History

Established in 2014.

Michelle, Mark, Julie and David are the team serving up locally brewed Hawaiian Kombucha on Maui. Michelle’s culinary school experience and signature recipes, Mark’s PhD in microbiology, Julie’s flavor enhancing mixology and David’s business and operational background came together in January 2014.

Business Owner

Michelle is a long time culinary «foodie» with over fifteen years experience brewing Kombucha. She is the co-​owner of Maui Raw and XX Fortune Cookies.

Julie owned and operated a child day care center for over fifteen years in Orange County California becoming a financial services stock analyst and broker. She co-​founded Maui Smashers a fruit based beverage company in 2013 before making the transition to Big Wave Organics a year later.
