History

Established in 2006.

Jennifer Lynn studied yoga with Anusara’s John Friend, Martial Artist Duncan Wong, and Shiva Rae. Wisdom Flow Yoga was established as a style that combines the therapeutic alignment principles of Anusara (Iyengar) with functional core strength and the flowing dance-​like transitions of Shiva Rae’s vinyasa. The Hotel Wailea offered the perfect space for a Wisdom Flow Yoga studio with its 1200 square-​foot vaulted ceiling room overlooking Maui’s south shore. Wisdom Flow Yoga conducts teacher trainings on Maui in June and October and in Bali in April. Check our website for other retreats and workshops around the world.

Business Owner

Jennifer Lynn has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for 10. Her experience is that yoga is a never-​ending awakening of deeper and deeper levels of personal potential in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual realms. While attending a yoga retreat on Maui in 1997, Jennifer had a Shaktipat (spiritual awakening) that propelled her out of the corporate world and into the life of her dreams. She has been teaching yoga ever since. Her desire is that through her teaching others recognize their power and potential and realize that it is when we are living our greatest joy that we are giving our greatest gift. She has studied with John Friend, senior Anusara teachers Desiree Rumbaugh, Ulla Lundgren and Sundari Lacy. She also studied Max Strom and Shiva Rea and Duncan Wong. Her classes incorporate spinal wave-​like movements and intentional transitions with the universal principles of alignment from Anusara Yoga.

Jennifer’s classes are suitable for everyone. I am a beginner but I feel very comfortable and welcome in her beautiful studio. I am lucky to learn from the best in my introduction to yoga. She is very warm, patient, generous and humble. I am inspired by her skills, talent, knowledge and kindness.

Jennifer is by far the best teacher I’ve learned from. After taking classes with the best of the best in Boston, NYC and some of my other stomping grounds, I feel ridiculously blessed that the best in the world is right here in my neighborhood! Check out a class while visiting or get into a regular Maui routine. The studio is beautiful and you’ll leave with physical, mental and spiritual alignment. The pono way. :)

Before finding Jennifer Lynn and Wisdom Flow Yoga I had tried out many styles of yoga ranging from Ashtanga, to Bikram, to Iyengar and beyond. While I believe all styles of yoga are beneficial, there is something very unique and special about Wisdom Flow Yoga. I have been attending Jennifer Lynn’s yoga classes for quite some time now, and just completed her 200 hr teacher training. I consider her to be a yoga scientist, carefully working with medical professionals and other yoga teachers from many backgrounds to create a style of yoga that is inspiring, fun, and safe /​sustainable for all people due to her focus on sacred geometry and optimal alignment. I highly recommend wisdom flow yoga for anyone at any level looking to try out a class, attend a retreat, or even complete a teacher training!
