Carry was awesome what a great canyon have lived in Mammoth for almost 10 years and haven’t really explored this area, crazy because this canyon was awesome. Maybe because I like to ride my bike so much but thought it would be nice to try horseback riding. Was relaxing looking around. Thanks Carry and MeGee Pack Station. So worth the 15 – 20 minute drive. Even then drive it self had amazing views.

My friend and I came for a trail ride when we were vacationing in the area. Both being equestrians we wanted to be sure we went somewhere that would have well cared for animals and be worth the money for us.
The horses and mules all looked fat and happy, and the staff was very friendly. Our ride was short and sweet, and the horses were mellow and sound. Our guide was very knowledgeable about geology and botany in the region and made the ride very interesting. The price was great for the ride, certainly more affordable than I’ve ever seen in LA.
If I’m in the area again and have a hankering for a trail ride I will definitely return.

Very good two hour ride. Carrie and her daughter Kiera were great. Great scenery and horses were well trained. Would come back for sure. (We had kids aged 10 to 16 and all were very safe, wear helmets)

4th time here and had another great trail ride. This time I rode a mule named Georgia. They were written up in Sunset magazine and we were hoping that it didn’t bring in droves of folks. Business is up, but we were pleased to see that the place was not overrun. Look them up if you are camping in the mammoth lakes area. Really worth checking out.

They may be great for trips but we did a «walk and lead’ with my two girls this summer and it was a waste of time and money, all we did was walk the horse around in a circle next to the stables and all the horses wanted to do was stop and eat the whole time, my kids had no fun nor did we and left after 20 minutes :-(

I can’t say enough about this place. It is well worth the 15 minute drive from Mammoth to get there. The wranglers /​guides are awesome and the scenery. Unbeatable. Never seen anything like it. I think it beats Yosemite Valley, actually. You WON’T regret choosing this pack station. Yeehaw!
