Description

Specialties

Rembrandt’s Gallery & Wine Bar is a unique destination featuring artisan wines, beautiful handmade wooden tables, and fine arts and crafts. We also offer wood-fired handmade pizzas and other delicious fare.

History

Established in 2003.

We began our journey as Madison Table Works, creating handmade custom tables. When our tables evolved into functional artwork, we created a gallery around them featuring other artists and artisans from Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. From the day that he bought the building, Bob Maile always thought that the building should house a restaurant or bar, and finally, in 2014, the dream was realized when we opened Rembrandt’s Gallery and Wine Bar. Keeping with the artisan concept, the new bar features artisan wines from around the world (and, of course, we still offer our handmade tables and local fine art and crafts).

Meet the Business Owner

Robert M.

Business Owner

Robert Maile, Jr. originally came to Madison from Cincinnati to restore historical properties. When he obtained the former Richert Wagon & Carriage Factory building, he saw an opportunity to create something more. He started Madison Table Works, combining his love of fine arts and woodworking by creating beautiful custom tables. He always thought that the building itself would be perfect to house a restaurant, and after a few years of contemplation, decided to open Rembrandt’s Gallery & Wine Bar as a blend of art, wine, and fine craftsmanship.
