Specialties

We are a small family campground nestled in a forest setting near the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. We offer full hook-​up sites for RVs, cabins, and water and electric sites for tenters. We have a playground, pool, catch & release fishing pond, jumping pillow, game room and a large storage area. We also have a recreation building that we rent out for parties, wedding receptions, group reservations, etc. We specialize in selling Bison Meat at the store. Several cuts and variety. Healthy and Delicious! We’re open year round and offer extended stay sites too.

History

Established in 1999.

We bought the campground in 1999 and have been continuously upgrading and improving ever since. We added a deluxe cabin, built the pond, and have upgraded all the electric in the whole campground. It all takes time and we still have projects underway today! We moved to VA from New England and fell in love with the state. It’s beautiful and has a lot of offer! Come see for yourself!

This has got to be the worst Campground we’ve stayed at. The owner was not friendly at all. We were perspective buyers as this Campground is currently for sale. Within 15 minutes after we arrived the owner came by — not to be friendly and introduce herself — but to tell us we were free to walk around but do not talk to anyone. Our dog was barking at her so she told the dog to find her inside voice. Not event a hint of a smile. Our site was full of leaves. We had to give a $ 10 deposit for a gate key that was suppose to be refundable — we left at 9:30 in morning and the office was closed. So we slid the gate key under the door and lost the $ 10 deposit. The office hours included on long list of rules every camper receives at check in says the office opens at 9:00 a.m. The list of rules is ridiculous. They even dictate the color hose that is allowed. The Campground needs some serious cleaning up. There are several permanent campers that are a real eyesore. Roads are bit rough and could use some repair. Overall I would stay away.

Nothing fancy but super convenient on Rte 29 for an overnight. Tent camped for one night and had mostly everything we needed — only inconveniences were that the power source was intermittent and there was no place to grill on your site. They wanted us to rent a grate to put over the fire pit.
Seemed quiet and bathrooms were clean. Pool and things to entertain the family!

I’d rather park my RV at Walmart and stay at a motel than stay in this place. People are horrible, sites small, and way too expensive, no wonder they aren’t a KOA anymore.
