Excellent service delivered with speed and integrity. Jimmy came right over and repaired my washing machine so it is good as new. I was worried I would need a new machine but it was repaired at a fair and reasonable price. They did the same for dishwasher a year ago and it still works great. Highly recommend them.

I went through almost exactly the same experience as Greenmom W. (minus the renovations). Back in April, he came to diagnose the problem. After a series of seasonal maladies (both on my side and his), travels, a newborn, and the Summer, I texted with him on July 25^th and we set a date for him to fix the oven on July 30^th. I texted again on the 29^th to confirm, but received no response. And on the 31^st, on August 5^th, 17^th, and 21^st (I also left voicemails and emails). Nothing.
Finally, I drove to the location of Mmk Appliance & Repair to find a FOR RENT sign on their window!!! Nobody could tell me what had happened. I don’t know WHY they still have an answering service that’s «active», and I can’t find ANYWHERE that shows they are closed permanently… The entire situation is baffling, and there is no way a business should be able to get away with swindling their customers out of $.
If anyone knows of a way to get my $$ back (more out of principal than anything else), I would REALLY appreciate it.

CAVEAT EMPTOR.
I contacted Mamaroneck Appliance to repair my oven based on the mostly positive reviews on Unilocal and google. Unlike many appliance repair companies in the area, Jim only charges a $ 50 diagnosis fee that could later be applied to repair of my appliance. Jim showed up, diagnosed my problem and left me the option of replacing or repairing my oven. In the next few weeks, I attempted to locate a reasonable replacement (we plan on renovating in the coming year and didn’t want to over spend on an oven that would be tossed out). Unable to do so, I contacted Jim to order the part to repair my oven. Jim left me a message that he was ordering the part and could complete my repair by the end of the week.
Numerous phone calls later, I have not heard back from Jim. He does not answer or return calls. I was forced to shell out another $ 100 just to have my appliance repair «diagnosed» by another repair company that does not apply those fees to labor or parts (another $ 250 in addition to the $ 100, in addition to the $ 50 lost paying Jim).
Jim, I hope the $ 50 bucks was worth the ding to your «professional» reputation.

You could call several other repair services in the area (and I did) with your appliance incident but why bother. Just call these guys. From the initial call to final invoice, absolute top-​shelf. Quick? Yup. Price? Competitive. Professional? Always.

I have called this company twice when I was stuck with washer/​dryer issues. On both occasions I found them to be very timely and able to do a quality job for a reasonable price. Jim was very responsive and had good follow up in my opinion. by checking in a few days after he serviced the dryer to make sure everything was working properly. I highly recommend Mamaroneck Appliance & Service.

Absolutely shocking customer service — in January I first asked Jim round to perform a simple repair on my dishwasher. The first time he came round, he misdiagnosed the problem. The second time, he failed to bring the right part. The third time… well, I’m still waiting for the third time as despite repeated appointments that he’s failed to turn up for (with no warning) and repeated failures to respond to my texts, I’m still waiting. He DID mend my tumble drier, but that took several attempts. He’s a nice guy, but hopeless at customer service, hopeless at doing what he’s supposed to, so avoid, avoid, avoid. I hate having to leave such a negative review, but it’s the last option left to me. And if you’re reading this Jim — maybe you could bother to respond to a text at some point? Maybe you will now?

Mamaroneck Appliance is the best repair service I’ve ever used. I can’t recommend them more highly. They are an honest, prompt, knowledgable, old fashioned full service repair company that seems to be disappearing. I called them in a panic after getting a 500 $ + estimate from ‘Big Johns’ appliance repair in New Rochelle. According to ‘Big John’ I had a broken pump that was a special «sealed part» that they needed to special order and replace, and my minor hinge latching issue on the dryer required total disassembly and another new part– for a grand total of 500 $. As my machines are fairly new I got a second opinion from Mamaroneck Appliance. Jim was out the very same day– and pulled a kids sock out of my «broken» pump (which opened easily without a tool) and drained the machine. He fixed the latch on the dryer in 10 minutes. Total repair– 134 $ and 30 minutes! In addition, they have followed up to see how the repair is holding up and researched a missing button on my dryer, sending digital photos back & forth with the manufacture. Honestly, I can’t say enough great things about these guys, totally honest, reliable, skilled, NICE– a breath of fresh air!

What a farce and a dishonest man. Ordered a washer/​dryer from him when mine broke. He lied about delivery date, never returned phone calls or emails, lied to me in emails about calling me and when the items would be delivered. I am now at home being stood up with a pile of dirty laundry for my family and having to call a big box and wait another couple of days. Do not use this man or his company. Oh, and when i drove by his store, it did not exist, it was a po box. The owner, Jim Arcadipane, is not a man of his word and is not to be trusted.

Our dishwasher flooded two days before we were scheduled to have a large function at our home over the holidays. We called the GE customer service and were told that nothing could be done until businesses reopened on Monday. I called Mamaroneck Appliance and left a message, hoping that they would call back. A few minutes later I received a call back and the serviceman asked what the problem was, requested that I text him the model number of the machine, and showed up within the hour. He examined the machine and, although there was some wear on the gasket, he advised that it did not appear to be malfunctioning. Rather, he believed that the flooding was due either to someone adding dishwashing detergent by accident to the machine, or a blocked rotator. He ran the machine an entire cycle and, during that time, patiently explained to my wife and I all of the various and sundry issues that could arise with a dishwasher. His knowledge of the subject was, I would say, encyclopedic. I was extremely impressed. Having spent over an hour with us, and convincing us that expensive repairs were not required, he refused payment for his time and effort! I was extremely impressed, and would call him again in an instant. Oh, and by the way, he called this morning, after the party, and asked how the machine worked. That is real neighborhood service, and to be prized.

I called on a Saturday and asked for someone to come look at a broken dishwasher in Mamaroneck. Someone called me back and said they would be there in 2 hours. Nobody showed up. I called again Sunday and left a message asking for an update on the visit and offered a second chance at the job, it is now Monday night and I still have not received a call back. Obviously I am now calling other repairmen in the area, and dont recommend these guys if you want someone to actually show up. I used this company because I read the one other Unilocal review which was really positive, so had to write a negative review to make sure you think twice before using them. Good luck.

You know how you read rave reviews and you figure they MUST be fake? These guys were called when my oven door jammed, I left a voicemail, and then figured I better go out and buy some takeout for dinner. The technician called me within 15 minutes (I was at the grocery store) from my front step. I told him to just go in without me, and he had the oven fixed before I got home. Amazing.
I’ve used Mamaroneck Appliance Repair before, also good results. Highly recommended. They are the real deal, putting all others to shame.
