This place is definitely not $ it’s more like $$$ 2 adults and 2 small children=$ 75 We don’t mind paying extra for food but since it was takeout we could have went to whataburger for a fraction of the price. The manager was really nice though! The teen behind the register needed to smile more and leave her issues at the door. The burgers were really good! Just not $ 76 worth…

I tried this place for the first time yesterday… Absolutely excellent hamburgers! They are the best«fast food”/café type restaurant for hamburgers I’ve found yet. The fries are pretty good too! Expect to pay a bit more for your meal but it is certainly worth every penny. It’s the most like a homemade burger of any place, as well. I would highly recommend Jax and I’ll be back in short order ;).

Amazing garlic fries! Burgers are fabulous too! Shakes are actual ice cream and milk shakes not some glob from a machine. Nice relaxed atmosphere and great service.

Best food ever, because of work hours, we always do call in orders, however even with our call in orders, we can verify that the food is delicious and the homemade shakes made with blue bell ice cream, is off the chain. Burgers and sandwhiches are always so big that I order a kids meal, fries in kids meal is enough for two people to share. The only downfall, Is you can’t exchange or upgrade your kids drink to a shake, other than that, parking is ok and location is in and on a popular road and community. Food is Priced as expected, for such great service and tasty products… its a fair exchange!

Counter service, covered patio. Drinks are unlimited and self service. Excellent hamburgers, fries and jalapeño ketchup. Kid-sized burger meal is enough for most adults.

Good food, good prices… What more could you ask for. JAX is ultimately a good fast food place. If you haven’t been there, I wish that you would go there. Now let’s look at the pros/cons Pros Good food OK prices Good service Relaxing music Cons Not the best fries Prices are a little high(Still under 10 $ a person) Overall, if you haven’t tried JAX you should go do that.

This is the burger place you’ve been looking for! The burgers are class, all American, ground beef, mouth watering delicious patties. The fries are deliciously crispy and fresh cut, with options of putting flavors on them like«garlic» or «Cajun». Budget in 10 – 15 extra minutes, because everything is made to order, so your food takes a few minutes to come out, totally worth it! My husband, brother, and I all came to the conclusion that this is the current best burger joint in the Houston area.

We just moved to the area from Spring. We used to go to the two JAX locations on 2920. First let me say burgers are so personally. Either you like them juicy and messy as an example or you like them another way. Buns are a whole other subject. My husband and I really liked our previous JAX experiences. Consistent food, rarely waited long and somewhat interested teenage workers(hey you get what you pay for). We liked the burger a lot. Personally I don’t get this whole close at 8 pm decision. I don’t know how many times we want to go there but it’s 8:05. But nope. At least stay open till 9! And of course no Sunday hours(I can live with that). We too were not impressed by our Magnolia JAX experience. It was not clean like the other stores. It didn’t have at least semi interested teens holding down the fort. And the food that visit was just not up to JAX standards. So to me that equals= leadership issue. Who’s training them, who’s inspiring them, who’s doing quality control on the food and cleanliness. Who’s staffing them appropriately so food is timely and there aren’t long waits. In this instance the buck stops at the franchise owner and if they aren’t up to it they higher a darn good manager. It’s not just enough to show up with a smile and give a dog a fry every time that customer comes through. Sure that is nice but the business is going to suffer or not survive if the other things are ignored. This area is booming. You could have a gold mine of people coming through your doors if you can get to the way the top stores are run. We are rooting for you. It makes me sad to see no one in your parking lot and the competition across the street full. Plus if we come in one more time and don’t get the JAX Burger we know and love– it’s goodbye for us. We will seek other eating adventures. JAX corporate-hope you are reading this. Perhaps some help from you all could help them. They are diluting your brand.

Okay, I lied, I’ve gone back… several times. The burgers are really good and the staff has turned over so I’m moving them back up to 4 stars.

Always like trying new places so I stopped at JAX Burgers. Place is nice and clean, counter help is pleasant. The burger was good beef but not worth the glorified price.

Wow, only one review? I love grabbing Jax’s for lunch, just a simple cheese burger & fries. Nice folks running the place when I’ve been there.

I went here with my dad and my brother a few months ago. The service wasn’t all that great and the food was very mediocre. Haven’t been back since, and not planning to go back any time soon.

Why anyone goes here is a mystery! There is literally nothing special about this joint. Maybe if the line is to long at the five guys across the street you’d go here… But otherwise stay away! Not only are the burgers overdone but the fries are limp and icky! Go some place else!

I eat here a lot and have never had them mess up my food. They did give me the wrong food one time, but they made it right. They are very good people and the burgers are great. The chocolate shakes, Cajun fries and sweet potato fries are also good. I enjoy their food much more than Five Guys or Freddy’s which are both nearby.

When they listen and burgers are made the way you request the burgers are great. Fries suck, onion rings ok. Orders have been messed up 3 times. The only reason they got that many chances is because they are so close to the house and the first time we ate there the burgers were really good. Another good thing is they have pick up window, but make you wait a long time. Go to McDonald the food sucks but quick and cheap unlike here where pricy and will get messed up almost every time. People do not understand that every burger does not need mustard.

Love their burgers. Love the sweet potato fries. Some of the best I have ever had. The menu is small but they are good at what they do best burgers. I have never tried their shakes but I have heard they are great. I would say this is the best burger in our area.

I really love this place, they have great hamburgers. Truly the best I have had, juicy, moist… spot on. Our family doesn’t even make our own hamburgers any more BUT and here is the big BUT the service has gone wayyyyyyyyy down hill. When they first opened the owner was so nice, kept everything clean and was very friendly. Now all I encounter are rude teenagers. They act put off to take your order, especially on the phone. I hope that they can train the younger ones on a little bit of manners and kindness after all, these rude teenagers are the face of the restaurant and eventually people will get tired of dealing with the staff even if it is a damn good burger. So recap. Boo on the rude unprofessional youngsters But if you can stand the attitude get ready for a great burger.

Upon the recommendations of some good friends I tried this place even though I was more than satisfied across the street at 5 Guys Burger… However, I’m glad I did. The burger was great! It was enormous and delicious! The Garlic fries were a disappointment thought. They had a good flavor by themselves, but the slapped on minced garlic was almost like a joke. It is pricey for budget, but good if you can afford it. As for the slow service complaints and long wait times in the drive thru, my wait was no longer than Whataburger and the patty was at least 3 times the size, what do you expect.

Have had one of the best burgers of my life here with the bleu cheese but I have also had a couple of bad ones. Weekday burgers have always been better than any burger I have had on the weekend.

They have decent burgers here. The service isn’t good though. I called ahead because its always a wait. The girl on the phone took my order and asked my name, then told me it would be about 10 – 15 mins. I arrived in about 12. They have a drive up window and that’s where I tried to pick up my order. They lost my order and wanted me to wait another 20 mins. She asked if I had anywhere else to go? I explained that yes I did have other places to go, I went to those places after I called in my order and before I arrived. So I paid and waited. Then I had to go back because they forgot something in my bag. Figures. In conclusion, good if you can wait and are hungry. If you can’t wait you will be more satisfied trying somewhere else.

It’s OK but based on the reviews of this and other Jax locations I expected more. I tried the hamburger and the hot dog. The hot dog was cold in the middle(discovered after bite one) and when I told the gal at the counter she was very polite. But… all they did was reheat the dog with a bite out of it and bring it back to the table. huh? The burger had little to no seasoning and the jalapeño ketchup I was excited to try fell short. The best part about the burger was that they serve it upside down in the basket. Unique. My wife and her teacher buddies raved about this place. They don’t get out much I guess. I will probably try it again with mama after a Home Depot run this Spring because she loves it but I will not go quietly.
