Ordered a flight. $ 16.00. There were only 6 beers available, 3 of them being a stout/​porter (not a good ratio)
My girlfriend was with me, she liked NONE of the beers (she’s usually outgoing with beer). Meaning I had to man up and drink everything, which I’m usually down for but… eh.
Jalapeño IPA was the only one I enjoyed (⁷⁄₁₀), although you might want to tone down the spice. Felt like I was drinking a Jalapeño chip smoothie.
Should really think about making something a little lighter, wheat, pilsner of some sort (I know, simple enough, but it would balance all the darkness out), or a hefe.
Nice service, nice atmosphere, and dogs are allowed!
Really wish they had more beer on hand, probably won’t be going back considering there are many places with many more options.

Marcelo’s review really hit the nail squarely on the head in saying «this place makes me happy» He is absolutely correct. The beers are full body and not watery. The atmosphere is super relaxed.
The staff are super friendly and LOVE talking beer.
Conclusion: it’s just a fantastic place to relax, and sip on a flight of their latest creations.

Only place in town worth the trip and your presence. Call it what you want, this place still makes me feel good. Something about it just makes me happy. The beer is still quality and the people still are passionate. If you are going to have a drink in Manassas with a bud or buds or even by yourself, I wouldn’t recommend any other place but Bad Wolf Center St. Come to think of it, it reminds me of a modern day Cheers, a show I sort of remember, it’s like that.

Been to both lications. Love them both. Dogs are allowed at the Kao location. Great beer and great service everytime I go there.

I’ve been going here since the day it opened. The people are great! The beer is always different and I love that they get to experiment and bring as much passion to this beer as they would if they were still home brewing.

The guys behind the bar were nice, the music was excellent, and everyone seemed to be having a good time in this small brewery in a little strip mall. But with no food, the only thing I can review is the beer… and I went ⁰⁄₆. I have read other reviews, but man, I just can’t go along after my visit. Beers ranged from dank to gritty, and just seemed more like homebrew you shared with your friends-​not quality enough for retail sale. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but I expect it will be a while before they get another shot from me.

Enjoyed the 6 craft beers. The atmosphere is relaxed. Enjoyed the complimentary popcorn!!!

I love Badwolf Brewing. The staff, beer and customers are great too. Both locations are a must see if you’re in the Manassas area.

Beer making supply store, hair salon, gun store, restaurant, and an awesome brewery… an eclectic strip mall, but I’m glad we stumbled upon this place (and no we weren’t drinking before we go there). It’s fairly small inside, but they had decent seating. We were greeted right away and were pointed to the chalkboard wall that had descriptions of the 6 beers they had on tap.
The beer was definitely the star of this show. They had a great range of different flavor profiles and ABV % and they let us try them all before ordering our drinks. They serve smalls and pints, as well as growlers. The beers were all good and the service was great. They would come by to clear our glasses and offer us another round. What’s really cool is the popcorn machine they have there and you can grab a free bowl of popcorn and they even have flavor toppings.
We overheard one of the workers say that this was their original location and they have a larger location not far from this one. We really liked this place and it was cool that it was unsuspecting in the a strip mall, but it was full of people and had great beer. Will definitely visit again.

Small spot with no food… but the beer is almost always good. There is usually only about 6 beers available at a time which is part of the charm.
The staff is friendly and you feel like they could talk about beer for hours and hours.
You are sure to find a beer you like. Even the ones i didn’t care for were at least unique and flavorful. You can tell the beer is made by people that care deeply about their craft.

Really good beer, great service. Extra points for creativity. This was my 2^nd visit.
I walked in and Metallica was playing, followed by other 80s/​early 90s rock music. With that introduction, I knew it would be a good time.
Of course with almost 300 beer recipes, it’s hard to find something you won’t like — although to be fair, they only have 6 beers on tap at a time. Those 6 are listed on the big chalkboard, and they even give a recommended tasting order if you get a flight. They also have a larger establishment about 15 minutes away (affectionately called Big BadWolf) but this one is the original.
This selection constantly changes; during both visits some of them I loved, others I just liked. But the guys who worked there were really into their job; they were thrilled to talk about their own favorites during my entire visit. I enjoyed chatting with them almost as much as I savored several of the excellent brews.
BadWolf doesn’t make their own food, but are open to you bringing your own — in fact, the pizza place 2 doors down delivers (or was supposed to — they forgot about me, so I had to pick up my own food).
This place also has the Dad Seal of Approval; I took him here (with mom) in recompense to how he had to suffer thru a wine tasting. This definitely made up for it.

These guys know their stuff! The customer service was top notch and I’m glad we stopped in. The beer was good and they have popcorn to snack on as bar food. The place is small, but accommodating. Recommend stopping here for sure!

Great Beer
This place has by far the best beer I’ve ever had. To qualify my statement, I’m not a beer nut, and I haven’t been to other craft breweries.
They make their own beer. Some of the beer is your standard IPA or lager, but they also get creative. At any one time they’ll have six beers of different styles to choose from. If you ask they will pour a swig into a glass and let you get a taste.
It’s a small place. It has a few tables and some bar stools. They don’t serve food, but they’ll let you bring in food. I was in there one time, and a guy was eating a pizza and washing it down with their beer.
I don’t hang around. I get a growler and go. And this is where I want you to pay attention. The growler’s they have are FRAGILE. I’ve broken two already. The last time the bottle had a little crack and some of the beer had leaked out into my fridge. I had to drink the whole growler right then and there or risk more leakage. The good news is that they will refill growlers from other places. I have two very sturdy growlers from another place, and I will be using these.

We had a chance to visit this craft brewery. Based on the advice of fellow Unilocalers, we knew they were located in a tiny strip mall. We also were aware of the limited seating.
When we arrived, the place was hopping. We snagged a nice table by the window. We opted for the flight tasting, and were educated to drink based on the huge menu on the wall. The coffee infused beer was not my fav but all others were definitely very tasty.
The staff was awesome. They provided us with some complimentary fresh popped popcorn. The staff is very knowledgable and they seem to attract regulars.

We were looking to check out some small local breweries and BadWolf was on our list. Thanks to fellow Unilocaler reviews, we decided to head to Manassas. BadWolf has a nice parking lot located in a big strip mall. Yes, it’s true, the place is tiny. There were 3 – 4 tables in the front and possible some seats along the side of the venue.
It’s a simple tasting process. Their chalkboard lists the beers on tap along with notes to help the tasting process. We started with a flight of 6 beers, and they are listed in order of tasting recommendation. I loved the flavors of all the beers, some more significant than orders. Although I am a coffee drinker, the coffee infused brew was just too strong. There were a couple of IPAs that I really enjoyed. I love how they offer a small and pint size. There is popcorn available to help clean the palette. We enjoyed a few more pints after our flight.
Staff is awesome! They provide much needed information for the newbie. The vibe in this little place is very friendly. Lots of regulars; everyone seems to know each other.

Old Town Manassas has been going through some great changes in the past couple of years. And Bad Wolf is definitely one of the great additions in this change. Now, if you are looking for some fancy hipster driven place, or a shiny spot with sparkly mash tuns this is not your place. It’s the hometown «bar» where you see many of the same faces. And bar isn’t the right word, but you get what I mean.
Having worked in breweries in years past, I love to see this trend of small breweries that go out on a limb with their product. The selections are ambitious, and while not every beer will be your favorite, I have yet to be disappointed, and I am a once a week guest. Jesse and Claire, who brew and tend, are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. They make the experience. There are now several choices in the area, and I won’t bad mouth any of them because I love to see the industry grow. But if you want a delicious beer, and not something mass produced even on a microbrewery level, this is your spot. Just don’t come on Thursdays, as it’s getting crowded and that’s my night! Unless you are an attractive women in your 30s…

Hey if you live in Manassas or close they are worth the visit, revisit, drinking hole etc. The staff here is super friendly and the people you will meet hanging out are extremely nice, check even have hung out with some after the place closes. The beer! The fact they are nano scale means they can play with what ever they like and so it makes for a exciting trip every time. Hum what crazy yummy beer will be on tap today. Ha like beer roulette! They don’t conform to the standard beer market they are off the wall and I like it. Mango ipa ok vanilla porter ok some wired beer with chocolate and anise sure why not.
The fun thing about them is you just don’t know what they will have on tap and since they brew small it’s more like one and done. This is what makes them so unique, come by once a month new beer every time. That is how you wish some of the big dog’s did their beer! If your curious and have hankering for some random off the wall yumminess give their beers a try!

What a great little hidden gem in NoVa. After a very fun day with friends at a winery, we stopped by the cute little brewery to have a flight. I had «liked» them on Facebook the previous week and checked out their website before visiting. I was very excited to try some of the beers they had on tap (from the websites), but upon arrival, they had different beers altogether. Which was obviously fine and quite yummy. The beers were smooth and very good and the selection is pretty wide. Although, I was wanting to try a couple of specifics, I was happy with what I did have and we even brought home a growler of the IPA.
When we are out that way again, we will definitely stop in.

After we visited Heritage Brewing Co., we went around the corner and down the street to BadWolf Brewing Co.
BadWolf is a Nano-​brewery. They brew their brews in much smaller batches. The place is located in a small retail strip mall. It’s not very big inside. The place was packed! We ordered three flights of Ales for the three of us. We managed to secure a spot along the back wall to sit and try out the flights.
We had six brews to try:
(1) Pot of Gold IPA
(2) Imperial Chocolate (Chocolate Stout)
(3) West Coast Steam (spiced steam style)
(4) Claire’s Vanilla Porter
(5) Honey Kolsch (light lager hybrid style)
(6) Seven Seas Pale Ale (American Pale Ale)
We were given instructions as to the recommended order in which to drink them — the numbers corresponded to numbers etched into the wooden flight holders. Our order was thus:
5, 3, 6, 1, 4, 2
We followed the instructions. I really enjoyed the Seven Seas Pale Ale, the Pot of Gold IPA, and the Imperial Chocolate Stout.
The Pale Ale was nicely balanced with a hint of hops, and a bit of a light citrus finish. The IPA was a tad hoppier and had a nice, lingering bitter finish. The Chocolate Stout was bold, in your face — with chocolate-​coffee undertones. Would go great with a piece of chocolate cake or a chocolate chip cookie!
I would order a pint of any of these three any day of the week. The Claire’s Vanilla Porter has grown on me since the tasting. I was not a fan of the West Coast Steam or the Honey Kolsch.
The restroom walls are plastered with labels from a variety of craft brews!
One of the back doors in the hallway is painted like the door of the TARDIS from Dr. Who. I’m guessing the name of the brewery has something to do with the series of Dr. Who episodes where the TARDIS keeps appearing with the words «Bad Wolf» painted across it like some vandal was out spray painting the neighborhood.
The folks brewing the Ales and working here are passionate about what they do, and very nice. Everyone was laughing and having a good time.
Great place to taste Ales — I will be back!
