They nailed the crab Rangoon. Pretty much all you need to do in order to run a successful Chinese food restaurant.

Love the spicy salt pan fried chicken, to die for! Very kind and pleasant staff. New to area and really wanted to find good Chinese, found it! Tried other dishes too and was equally good, but I keep going back to the chicken! Enjoy!

Consistently delicious food and very fast service. The prices are good too. I usually take out I’ve only eaten inside once but that was many years ago. I think most patrons take out.

A family favorite for many years. It’s delicious, traditional Chinese take out. Living in California now it’s become a challenge to find really good take out. This place is always number one when I come back to visit the Boston area.

I have ordered from here for years. Grew up in Melrose and we used to order from Panda Castle for New Years as well as several times throughout the year. When I moved to Malden I was within a short walk from it and was very happy. The food has always been good and you always got a good amount for your money. We have always been happy with them until recently. A few times now we have stopped in, already knowing and looking forward to what we were going to order only to be more or less yelled at that they were doing take out only because they were closing in an hour(once, and almost two another time). Then this last Saturday we stopped in at about 2:30 in the after noon really looking forward to being able to just sit, relax and eat some great food. .. .. until we were told in a forceful voice«you make it take out okay? Take out only». We were like really, it’s not even 3:00pm? Again we were told«No, you make it take out okay?». We told him we would eat somewhere else that would treat us nice and we would not be back. They have plenty of seating and it’s even clearly marked on the front window. They should just take down the«Eat In» part of their sign and get rid of the chairs so you don’t even think you might be able to sit and relax there.

Panda Castle in Malden should drop the«Dine In» sign immediatly. When I 1st moved to Malden, it was nice to have a Chinese restauarnt with in walking distance and to be able to sit down and have a meal. Within the past few tears, service has declined on a steady pace. From being told to «You better put in your dinner order NOW, because we get busy», while trying to enjoy our appetizers to just right out unfriendly service. Yesterday was the last straw. A friend of mine and I had walked in about 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to have a sit down lunch. It was a bad day, since our car broke down earleir that day. We stood in the entry way for almost 10 minutes, while viewing an empty dining room. Finally, a worker from the kitchen(who had waited on us many times in the past). Told us it was take out only. No sit down service on a Saturday afternoon. Tired and fed up we left to eat some where else. This was just ridiculous, since there are 5 other places within the block that was serving food. I won’t even order take out from this place again. Yes, the food is decent, but I don’t patronize a place that refuses to seat you. BTW, the last place that refused to seat us «Pampas» on Route 99 in Everett closed down 2 months laster. Perhaps the same fate will fall upon this place as well.

I used to eat here as a child and when I returned to Malden 15 years later I found myself accidentally ordering from them yet again. I have since ordered from them twice. The food is good and you get a ton of food for the price. It comes both quick and hot. I don’t know what else you can ask for from a take out Chinese place.

My FAVORITE Chinese restaurant! The food is always good! I have been eating here since 1997 and I always order the chow main meal with rice and boneless spare ribs and I swear in all those years the dish has not changed! I can always count on a good meal here!

i wasnt impressed to be honest. i was visiting friends down in malden, and theyve never been to the restaurant, so we decided to give it a go. went there around 8pm. was told that the dining room was closed because they were closing soon(10pm on the menu) so. had it to go. spent about 30 bucks on our dishes (Tofu with mushrooms, S&S Pork, Sesame chicken, white rice) brought it back to the house, and the sauce that was placed in a paper container leaked all over the sesame chicken, which was in styrofoam, so flavors mixed, not to mention the sauce was brown, and very very thick. the pork was inedible lol tofu with mushrooms? that was amazing, sauce was too thin, but was fresh and flavorful, so they get points for that. otherwise too pricey for the quality we received, and waiting was too long, sorry guys! checked out your competition next door and will be going back there again instead

Takeout from here the other night was lacking. General Gau’s was overcooked and frankly, when I bit into it, I wondered if there was even chicken there or if it was just balls of fried batter swimming in the sauce. Crab rangoons suffered a similar problem with a lack of filling. Aloha chicken sounded like a good idea, but chunks of canned pineapple thrown into chicken in brown sauce looked and tasted kind of nasty. The lo mein was actually decent and tipped the scale in their favor to a two star rating.

I’ve been coming here for years and they’re one of my favorites. There’s never been a time when I didn’t enjoy my meal. The rice is the way rice used to be everywhere. Very dark and flavorful. I tend to dislike the lighter colored pork fried rice you find places now. Their Chicken fingers are very good. Not too greasy and the batter has a delicious flavor. Beef teriyaki, yum. Chicken fingers, yum! I also love their fried wontons. They used to give you a basket of them when you dined in, but not any longer. I will say, they take forever with delivery though. There food is so good that it doesn’t take a star away.

Quick, tasty, large portions. Incredible value(no frills). We order one house rice special and soup and it’s enough for two people with leftovers for the next day. Amazing. Great peking ravioli, spare ribs, lettuce wraps.

This is one of those places you order from when you want Chinese and you really do not care what it tastes like you just want it to be cheap. They are one of the cheapest restaurants in the area. The majority of their plates cost less than 7 bucks even at dinnertime. The problem is the food is just not that great and it is not too consistent. Sometimes you will get it and think it is pretty alright but other times you just want to march in there and demand a refund. I avoid their pork fried rice because it is always old, hard, and salty.

I have been back here a few times since my first review and I have always been satisfied with the food. It’s always fresh-tasting(and hot when I get take out), but not overwhelming filling. I am especially a fan of the vegetable lo mein and their combination plates. It’s not a fancy Chinese place, and yeah, it’s mostly Chinese-American food. But for what it is, it’s very good, And not too expensive.

This place isn’t that great. My noodles were dry and flavorless. Yes, the prices were cheap, but then again the food was cheap. Delivery service took way too long for what we got. With so many other Chinese Food options in the area, this is the place to skip.
