Gilato ice cream is the bomb. Park in front to enjoy it. Friendly ownership and I think they are locals. Excellent for short family trips. Everything from what I understand is freshly made.

Stopped going. For the price, the servings are too small. This happened numerous times. For the same price, I get much larger sizes at DQ down the street
We aren’t looking for huge portions, but reasonable sizes.
Don’t get me wrong, Rita’s is good stuff, but there gets a point when you feel you are being taken advantage of that you have to do something about it.

Rita’s is amazing
If you’re going to Ritas to get italian ice, get custard on top. If you always get the italian ice and you’re skeptical about getting their custard, get the custard on top. If you’re not a big fan of Rita’s and you’ve never had the custard, then go back and get the custard immediately. This stuff is addicting it’s so good. Just thinking about it makes me want to drive there and get some. It’s worth every penny.
The service at this place is always excellent and friendly as expected at an ice cream shop of this sort. Convenient location right by the mahwah train station.
I’ve only been to a couple of different Rita’s locations but in my experience this one is always great. Stop here for dessert if you know what’s good for you.

Vanilla ices + chocolate custard = happiness. the service was excellent and the store was clean. I have tried a few other flavours (the watermelon ices are my favourite), but the mix of the vanilla ice (which has no cream) and the creamy chocolate custard was heaven. No doubt I will be back really soon to have the pumpkin pie ices with vanilla custard.

Rita’s is the most overpriced ice in the world!
But, what’s better to eat than Rita’s ice on a hot summer day?
I took a short drive down to Rita’s with a colleague in this 90 degree heat with 50% humidity. I got my favorite birthday cake cream ice.
And guess what, it’s tuesday! That means double stamp day!
I got 2 stamps on my cool card while I lick up this delicious ice.
I’m happy.
P. S. Again, this establishment is in Mahwah. Unilocal lacks the knowledge of the town called Mahwah, so it defaults to Bergen.
