We specialize in sales and rental of a variety of DJ and Audio equipment, as well as limited DJ equipment repair.

We also provide free Scratch DJ classes every Wednesday from 3:30PM to 7:30PM. Nothing but an interest in scratching required!

History

Established in 2002.

MC Audio started as an equipment section in the nearby record store State of Mind. As the equipment outgrew the half of a store it occupied, it was moved to its current location under the MC Audio name.

With the introduction of Digital DJ equipment and software, the demand for real vinyl music has decreased considerably. In this way, MC Audio has gradually reduced the amount of vinyl it orders and sells, and is currently working toward phasing out vinyl sales entirely.

The store now focuses on providing the best prices and good instruction on all of the latest computer-​based DJ software and controllers. Many of the latest toys for the digital DJ are setup and available to play on right in the shop, so stop in and try them out!

To keep the true vinyl spirit alive, MC Audio now offers free scratch DJ classes every Wednesday from 3:30PM to 7:30PM. There is no prerequisite for these classes, aside from an interest in scratching.

Mike has been a friendly face in all manner of clubs and bars around Madison for many many years. With over 25 years of DJ experience under his belt, who better to run a DJ shop?

He holds regular nights at several venues around Madison, and has frequent appearances alongside other local landmark DJs such as Nick Nice throughout the year.
