Golden Jade must have a following because they’ve somehow managed to stay afloat for more than a few years despite have less than satisfactory Chinese take-out. Wonton soup was flavorless; General’s Chicken was over done and difficult to chew; Pork fried rice was yellow(saffron? but without flavor) with a meager amount of onions and pork; egg rolls were acceptable. My recommendation would be to skip this place and head on over to Peking Garden on East Bay Avenue. On a positive note, the restaurant was very clean and the staff very friendly.

good fresh food very clean… not greasy gross like some Chinese places. they have sushi too and it’s very good. service is a little blah but who cares … better to come in and place your order though than on the phone unless you really enunciate and make sure it’s all correct

If you can’t speak and understand English, then you shouldn’t be taking customers orders over the phone. That’s how you mess up orders. And you NEVER argue with the customer when you make a mistake. Bad business. On a side note, pay your drivers more. They are not happy either. Twenty dollars is not enough to survive!

My favorite Chinese food place in the area. Their wonton soup is always delicious. Always go for the Tso’s. Can’t go wrong. Sushi was pretty good the few times we had it.

Possibly worst Chinese food I ever had. My family is vegetarian and we order veg dumplings around the country. We couldn’t eat them and asked they take it back. Waitress refused saying that’s how they taste. Also they charged me a dollar for extra noodles. I hate chains but you’re better off at Fridays next door.

Got a piece of steel wool in my wonton. They explained to me that they washed their dishes with it. Did not comp. me on my soup or meal. Good thing I did not swallow it. Lost our families business because they did not apologize or comp us on our meal. Bad business.

This place is really set up for take out. If you decide to eat in the staff is curt. They won’t give you water at the table. Tea is made from a bag one cup at a time. They substitute egg roll wrappers for mandarin pancakes. The food is OK, but nothing to write home about.

Surprising Sushi find. Their portions are huge and the fish was fresh and delicious. The restaurant doesn’t look like much, but in have come back repeatedly and been very happy with the sushi!

Go to asian gourmet instead like I did. At golden jade one time I order a advacado. Cream cheese roll and got charged for a Philly roll not a huge deal but I did not receive the salmon so the next time I decided to order a Philly roll with the salmon on the side and was informed it would cost 5.45 more. I then said I just want whatever portion of salmon that comes on the roll but on the side. She insisted it would be 10.95 so I then asked If the Philly roll was already premade in which she said no. So Apparently it costs 5.45 dollars more for them to just make it without the salmon.

Just moved into the area and had to try the local Chinese Restaurant. We dropped over $ 50 so that we could bring home a variety. One entrée was more tasteless than the other. Absolutely disappointed and very upset that I threw over $ 50 away… very upset.

Pretty good take out. Always friendly to our children(give them fortune cookies whenever they go in). Dumplings are excellent, as mentioned by others. A little more expensive than other places(. 25¢). Will keep searching for our«go to» Chinese place.

Decent food but dont expect a lot of meat. Dishes are bloated with rice & vegetables to cut costs. When i told the manager i wasnt happy with the amount of meat in my pepper steak he said that is the«normal amount everyone uses». Ive been ordering pepper steak for 10 years at every chinese place around and this is the worst i have seen. At china king in barnegat you literally would get twice the amount of meat. nothing sets this place aside from any of the many chinese places around and i would not go here again there is much better around

Very good local Chinese place. The dumplings are fantastic(steamed or fried). The General Tso’s chicken is also very good. The veggies are always fresh and the meat is flavorful. Great place for a fast eat-in lunch or dinner take-out.
