Nurturing Roots PA offers a unique variety of services that are designed to help support women and their families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The birth of a child is a special time that you will remember for the rest of your life. Whatever you pregnancy and birth preferences or belief may be, it is important to remain healthy and feel supported in your journey.

History

Established in 2011.

I, Sarah Suriano, am the proprietor of Nurturing Roots PA. The concept for Nurturing Roots PA came when I decided to pursue my dream of doing what I love and love what I am doing! The final push to follow this dream was the birth of my 1^st son, Anthony, which was a precious milestone that truly transformed my life. Now, I have combined my yoga and doula knowledge and training to help offer a special unique experience to other moms to be. My goal is to help other women be healthy and feel supported in their individual journeys of motherhood.

Business Owner

I have always loved connecting with people and supporting others in pursuit of their goals. In 2003, I obtained a BS in Sociology from West Chester University minoring in both Anthropology and Ethnic Groups with a strong emphasis in Women’s Studies. This was my first step leading me toward my true path.

Yoga had always been a part of my life. It was a natural step when I graduated the 200 hour yoga teacher training through The Living Mandala School of Yoga. This training not only deepened my yoga practice and knowledge but also allowed me to become a Reiki 1 practitioner. I am presently a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance.

My birth doula work seemed to be the final step and started after the birth of my son Anthony. His birth was so profound it inspired me to help other women during their transitions to motherhood, be it their first, second, third time, or more. I am trained and certified through DONA International and I am fully insured.
