Our studio provides classes on the pottery wheel and in hand building. We offer workshops, private lessons, birthday parties and clay dates for children adults & scouts.

Madison Mud is adding to the growth of our rich arts community of the Madison, NJ and provide a neighborhood meeting place to exchange ideas and create a beautiful works of art. Our studio welcomes you to cross the potter’s wheel off your bucket list. Established in 2014.

Opened for all #clay addicts and potential #clayaddicts. Melanie, 14yr resident and business owner of Madison MJ, wanted to fulfill her dream of spreading Clay and pottery to everyone! So the result a great pottery studio. Madison Mud: A Clay Studio

We went on a Saturday night. It was a couples night and we had a great time. Mel was a great teacher and we made great pottery. She was very energetic and fun. I can’t wait to go back with my girl friends. We learned to make pinch pots and learned a quick lesson on the wheel. Made three pieces of pottery.

I went to a girls night out and didn’t know what to expect. I can barely draw a stick figure, so I knew it was going to be interesting. Mel was fantastic! She is not only incredibly knowledgable, but an absolute blast. She is seriously amazing. Go take a class or have a fun night out and enjoy.

I went to a ladies night here with some friends. I have always wanted to try pottery, so I was very excited to go! Everyone brought their wine, there was food and snacks and we started by learning how to make pinch pots. I never realized how fun and relaxing this could be! I couldn’t stop playing with the clay! And then we learned THE WHEEL! So cool, and more difficult than i thought. But so fun. The Host was the best! She was very funny, entertaining and a great teacher. I highly, highly recommend this place for a fabulous night out!
