Formerly known as Malverne Prime Meats, Fork & Cleaver is a specialty butcher shop focused on meats, catering, prepared foods and also a dinner delivery service. We serve beef, pork, poultry and other specialized products.

Despite the name change, its the same owners and same faces.

History

Established in 1961.

Malverne Prime Meats started as an appointment-​only butcher shop. Over 50 years later, we have continually updated the product mix to offer various cuts of beef, chicken, veal, lamb, poultry and other specialized meats. Additionally, we sell fresh seafood that is brought in daily.

I got the best shish-​kabobs I ever had from here! Both the chicken and the beef! Also, the people there are always very friendly and remember you. I highly recommend them if you are looking for quality!

Another solid experience with the team at Fork and Cleaver!
At Thanksgiving I wanted to go with a local butcher and get a solid organic turkey. These guys were recommended to me and it was good to go. I actually got two turkeys… one to do a practice round with a new recipe, and one for the big day.
Both birds came out really well. The quality of what Fork & Cleaver had provided was evident in the texture and flavor. I also bought the gravy from them and it was well received.
This week I ordered up a whole brisket to smoke for the Superbowl. Got the owner on the phone who gave me great service and a quick phone call back with pricing and availability. Picked up the piece of meat today and it’s another solid piece to entertain guests with.
Give these guys a call with what you need. You will not be disappointed.
