Established in 1997.

ThoroSpec founder, Hollis Brown is a long-​time Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and Northern Virginia resident. Hollis has performed over 5,000 home inspections since 1997. He is Certified by the State of Virginia, Licensed by the State of Maryland, and holds the CRI credential of the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI). Hollis teaches Maryland home inspector license classes at the Home Inspector Training Academy in Arlington, Virginia.

Hollis has built an extremely unique business, making a large footprint within the home inspection industry. Not only is he the founder and principle home inspector of ThoroSpec home inspections in Northern Virginia, but he is also the owner and instructor at the premier local home inspector school, referred to by faculty and students as, HITA.

As owner and operator of the prestigious Home Inspector Training Academy, Hollis has trained thousands of home inspectors both locally in the Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland, and Washington DC area, as well as nationwide.

Hollis is also the webmaster of many home inspection related websites, and YadZooks, the Universal Hub of all Things Real Estate.
