.

Unfortunately B Kuhl did not live up to the expectation set or the promises made. I was sorely disappointed in the service provided. Every meeting leading up to our wedding seemed like things were really going to be spectatular, they seemed like a group of DJ’s who were current. I was under the impression that it wouldn’t be just another tacky DJ service playing all the same songs as every other wedding.
The DJ was underprepared, the trivia was a kind of a joke (our DJ was unable to have the answers we provided to the trivia questions (not because we didn’t turn them in, we did — it was a personal and unprofessional excuse) and kept asking us for the answers to each question — which really ruined the fun for us), and the music selection was okay at best. We had mentioned to ONLY play the cliché line dance music IF requested — pretty much every line dance song was played except the two we said absolutely no to. Our DJ gave my MOH a hard time when she requested a popular song — our DJ told my MOH, she didn’t have it and couldn’t get it even though we were promised if a song was requested, it could be downloaded right then and there because that’s what they do. The song was played but hearing that my MOH was treated with such an attitude at MY wedding, how rude — especially with the price we paid.
B Kuhl is significantly higher in price than any other DJ service we looked at. Hearing stories from other people I thought spending more money on my DJ would give us a better service — so wrong. I ended up with exactly the type of situation I thought I was paying extra to avoid. On top of the poor service/​selection of music we were requested at the end of the evening by our DJ to tip. Excuse me? Sorry I didn’t come prepared to my own wedding with a bundle of cash on top of the high price that was already paid for your service. I would have gladly send a thank you and something extra in the mail if my expections had been met or exceeded. You should NEVER ask for a tip, I worked in a service industry — tips are always optional and I would never have even dreamed of asking my clients to GIVE me more money.
I did follow up with the owner about a week after the wedding because the sour taste in my mouth from the experience never went away. They promise a 100% satisifaction guarantee or your money back, that’s a joke too. Rather than hearing back from Josh himself, our DJ called to «discuss» the situation. There isn’t anything to discuss, I got one wedding day — one wedding reception, there’s no re-​do and theres no talking me out of how I feel. I never returned the called and I don’t plan to. I sent my email directly to the owner for a reason, I would be willing to discuss it with him but I’m over our DJ. It’s been about a month since our wedding, three weeks since I sent our dissatisfaction — still haven’t heard from the owner. An apology and confirmation that he’ll discuss the matter with his employees would’ve been appreciated.
So please, really, really, really consider your DJ selection. I’d hate for any other bride or groom to feel the way we did at our reception due to an over priced mediocre DJ.

B Kuhl Entertainment was our wedding DJ. We did have Josh as our DJ and he did a great job. He knows the right questions to ask and he played great music all night. He was able to adjust his time line on the fly as different aspects of the night ran long. He had people dancing the entire night. We also had the photo booth and were able to get quite a few hilarious photos from that. If you need a DJ, call B Kuhl.

I’ve thought a lot about how to write this review. B Kuhl, as a business, is good. Unfortunately, we didn’t get Josh (the owner) as our DJ, & had Ted who was not up to snuff.
B Kuhl was my first DJ choice, but were out of my budget. So I went with choice number 2, then 8 weeks before my wedding I contacted Josh after the DJ I thought I had booked went AWOL. Josh gave us an AMAZING deal and let us know that while he had a prior booking on our date, he would be sending one of his other DJs. I was super relieved. From everything he said & reviews I’d read all over, I felt 100% confident. The week of the wedding, Josh met with my fiancé & I and we gave him certain info including our Must Play & No Play list. This was in addition to going over a contract again and verifying that we wanted NO line dances or theme dances (hokey pokey, macarena, or similar) played. I LOVED that Josh has this as a box to tick on the contract — though we also detailed this on the No Play list.
We arrived to the cocktail hour to see the DJ, Ted, still setting up in the main dancing area (even though he had presumably been there over an hour). This was weird, I thought, but moved on to cocktails and enjoyed that the right tunes were playing (I had asked for a certain mix of songs during cocktails and dinner). Before dinner, he apologized that the speakers in the dining area weren’t working right and we’d have to have the faintness of music from the dancing area. and then kept working — loudly — on the speakers: plugging, unplugging (pop pop pop) and «check check check“ing throughout dinner. These speakers were next to OUR PARENTS. Not cool!
Dancing time. We requested a lot of oldies type stuff to begin. He started 3 or 4 songs only to cold drop them partway. Confusing when you’re trying to dance & not fun. Later, 3 songs in.a.row. (of the cheesy line dance variety) from our No Play list. 1 was annoying. 2 was angering. The 3^rd started & I made a beeline to the DJ station and pointed this out firmly — Ted got defensive when I noted they were from the No Play list and said «no they’re not». The list was IN FRONT OF HIM. Even if he had felt that I was in the wrong, this is no way to respond to the person who is signing the check at the end of the night. Other things from our No Play list (such as: please no break up songs) were played. The intro bit to the bouquet toss was the song I asked not to be played. It just was a bit of a mess. A lot from our Must Play never got played as well. The volume was often loud (it varied) which upset Mom. All in all, we had a fun night. Lights were very good. But Ted didn’t pay attention to our contract OR our lists. :(It could’ve been great if he had.
Josh, as a business owner, is excellent to work with. And from what I’ve read online and also from people I’ve talked to, he’s a great DJ. It’s just too bad he sent someone who was not as detail-​oriented or customer-​focused as he himself is.

In May of 2009 we went to a wedding that Josh DJ’d and absolutely loved his voice, style and overall entertainment of the crowd. So when it came time for my own wedding in May of 2010, there was no doubt about it, I wanted him to DJ our wedding as well!
From the very beginning, Josh was professional and always prompt with answering any questions we had, and was always willing to meet any time that worked best for us. During the planning process, he was exceptionally helpful, and came up with countless ideas for a fun reception that would keep our guests entertained all through the night with not only the music we wanted, but games and more to keep everyone’s interest.
I got 100% positive feedback from my guests (and I asked tons of them) about B Kuhl Entertainment and Josh’s DJing; everyone loved him! I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ in the future.
