Well, after reading the disgruntled folks I’d like to note that I went in to check an oil leak and they found it in a hurry late on a Saturday and so saved my weekend’s use of the car. It was that the previous mechanic elsewhere had left the previous rubber gasket from the previous oil filter on when he took the old oil filter off and then installed the new one with its ring so I had 2 rings!/rubber gaskets. And, they checked my brakes and said told me they were fine and charged me about $ 30 to boot. I waited ½ hour and their examination took a ½ hour in total. What can I say: thanks.

I’m hoping that things get better at this but it is usually a disappointment. They don’t care about you and it shows. I dropped my tire off this morning and when they called me to tell me it was ready I asked if they could put it on the car for me at around 5:00PM when I went over. They said sure. But when I went there — they said it would be an hour or more wait. They couldn’t even guarantee that they could do it that night. Really? So I’d wait all night and have to go home without my tire on the car. I’ll take it to another shop to have the tire put on the car.

I took my car to Mr Tire, Manalapan NJ., route 9S for 4 tires, wheel alignment and oil change. When I went to pick up my car, was documented I need struts and steering linkage changed. A wheel alignment could not be done if it really needed these parts. So either way they were trying to rip me off. They also said I need a new timing belt which I just had replaced. I have this in writing. What they did not know I worked on my cars for many years and I have a friend who was a licensed mechanic. I will never go back.
