So happy to find the best place for my hair cut. Estephan is a very professional barber. Will go there again when I come in this area.

I live in Malden and am new to this locality. E&C Barber Shop is the nearest place to get a haircut. Estephan like to chat with the customer which is nice but this is no replacement for a good haircut. I would much like to have a barber who does his talking by showing his skills on your hair not just the talk. On my two visits he was talking too much and most of the time complaining how tired he is … Both the times I got the WORST haircuts of my life. To be honest all I wanted was shorter well trimmed hair and gave clear instructions. Probably for Estephan short hairs mean that your skull should be visible and that’s what I got both the times. It is so very embarrassing! Never going there again and won’t recommend anyone to go there.

A great visit. Estephan loves to get to know you a bit better, while also giving you a great hair cut. You can tell this guy has had lots of practice – he’ll work with you getting what you want, while also making you feel valued and making nice conversation. He gets rid of those annoying little hairs that are stick in the skin folds in the neck amazingly, and his shop is clean and nice. I’ll definitely be back, and I encourage everybody to go see this master barber, who has certainly earned his title.

Friendly and fast. Good haircut. Good price. Not much more to ask for in a barber.

Estephan is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He does a great job and cuts your hair the way you like it. He has a nice clean shop and you won’t find a better place to go get handsome! Good work Estephan! Keep it up!

I went to his barber shop once, and that’s really as many times as I need to go. Although we did have a very pleasant conversation and my hair looked initially fine, as it started to grow the situation got worse. I’m only giving this place two stars because of Estephan. He’s a really nice guy. Unfortunately, his hair cutting skills need improvement.

Estefan knows how to cut hair. The guy has so much experience and is very intelligent. No one I know has a method of getting bits of hair away from my necky area better than him. At the end, he will make sure you do not have annoying bits of hair stuck in the crevices of your skin or if you’re like me, in rolls of neck fat. His secret method will not be shared here, you will have to go and experience it yourself. He is the man. I will be back.

Best place to have a hair cut around Malden… salon is very spacious, no appointment needed, open till 8PM So we can get hair cut on a weekday too. Stephen is very friendly and professional in his service, he will patiently listen to your need and cut your hair according to your requirement. He has a magic to make our hair look better. I have been getting my hair cut for the last 2 years. Definitely recommended. He does hair cut for kids too.

My regular barber was on vacation until mid next week, and I desperately needed a haircut, as my hair was starting to grow over my ears and my shirt collar. I did a search on Unilocal for barbers in my area and sorted them by rating. After reading a few reviews and information about the business, I opted to go to E&C for my haircut and beard trim. Estephan was a really nice guy. He took several opportunities to get to know me and crack a couple jokes to keep the mood light. I’d like to go back to E&C just for the interaction with Estephan. Unfortunately, when I go to a barber shop, it’s to get a haircut. I’m not sure if I wasn’t clear about what I wanted, or if it was just because I caught him ten minutes before he was closing, but I am not happy with the way my haircut turned out. There are clumps of hair longer than the rest of the surrounding hair, and there are areas where it seems like the hair was cut shorter than the surrounding hair. I also think the neck line on my beard is a little uneven, and I may end up having to just shave it all off and start over again. The real kicker is that I asked him to just trim around the edges to clean up the hair around my ears and back of my head, around the neck area. I also asked him to keep my facial hair the same length it was, and to just shape it so it looked neater(I had no defined neck line yet). He made my beard hair really short to the point of being little more than an exaggerated stubble. It was too late to say anything once he already started; it should have been a dead giveaway when I told him I wanted the length of the hair on the side of my head, around my ears, etc. to be the same as the current length of my beard hair, and he said, «No, we’ll clean that up. Make it look nice.» After cutting my hair, he made me style it. I’ve never had to style my own hair after getting it cut in a professional setting. I left the barber shop with sticky hands and wondering what had just gone wrong. I didn’t fully realize how bad of a haircut it was until after I showered, with all of the product out of my hair. I now have no choice but to put a strong-hold gel in my hair if I don’t want to look like I cut it myself without a mirror. I really wish my overall experience would have been better. I really liked Estephan. Enough to give him a good tip. This would be a two-star rating if it weren’t for the fact that Estephan was such a nice guy and that it seemed like he genuinely knew what he was doing. Usually, when I have a bad experience, I say«better luck next time», but after dealing with my hair this morning, I don’t think there will be one.

Best barber I’ve ever been to. Estephan owns this place and is the only employee. He’s incredible. He’s not one of those flamboyant hair stylists, but rather a regular family guy. Don’t be put off by his thick Lebanese accent; he has full command of the English language. He’s super-friendly. Considering I only see him once every couple of months, it’s amazing how much he remembers about me each time I go. I had him do my wedding haircut. I went a week ahead of time, and after he cut me(regular price), he told me to come back the day before the wedding for a touch up, free of charge. I looked great in the pictures. Very reasonable prices too. If I’m not mistaken, I think it’s still $ 14 for a cut, and $ 3 for a wash, followed by as much free product in your hair as you care for. You leave looking great. I didn’t upload the picture that’s available for this business, but it’s a great one. You can even see Estephan through the window. Pleasant Street parking and traffic can be kind of a pain, so I generally park at the Stop&Shop nearby and then walk here.
