We offer an open play dog daycare environment where your dog will be free to run, jump, play and sniff to their heart’s content. Our passionate, well-​trained staff provides personalized care and exceptional service to our guests on four legs, as well as their two-​legged parents. Live webcams offer a peek into your dog’s day and peace of mind that they’re having the time of their life socializing and burning off energy with their friends. At the end of the day you’ll be greeted by a happy, tired pup.

History

Established in 2008.

Brian and Suzanne just love being around dogs. We felt really guilty leaving our labrador, Casey, in a kennel facility when we went out of town. The facility was nice but Casey had nothing to do all day. Dog walkers are great, but our girl needed much more exercise than that when she was in her teenage years. We love the idea where our four legged kids can play all day and you can watch them over the internet and your iPhone or Droid via a new App. We opened Dogtopia of Manassas in March of 2008 and everyday since we look forward to seeing the smiles on our customers faces when they greet their dog after a long day of daycare or after a boarding stay. We are thankful to be a part of this amazing dog-​loving community.

Business Owner

Being dog lovers and owners of a Black Lab named Casey and a Jack Russell name Jackson, we strive to give them and our customer’s dogs the best care possible. Brian is originally from Long Island, New York and Suzanne hails from Southern California and they currently live in Bristow, VA. We always felt horrible leaving our dogs home alone when we went off to work and when we moved out to Bristow our commutes got even longer. We knew we had to do something for the dog loving residents of Prince William. If anyone knows 66 traffic, they know that their dogs are sitting at home longer than necessary on most days. That is why we waited to find the perfect location for Dogtopia, so that it would be convenient and the parents wouldn’t have to go out of their way. We are right of exit 234 in Manassas from 66. Come on in and say hi and take a tour any day… we’d love to meet you and your dog!

We have boarded our dogs here many times since they have opened and we love it! My dogs are excited to come here and it helps us to have a wonderful vacation knowing that they are happy and well-​cared for. They love getting to socialize with the other dogs and able to roam around most of the day. There are special little touches like monthly birthday celebrations and visits with Santa (complete with photos) that take place and they even include boarded dogs. They always make sure my dogs eat as sometimes they don’t eat well when they are not home. They contact me if ever anything is wrong with my pets, and have even taken them to my vet once when my dog twisted her ankle. I have even sent one of my dogs to them with a «cone of shame» and taking antibiotics and they made sure that she got her medicine and was well-​taken care of. When my dogs get home, they are exhausted and happy after having a wonderful vacation. We also get little written reports that tell about their stay– what they did, which dogs they played with, etc. We also have them give our dogs baths before leaving and they come home clean and sweet-​smelling. We highly recommend them!

I love this facility. The staff has been great with my Labrador puppy. He loves going to daycare and is completely wore out when he comes home. I would highly recommend. The convenience of the location and hours are really great!

We love to use Dogtopia. It is a great facility that if professionally owned and operated. The staff there is very caring and loves to work with the dogs. Love the convenience of being able to drop our dog off for the day while we go have some fun or get things done, knowing he is in good hands. The facility is clean and accommodates all dog sizes. I would highly recommend them to any one looking for dog daycare.

Couldn’t ask for better service. My Boxer is always happy to go and even knows the road well enough to get excited the closer we get. Cici has had some health issues and the staff is always attentive to her needs and complies with my request. Boarding is a breeze with special attention along the way. We have moved quite a bit over the years and this establishment is by far the best managed facility I have seen for dog daycare.

My dog Miss. Lola loves it at Dogtopia she gets so excited when we pull in everyday and the staff there always greets her with almost as much excitement as has! I know she is being very well taken care of while I am at work and I would not trust anyone else to take care of her especially overnight! Thank you Dogtopia Manassas for being Miss. Lola’s second family and her home away from home! We love you !

When we first got Butters, our lab, we brought him here EVERY day. Now that he’s older, he only goes ever so often. We also board him here too. The staff are friendly and courteous and they adore him.
Oh! and bonus. He always comes home exhausted and super happy. He’s happy, we’re happy. :)

Our new puppy has exhausted the entire family. I took her to dogatopia this week and she loved it. She was happy to go in and, when looking at the webcam, she was playful and contented while there. My puppy was also exhausted when she returned home and peace reigned once more. I am very happy with the care that she recieved and I intend her to visit often

I have taken my dog here a few times now and he seems happy when we get him back. He is usually tired right after we pick him up from playing all day. I like that they have a video feed so we can see what is going on in the place when we want to check in. I don’t like that they have short hours on Sunday’s. In my opinion it is because they know we are traveling and most of us don’t get back that early so it gives them one extra day of boarding. I started trying other places because it is somewhat expensive. But I recently ended up going to the vet after using a different boarding place which overall costed me more. I think this is the best option in the area.

Today I take my nine month old bichon there. He appear to have a good time but I would like to see more interaction from the person. Also, it would be great if they had toys to play with. The staff was friendly which was really nice. Also I could smell urine when I arrive.

Chico had a blast at Dogtopia & the staff was friendly and professional! I wish the web cam was of better quality, but it is a nice feature nonetheless. Chico always seems happy to go and happy to leave so I trust he is being well Cared for. The place looks really clean and always has friends of suitable size and temperament for Chico to play with during his stays. Thanks for all you do Dogtopia!

We love Dogtopia! We adopted a young rescue dog (with TONS of energy) and wanted to leave her with someone we could trust when we went on vacation. We wanted her to be able to run and play rather than be kenneled for long periods of time. Initially, she’s very fearful of people she doesn’t know and all of the staff was wonderful about making her feel comfortable and being understanding of her. They recommended that we drop her off for day care a few times before our week long vacation and I think it helped her to adjust and get used to being away from home and away from mom and dad. She seemed to have so much fun and was content there when we arrived to pick her up. I truly believe she looks forward to going back to Dogtopia for more play time :)

Our 1 year old Newfie lost 7 lbs. in 1 week (documented by a vet) while staying here in boarding over April Spring Break 2014. Did anyone else’s dog get SICK during this week? You can contact me privately thru Unilocal in the event anyone is reading this.
He was so extremely sick that we had to leave him for 2 nights at the ER vet on IV’s and then medication for 10 days. His fever was so high he was at risk for brain damage, seizures and death. We contacted Corporate and he (Jakob) told us it’s the food we use, and nothing to do with Dogtopia. My dog had a respiratory infection, mucus discharge and fevers of 105 and 106. These were NOT listed as problems of the food we used on the Consumer Affairs website they sent me! Suzanne or Brian, no need to reply to this since you will try to make the response look good. And Suzanne didn’t even write me back to see how he was doing after I told her my dog was still sick and admitted again. And BTW our other dog (who stayed at our house) ate the SAME food and he didnt get sick! It was not the food, it was the facility. And the staff might be happy and smiley… but no one even noticed our dog wasn’t feeling well! And when we called to ask why he’s laying down on web cam, they say he’s tired! And when we picked him up he smelled like urine. I emailed Suzanne and her reply was that he played in water and may have layed in urine. This is just my experience at Dogtopia, I hope no one ever goes thru this!

I take my Cocker Spaniel, Sadie, here to be groomed regularly, and Dogtopia always does a fantastic job! The staff members are friendly and accommodating, and I can usually get an appointment within a few days from when I call to schedule. Their prices are pretty standard (Sadie’s grooming is about $ 60 and she’s about 23 pounds), and they also offer additional services like teeth brushing and anal sack expressing. Sadie usually goes to see Wesley, but I have never had a poor grooming experience with anyone there. Definitely my go-​to place for dog grooming!

This place is awesome! The staff is always friendly. My little shishon loves coming here. He has no qualms being left for the day or for several days if we are going out of town. My dog is exhausted after a day at Dogtopia from all the playing. We love this place and would recommend to everyone.

BEWARE! We took our full breed Rhodesian Ridgeback to Dogtopia in Manassas over the Thanksgiving holiday and unfortunately it was a horrible experience.
First of all, we called several times over the weekend to check on him during their advertised business hours and no one ever answered the phone nor did they respond to our voicemail.
When we picked up our dog, he had two puncture wounds on his snout and three on his hind leg. When we asked what happened, no one could tell is what happened! Interesting for a place that says it takes pride in evaluating the dogs and the supervision it provides… not so much. Our dog is not aggressive at all and even the gentleman we spoke with at Dogtopia said so himself. They had no report of any incident happening or anything. From what I now read on other reviews, this is common. If there was adequate supervision in the dog common area, these things would not happen.
This is definitely not a place we would recommend to anyone.

I used to really love this place; we took our dog here all the time even when he was under six years old.
Then, we had some problems. One day my mom dog our yellow lab, Simba, to Dogtopia like usual. He was going nuts, because he’s a people-​puppy. He was only, maybe 10 months old??? I’m not sure.
We got a call later that day and found that Simba got bit by another dog. There were 2 pretty large wounds. It was so bad, we had to take him to the vet, and he had to get stiches, and were those things, I forget the names, but they are the cones you put on the dog’s head to keep them from touching a wound.
At first we thought, «Well, it may be Simba’s fault, he may have annoyed the dog enough to cause the dog to bite him.» After all, he was a spazzy puppy. And, Dogtopia was banning the dog that bit Simba from ever coming there again.
So, we let Simba go back there. The very day we brought him there, we got ANOTHER phone call. He was bite AGAIN, by a different dog. It was a large wound and required a lot more to heal it. We were REALLY mad.
Simba doesn’t got to Dogtopia anymore. I think there isn’t enough people watching the oodles of dogs running around in a huge room, and the employees that ARE there are mostly very young teenagers, and no offense to teenagers, but I wouldn’t trust you with my dog. Could the bites have been prevented? Perhaps.
So, Simba isn’t going to Dogtopia anymore, he goes to Waggin Tails, and we LOVE it there!
