Piiholo Ranch Zipline offers side-​by-​side zip tours, treetop zip tours, hiking tours, and a Zip & Waterfall Hike Combo tour.

The Side-​by-​Side Zip Course features guided tours that zip high over trees and deep ravines with spectacular views from Upcountry Maui and the famous Piiholo Hill. The premier 5 Line Zip Tour is a wild ride that finishes with the longest side-​by-​side zipline in Maui — over half a mile long!

A different kind of guided zipline adventure awaits on the Treetop Zipline Course! Soar high above the Kahakapao Valley from tree to tree, experience flying sensations swooping down into the valley on platforms high in the eucalyptus rain forest, sail through canopy tunnels, and explore the Pirate Ship Tree House.

One of Maui’s newest adventures is brought to you by the Baldwin Brothers from Piiholo Ranch near Makawao, Maui, Hawaii. The Baldwin Family represents seven generations of cattle ranching and caring for Maui’s precious natural resources.

Business Owner

Jeff Baldwin is one of three brothers who own the Piiholo Ranch Zipline. As Director of Operations, he oversees the day-​to-​day activities involved in operating Maui’s premier zipline. Find Jeff out and about on the course and have him tell you about the native plants and ecosystems of the Ranch. Born and raised on Maui, his stories will keep you entertained for hours.

My wife and I had the best day on our zip line adventure! Not only did we feel safe and secure the equipment is well maintained, the staff is friendly and thorough and do their diligence in making sure we get the best zip line experience! Connor, Lana and Marc were all awesome and made us feel right at home! We will be back for sure for this one!!!

This was a life changing experience. I was very scared and our 2 guys were so supportive and helpful! After the first jump I was still uneasy about the whole thing but man finally by the last zip line I was relaxed and it was amazing! The people were fun and the view was unbelievable!

What a great time on our trip! Enjoyed the adventure and it wouldn’t have been the same without Alatasi and «Jax». They had us laughing the whole time, I’m sure they weren’t ready for our group that morning we made it a time they’ll never forget! they had joke after joke and made us feel very safe. The safety guidelines they have in place are very comforting — cant wait to plan my next visit!

From the gal in the office to the two guys leading our tour through the trees via zipline, they were all professional and safety oriented… and really made the experience FUN! These folks are the embodiment of what I imagine locals to be like. Great time! Highlight of the trip! Did the 5 zip line and the last was incredible. Marc, Billy, & Travis were great guides! Funny and easy going. They put all your fears to rest. Professional, safe, and clean environment. These guys take safety seriously. Definitely will be back!

Definitely a major highlight of our trip! We encountered sun and rain, but that didn’t take away from the experience at all. Our main guide was Travis who was awesome. Tyler also helped, along with a girl (can’t remember her name, sorry!). We did the 5 zip-​line tour and LOVED IT! Long and fast zips with absolutely wonderful scenery. Snacks and drinks are provided after the 3rd zip. I have an older aunt who has some health issues and quite honestly, we were very skeptical that she would be able to complete this course as it has stairs and inclines to climb. Well, she did it all! The staff was beyond helpful and patient, so thank you for making this family experience one that we will never forget.
DO: Bring crappy shoes to wear because the soil is like a red clay and because we encountered rain, it ruined my shoes. Wear layers because the weather changes to frequently. They do provide wind breakers for the rain if you don’t have one.

Have yet to even step foot on the property and I am so disappointed with the customer service. The mobile website is so basic an unusable, that you must call to get any questions answered. And when you call, it took about 24 hours to get thru to them. I decided to book to tour to secure my place and finally spoke to the women on the phone. She answered my questions in a rudely manner and laughed at me for booking with out have asked my questions. This was a waste of 200 $ and I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody. So inconsiderate and disrespectful on the phone. Terrible customer service.

We had a GREAT time with the Piiholo Ranch Zipline tour. Our group did the 5 line option and it was perfect! Our guides, Lana, Gavin and Cinthia were top notch and they provided us with a really great experience. My 9 year old couldn’t break through his fear, so he walked along and took photos. Next time we’re here, he’ll try again! I mean, it really can be scary for those of us who have a fear of heights (3 out of the 4 adults in our party had sweaty palms!). But once you get past the anxiety of actually going on the first run and fly across the sky like that — SO MUCH FUN!
Only bummer was that the email confirmation I received didn’t call out that we needed to be there 45 mins ahead of our scheduled tour. We made it for the tour time, but we really felt badly about making the other couple and the staff wait for us.
Great customer service, as I was refunded the full cost for our son, and was just charged the «walking tour» fee instead. That was unexpected and truly a classy move — thanks folks!

Did the 7 line course. Was mostly in trees through the forest/​jungle. Due to the forest run, there were rarely any good views. Their operational safety awareness and protocols were AMAZING. (my wife works in safety, so I grasp all that stuff, and was suitably impressed)
They run rain or shine, unfortunately we had rain. Not their fault, but running rain or shine is not the best practice IMO. Six of seven of the treetop runs were short, a bit disappointing in fact. The first 3 had a braking system at the end that worked very well. Runs 4 – 6 didn’t have brakes per se other than the guides. The last run had the good brakes too, important esp b/​c it was 900+ feet long and got some good speed going.
The guides were very friendly and funny. Sometimes spoke too fast from doing it too often and thinking you heard them.
+++Their safety habits & protocols were great, no matter where you were, you were linked in for fall protection. Considering you’re 60 feet in the air sometimes, that kinda matters.
As a zipline company, I would highly recommend them. However, I would stay away from the 7-​line treetop run if you want any sort of view of the island or scenic overlooks.

A MUST DO !! We took the 7 line Tree Top Canopy Adventure.
Our guides were Justin & John (his Hawaiian name LOL). They were GREAT. ! Justin was SUPER safety conscience. He’s very methodical on hooking you up to the line every time. John was on the other side to make sure you landed safely. You have absolutely NOTHING to fear. These guys are like a well oiled machine. They encourage you to let loose and have fun !! You can do anything that they can’t handle.
YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST !! John is a native and shares his wealth of Hawaiian culture with you along the way. (you’ll Love his stories) These guys made this a lasting memory — Thank You !!

My wife did the canopy zipline today and absolutely enjoyed every minute. The employees were very safety-​conscious, but made sure everyone had a great time. The course is huge — it was over 2 hours for the group to make the whole circuit. The only complaint I heard was that they wished some of the runs were as long as the last «grand finale» run.

Ikaika, Tony and Joey were awesome! They were very professional with their procedures but still made it fun. They took extra good care of my 8 y. o son and 11 y.o. daughter and kept them at ease throughout the tour. If that’s not enough the terrain and trees are beautiful to zip through. They’re the best, if you’re trying to figure out which one to choose this crew is my recommendation!

My husband and I went zip lining on our honeymoon. This was our first experience with zip lining. We were not disappointed! This was a memorable experience. The staff were very knowledgable and made sure everyone was safe.
We were originally booked for a canopy tour but it was closed on the day we visited. We were upgraded to a longer zip experience for the same cost. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience.

Came to Maui for the day to celebrate my son’s 21st bday! We had to go do something epic so my husband found this zipline tour at Piiholo Ranch! From beginning to end this was indeed an epic adventure! Awesome guides who make you feel completely safe! They start you off small and then we work our way up to longer runs. The harness is set up to make you feel as though you are sitting in a swing really nice. (No wedgie action!)
The view before the last run is beautiful! Bring your camera (you can store it in a pouch in the harness)
Rain forest was beautiful even saw some pigs in the gulch. My son mounted a go pro on his leg but they do have mounts for a helmets too. It does get cold and we got a little wet from the rain forest blessings. But it was very comfortable. Thanks Travis, Shasten, Tyler and Doug were excellent! thanks guys for a great time my son said it was the best birthday ever!

My husband and I have never done zip-​lining, and we were recommended by this place from our concierge at our resort. I have a fear of heights and after today I have to say I overcame that fear! Our instructors, Lionel, Ikaika, Brian, and Kalani were great!!! We did the 5 line zip-​line. The view and rush was amazing!!! From what I hear, this is the best company to go to for Zip-​lining here in Maui. Had a blast and I cannot wait to come back again! Thank you!!!

We had a fantastic time on our 5 line Zipline Adventure here. it was our very first time zipping so we didn’t know what to expect. We’d just heard from friends and family (who did it elsewhere) to go try it out.
At frist we were nervous, walking across the bridge to start the course. But the staff is awesome. They put to rest any fears and made us feel completely safe, helping us relax. They were friendly, shared lots of fun facts about the ranch and the island. So you knew a little history about the scenery.
On the ride over to the 5th line, the guide stopped and picked some guava for us from the tree. it was delicious.
I recommend wearing short sleeves and long shorts as the harness makes your shorts hike up. Ladies you might feel a bit exposed with shorter shorts on. They go rain or shine, fortunately we had a beautiful day. I know they have rain gear. Follow all their guidelines for what they tell you to wear and you’d be comfortable during the experience.
I wore a GoPro camera with a chest mount which worked pretty good. If I did it again, I’d to the wrist mount which I didn’t have at the time. THere’s so many great views to the left and right it’s hard to turn the camera when strapped to your chest. Our mount it to your helmet if you trust the suction will hold.
If you’re visiting Maui or live here, I’d put this on my list as things to do. It’s a cool way to see the island and a nice variation from the beach.

I work in family entertainment. Going on vacation to do an intense activity that requires a lot of briefing and education to safely participate is very much in my wheel house. It feels like I am back at work.
The crew at Piiholo ranch is amazing. I wish that I could have them at my staff. Their job is hard and very stressful. They could kill someone if they mess up. These guys are serious, but so much fun.
Yes I had fun zip lining. It was nothing I have ever done before. It was scenic and beautiful. A day I will remember with my sister for the rest of our lives. But as cool as the zip lining was, KiKi and Dez were just as cool. I really appreciated the job they did. They make this a 5.
