Wtks Real Radio 1041 Fm

While I was a bigger fan and more regular listener in the Daniel and drunky days. I still listen occasionally during the week for Jimmy SBK and Angel and follow them on twitter. I wish the I heart radio app worked better on my phone so I could listen more. It’s forever buffering unless I’m at my home wifi. The show remains good and I recommend it to anyone liking comedy.

I’ve been listening to the station over the past 3 years and have enjoyed it locally and in Ohio via I heart radio app.
They have upgraded their lineup with the news junkie and ditching the BS. I only wish oddo and Daniel were back on the air. The various programs should do more location programs to let the community see them. Another thing they should do is when vacations occur is has the other programs invade their time slot.

I’ve been listening to these guys for the last 10 years ever since moving here for school. The other reviews do a good job of breaking down the shows.
To be honest, the shows are nowhere near as good as they were 10 years ago. Back when the Monsters were on at midday, they did lots of great songs and the personalities meshed well. Now it seems like they kind of plateaued. Drunky was a good addition, but most of his comedic value comes from laughing more at his stupidity than his jokes.
You’ll probably enjoy these stations more if you’re extremely liberal as they tend to insult republicans, religions, and pretty much anyone that disagrees with them in any way.
Jim Philips has some good commentary, again, extremely liberal and has a «I know more than you» approach to topics, some of which he has no clue about.
Buckethead was a great addition and I think they are way too good to be on Real Radio. He is by far the stand out show of the lineup and deserves a much bigger market than central florida.
Listen to the shows once and you’ll pretty much get a feel for what they do as each show is pretty much exactly the same everyday.

I’m a regular listener of this radio station. I enjoy their original content. All of the shows on the station are decent.
Although I’m upset that they cut their original content on the weekends and placed classic rock. Now I only listen on the weekdays.
Here is the run down.
Monsters in the Morning
I enjoy this program when they talk about things I relate to but when they get into wrestling, the predators, or stupid stunts I tend not to pay much attention.
Daniel is my favorite monster I enjoy his antics and Dirty Jim’s rants. I like it when they disagree. Drunky’s one minute of comedy has a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ success rate with me, he either bombs or gets a laugh out me.
The BS
I’m glad they brought back Oddo, he’s really meshes with this show. I’ve grown tired of News under the influence and enjoy when they talk about things more than the games they play. I don’t get to listen to them much except on lunch breaks but they can all be pretty funny.
The Phillips Phile
Probably my favorite program on the station. Jim rants are great, Janna makes me laugh, Mo and Jack are also wonderful.
I think my favorite game they play is who’s the smarty, as I’m not as good with closet to the pin.
I like some of the political rants and commentary on the show but also enjoy the regular talk. I end up learning a lot from the show. It’s great entertainment for the long traffic jammed drive home.
The SBK Show
I do miss Drew Garabo who used to fill this time slot but there is something to be said about The SBK show.
Kevin is hilarious, Cabin and Angel are awesome as well. I like how clued into the local music scene they are and when they have local guest. Such as the Supervillians or Tom the Beer guy.
I don’t always get a chance to listen but when I do I enjoy the show.
They should bring back more original content on the weekends. If I wanted to listen to classic rock I’d put it on my ipod.

During the week, it’s a decent talk radio station. On the weekend it’s a refreshing blend of 80s and recent independant rock.
