This review is for unit 56–
–pros: clean
–cons: completely outdated; seriously it looks like nothing has been touched since the 70s. The furniture, the fixtures, the décor… ugh.
–no central heating; has those ancient little electric wall heaters that barely heat the place up.
–wi-​fi doesn’t work.
–very poor water pressure in the shower; water takes a long time to heat also.
–bed in loft is definitely not a queen size and is super soft.
I know most condo units are individually owned, so come on people, and take pride in an investment you’ve made! It’s so unfortunate when people don’t make easy upgrades to places like these.

The first time we stayed here we got a great updated unit. The second time we tried to get the same unit but it was booked, the unit they told us we would get was, «better», than the first time we came. Unfortunately for us they, «double booked», us and by the time we found out only an «older but clean», Unit was available but unfortunately the only true statement was that it was older. The bedroom had a queen size bargain basement mattress and the fold out couch was just plain terrible. The pillows were disgusting and stained. If I would have known I would have brought my own pillows or just stayed somewhere else.

This place is AWFUL! They don’t plow the road (hill) that is mandatory to drive up to get to your accommodation so have fun walking in the freezing cold if you don’t have a four wheel drive. The ladies at the front office were so rude and not helpful only to give us a room that wasn’t the one we were shown through pictures when making the reservation. They gave us 2 room keys, one didn’t work. The code they gave us for the closest hot tub, didn’t work. The room itself was so extremely outdated and gross. The room was supposed to sleep 4, it had one bed and a pull out couch. The couch looked like it was from a thrift store, didn’t even give us fitted sheets for that mattress. The pillows they gave us had stains on it. The beds were so old and uncomfortable. There was a leak in one of the bathrooms. Also if you need anything don’t plan on calling the front desk, they’ll never answer. The TV’s were from the 60’s and didn’t work. The rug was coming undone in a section and I stepped on a nail under it. Overall the place is gross and needs to be remodeled inside as well as new staff. Don’t waste your time here or money because the rooms are not cheap especially for what they give you.

No trash bags when we showed up. Everything else was fine, but seriously they need to work on the basics. Place was nice though. We had 6, but could easily sleep 8.

If you’re going to mammoth for snow sports, this is great. We stayed in a unit that had a loft, kitchen, dining room, living room, two bathrooms and a bedroom. The loft had a bed and bunk bed. Also there was a couch, pull out couch, so we were able to fit 10 people in there.
Balcony was amazing, we had a gorgeous view. Everything was within minutes. Everything was working properly. Had a TV of course, board games, VHS tapes, VCR.etc. I would recommend these units. No complaints here, loved it!

Beware of this place to stay specially if through an owner. Was terrible and the office would not help us at all. Would never stay there again. Our condo was broke down (beds). Sink in bathroom leaked and hair in shower when we got there.

Stay here all the time. Friendly and amazing staff. Walked to canyon to snowboard. Condos are neat and clean. Also got a garage to park in.

Stayed in #74 and worked out ideally for our ski weekend. The location was a 10 min walk to the Canyon lodge to begin our skiing, trolleys ran back and forth into town, and our accommodations were comfortable. Nice hot tub after skiing also. My only complaint why only 3 vs. 4 stars is the mattress on the bed was very soft so after skiing all day I would have preferred a firmer mattress. My other buddy said the same thing about his bed also. And since sleep/​rest is paramount on a ski trip for recuperation I would say improve the mattresses and I would give you a higher rating.

Bad, bad, bad!!! condition is not good at all! Swimming pool and hot tub are tiny small! The property management there is horrible! No customer service at all…

I learned that each of these units are individually owned, therefore, if renting check out the pictures on the website. There is tremendous value to be had and this is a great location, close to Canyon Lodge and we walked to The Village with NO problem (note…we are not young, in fact, retired). We rented a condo that was very well maintained, cozy bed, wine cooler (with wine supplied by owner, though they asked for «drink one, leave one»), and lovely art work. Flat screen TVs and DVDs upstairs and downstairs. The walk up the hill is absolutely fine if one takes it slow. There is also a ski back trail; however, a bit of a challenge getting from the trail to the condo unit.
We will definitely return.

ok they get two stars because they finally gave in and allowed me to use the credit towards a future stay (which i did). i just dont understand why they would be so difficult, but in the end i got a credit. ive since used another out fit there that actually allows a credit for future stay

Just spent the weekend in Mammoth! The snow was awesome and we had a great weekend boarding!
We thought that the Mammoth Ski and Racquet Club was a great deal for the price. A huge plus was that it had a garage, which was great since it stormed over the weekend and we didn’t have to deal with a cold car, scrapping ice off the windows, or getting the car stuck in all the snow.
The condo itself was nice. We had a one bedroom with a loft. The one bedroom had a king bed, the loft had a queen bed and a bunk bed. It was the perfect size for the four of us. The couch also was a sleeper sofa, so essentially it could sleep up to seven. Went to the spa as well, it was indoors, not my favorite, but decent.
The only drawback is the hike up to the condo. It is a quick 5 – 10 minute walk to Canyon, which was awesome, but the walk back to the condo is up a little hill. We were also on the 3^rd floor, which was another three flights of stairs. It wasn’t horrible, but just a little bit of extra work to do after a long day of snowboarding and carrying your gear! If you don’t like walking then don’t stay here!
We would definitely stay here again. The prices were reasonable and the location was perfect.

Stayed here quite a few times over the years for skiing and fishing vacations. Booking is easy. Just go to
and click on «accommodations» to see pictures of the units and availability. If you do last minute booking (within 48 hours of arrival), there’s a 20% discount, good deal. Done that a few times and saved a couple of hundred dollars. The kitchen is fully stocked with full-​size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, plates, cups, pots and pans. You might need to bring cooking oil and may be aluminum foil and condiments. The units are nicely decorated and clean, although a little dated depending on the unit. Think early 1990’s.
Other condos I’ve stayed before: 1849 Condos and Snowbird Condos. Mammoth Ski and Racquet Club (MSRC) is probably comparable to 1849 Condos, but MSRC is about ²⁄₃ of the price or less. Snowbird is very nice but more expensive. You get what you pay for. Both 1849 and Snowbird are true walk to the lift condos.
MSRC has a new ski back trail to Village gondola. To access, you have to walk or drive UP to the tennis courts and scramble UP a steep slope to get to the trail. Ski down the trail to get to the Village gondola. Take off the skis and WALK ACROSS the Village courtyard, climb UP the stairs to ride the gondola BACK to Canyon Lodge lift chairs. It’s a pretty time consuming process and laborious. I would recommend just getting up early and drive to the Canyon Lodge parking lot. The lot fills up quickly in the morning, so get there early. It’s a three minute drive from the condo.
Their cancellation, refund policy is probably no different from comparable condos in the area. You have the option of buying trip cancellation insurance when booking.

We Stayed at #26 and it was terrific. Very cozy. Well equipped. Clean. Very Close to Canyon Lodge… about 2 blocks away. Garage Parking. Fully equipped kitchen, but we ate out every night. We made coffee, cocoa and oatmeal in the mornings before heading for the slopes. The 4 of us were very comfortable. The snow was OUTRAGEOUS… record December snowfall. Sharon of City Concierge was extremely helpful and the price was extremely fair for what we received. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! I wish I could go back right now! Stupid job.

I have traveled to mammoth nearly every summer and the condo I typically stay at was booked solid so I stayed at mammoth ski and raquetclub for the first time. I stayed in unit 98 and the mattress in the bedroom was divine. By far the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in while on vacation. The place was resonably priced, had AAA discount, and had a covered garage to protect ur car from the occasional hail storm.

Stayed here in early March over a weekend with a bunch of friends. We had a total of two separate condos, and there was a huge difference between the two. One was cleaner, bright and spacious, layout was more open. The larger of the two was a bit darker, decorations were out-​dated, the couch was a bit dingy and broken-​looking, and I was actually afraid to sit on it. So if possible, you might want to request for pictures when booking your condo to see if it’s to your liking.
If you do book a condo here for lodging, you are walking distance from the ski lifts at Canyon Lodge. However, be prepared for the walk, since it’s sliiiiiightly uphill and you’ll probably have all your heavy snowboarding gear. And don’t forget you’ll need to walk back after your long day of skiing or snowboarding with your equipment too. I’m just saying this because I’m a major weaksauce when it comes to carrying heavy things uphill. But that’s just me. :)

After being tired of snowboarding, you had to climb up to get to your lodge, it’s definitely a pain in the *ss and I didn’t mean just a climb. The steep slope heading to ur condo would made you think twice of getting out to eat for dinner and after arriving at your building, you’d have to climb another flight of stairs to get to the condo.
I’ve stayed in 4 different condos when I went to Mammoth, and this was probably the worst ones. Great view, but other than that, forget it, even cars with chain were having hard-​time to go up during snow, it’s too treacherous and the amenities in the condo was pretty bad. The whole rooms were carpeted, except the kitchen, so you better think twice before stepping in with your boots, unless you dun mind walking around stepping into wet carpet.
Paid about $ 90 for 2 nights for my share so assuming I calculated correctly, it costed us almost $ 500 for this small condo, totally not worth it. I didn’t know that we’re gonna stayed at this condo until D-​day, so lesson learnt for me: Always always find out where the condo is located before jumping on the decision to come along!

We stayed in one of the units in the K building. I liked this property.
The lodging stats on Mammoth Reservations Bureau say it sleeps six, but I counted nine (three in the bunk, two on the queen in the same bedroom; two on the king in the second bedroom; and two on the fold out in the living room). We actually crammed 13 in the cabin for this trip.
We stayed for two nights over the second weekend in December and paid $ 574 (including tax), which came out to ~$ 44 per person for 13 people.
The Reservation Bureau said we can’t check in til 5, but sometimes they’re lenient and you can call ahead to see if the property is available check in early. We didn’t call ahead, but we did check in half an hour earlier. The girl said it was $ 15 per key. I think she meant if you lose a key. But she didn’t say that. She took an imprint of my credit card. You can request up to four keys.
I asked how many parking stalls we get. Two. I asked if there was any other guest parking. She said no. I worried about that because there was supposed to be like four cars in our party. She didn’t say anything about getting a garage stall, but the complex was SUPER empty. Everyone was just like fuggit. I parked in the garage the second night.
After we left the Bureau, we got back on to Main St, drove up, and turned right onto Canyon Dr. We took that up some ways, right on Mammoth Slopes (I think). At the beginning of the complex is a little hut.
The MRB info on the unit also advertised $ 25 wifi per stay. We stayed for two nights and paid $ 25. If we would’ve stayed for five nights, it still would’a been $ 25. Its just a flat rate.
The heat was regulated by a fire place in the living room. The kitchenette was just enough room for BF and I to bump around, cooking dinner.
Kitchen supplies were really good. There were lots of Pyrex pans and utensils and platters. We brought our own knife, though. You don’t mess around with the knife.
The lodging info said the property was walking distance to Canyon Lodge. A lie.
Everything was really clean and well-​supplied.
The place would probably be comfortable for eight people. With 13, it was cramped.
The nearby rec room had some old school arcade games, a pool table, and a hot tub.
Saturday morning, our power was out. We looked down the hall and no hall lights were on. Our friends were staying in another complex and had power. Apparently it was just our complex. I called the complex office and they said they’d look into it. A few minutes later, our power kicked on. A technician came like an hour later to check us out.
Overall, I really liked this property. I’d seek this lodging out again.
