Aits Septic Repair Service

I called AITS Septic Repair simply to get second opinion and quote for a pump replacement and panel replacement. Besides providing a more competitive price, Rick was extremely knowledgeable about his business and freely shared with me important details about quality of materials and various pumps, etc in order for me to keep my septic system well running. Rick is honest and methodical. He’s now my go-​to guy for any septic servicing from now on.

Rick replaced our septic pumps and redid our holding tank 3 years ago. One of our pumps stopped working recently so we called Rick and he came out the next day. After concluding the pump was bad, he apologized and explained that the pumps are supposed to last up to 15 years. He came back today with a new pump but first spent over an hour cleaning out the motor on the existing pump in the hopes he could fix it. He was able to get the existing pump running again.
Rick is one of the most honest, decent people I have ever met. He and his assistant are polite, neat and they left the property without a trace of evidence that they were there.

We recently had to have our pumps replaced in our septic tank and a few other repairs. We have lived in this house for 28 years and have used different companies.
Rick Aits was referred by a neighbor. He reassured me over the phone when the alarm went on, came right out on a Friday and work was done on Monday. Had the field pumped the same day.

I cannot rave enough about Aits Septic Repair. I am 8 months pregnant and my husband is out of town. On new years day my water level alarm started going off in my basement and I had no idea of what to do. I am completely unfamiliar with repairing household appliances and did not know what to do as water was flooding through my basement. I called every Septic Repair company in Northern Virginia that I could google, and provided that it was New Year’s day no one I talked to was able to help me. Majority of companies I spoke with wanted to charge me an arm and leg just to come out and evaluate the situation! One company, Roto Rooters, did send someone out free of charge but he did not even look at the pump before he told me that if he needed to even open the thing up he was going to start charging by the hour and I was looking at 2,000 and higher for an estimated total — baffled I didn’t know what to say and he left without looking at the problem. Without having my husband in town, I really didn’t know what to do. Completely stressed, I started calling a few more companies and came across Aits — Rick call me back almost immediately (On New Years day, when the company is closed). He was amazingly kind and understanding to my situation. Some of the problems I was explaining he told me he did not generally handle but was happy to help me anyways. Further, he offered to come out to my house if he needed to but was willing to talk me through the process to troubleshoot the pump. He walked me through several processes step by step until one finally worked. He was well very well informed and educated on the process and explained everything to me in detail. He was even able to explain parts to me by their appearance when I was not sure what part he was referring to. After he helped me get my pump back up and running, he even asked call him back to update him so he could confirm it was working correctly. After he helped me repair the situation (Free of charge and all over the phone) he talked me through what to do if this happened again and had me write down the best type of ejector pump I should get. I cannot believe how kind and helpful Rick was. He saved me so much money and further stress. Being home alone and 8months pregnant I cannot say how thankful I am. It was very clear to me that Rick wanted to help and was not haggling or trying to get a uninformed female to over pay as several other companies made me feel. More over, Rick talked me through step by step instructions of what exactly I needed to do. Thank you so much Rick and Aits! I will def recommend Aits to anyone I meet with Septic repair issues or if/​when I need one for myself. Highly recommended!!!

Our pump failed in our septic tank. Rick Aits returned my call promptly and came by the same afternoon. He uncovered the large tank and arranged for someone to come pump out my tanks so he could do the work. The next morning both tanks were pumped out and he was back be before noon to perform the repair. Within a few hours, we had a working pump.
Price-​wise, he was right where I expected things to be and he even helped us out a little. He also took care of notifying the County about the work and scheduled the inspector to come out. I would definitely use them again for repairs.

Ait’s Septic Repair Service is hands down the best septic service in Northern Virginia! I dealt with a number of septic companies in the past, all who have either had ridiculous pricing, horrible customer service or poor scheduling. I’m glad to say that you won’t find any of that with Ait’s! Ricky, the owner, is a stand up guy and knows his stuff. He pumped out and inspected my tank and not only was it a great deal, he went above and beyond helping me understand the condition of my system. He does quality work and arrived on time. I will only be using Ait’s from here on out for any of my septic needs — everyone else should do the same!

I called Ricky Aits on Saturday afternoon, just after alarms went off that my septic pumps (one of them 38 years in service!) had failed. He returned my call almost immediately, assured me that I wasn’t in immediate danger of a catastrophic flood, and that he would arrange to have the sytem pumped out and come to assess the damage Monday morning. Diagnosed the problem and quoted a reasonable price to completely overhaul my ancient pump pit. Work was completed today (Friday) and we are relieved to be able to take showers and do laundry again! Work was done professionally, and we are grateful for Mr Aits calm support during this «crisis!» Chose them on the basis of unanimous «recommends» on Washington Consumer Checkbook website — glad we did.

Rick went above and beyond to get my septic inspection passed. He could have failed it but worked for 2 hours to clear roots so it could be passed. Thank you Rick.
