Vita Nova Medical Spa and the Center for Medical Weight Loss

My first time at Vita Nova, but will not be my last. From the front desk to the back end staff, everyone is very professional. Cassie was informative, sweet, and gentle. I had a great experience! Doris is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. Thank you ladies!

I used Vita Nova Medical Spa several years ago for some Botox to freshen up my skin. The staff, including the owner, Doris, was extremely welcoming and professional. Leona was wonderful and very skillful in determining exactly what I needed. My skin easily bruises and yet, with Leona, there were no bruises to be seen. I received many compliments after the treatment from colleagues and family who didn’t know I’d had anything done. I had to stop going due to a family member’s illness, but I would have continued to go if it had been possible.
Three weeks ago, I decided it was time to do something more effective for weight loss. I have tried many, many different plans over the years. Though not obese, the pounds have accumulated and it is something that needs to change. Taking advantage of their weight loss special, I went in for a consultation with Cassie, the nutritionist. I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable and positive. I started on the plan and even in this short amount of time, I feel I have learned a great deal about what will work for me and the reasons why I have struggled so much in the past. Measurement is not done simply in pounds, but also in muscle, fat, and water percentages. The Zerona treatment is designed to help rid the body of excess fat, and with behavioral changes, the weight is slowly coming off. In addition to Cassie’s support, Doris has made it a point to check in with me and make sure that all is going well. She is also knowledgeable and encouraging. Overall, my experience with Vita Nova has been one of excellence which is going to improve my quality of health and life for the future.

Don’t waste your money on their laser hair removal. I bought a groupon for 6 laser sessions and upgraded it for an additional $ 100 at their office to include more than the bikini line. I also referred two friends. I was assured my coloring was ideal for laser hair removal and that I should have good results.
I got the impression the technician was new and didn’t know or wasn’t comfortable with what she was doing. A number of appointments were cancelled because the laser machine was broken. In the end it didn’t successfully remove hair. I complained and was offered two additional sessions but no success. I checked with both friends to see how their experience was and they had the same poor results.
Ironically, months later I ran into another friend who said she used their service and had the same poor results.

I have visited Vita Nova twice now and have been thrilled with my results both times. Both Cassie and Doris are amazingly friendly and do an wonderful job listening to your concerns and making recommendations for your personalized treatment.

I had an appointment scheduled with their weight loss counselor which I had to unexpectedly cancel because I got called in to work. I was charged $ 50 for a missed appointment. I could understand being charged if I were a habitual offender but this was my first appointment for this service and I had an emergency at work. The office manager is not sympathetic at all. Well I planned to use other services there as well but they just lost a customer for life!

Love vita nova and staff. I had the co2 done on my face by Doris several years ago, it is a little uncomfortably for a few days but the results are amazing, i have had skin cancer and my dermatologist recommends chemical peels for sun damage, just had the perfect 10 chemical peel, it has only been 1 day and I am a little red, but my face feels and looks great, I highly recommend chemicals peels for light sun damage, and the co2 for more damaged skin and fine lines. VERY PLEASE

Leona is concerned and through — she made sure both I and a friend knew why other weight loss did not work. That loss of muscle and water did not address the problem. Slow and directed weight loss is so much better. While I might fuss at the tiny steps — actually increasing muscle will make it up in the long run. Now if I can only get my activity up where they recommend I am sure I would have significant weight loss. The program is great for the older sluggish metabolism…

Very nice people in nice clean facility. Did zerona and clothes fit better after about 5 treatments. Found it hard to set aside 1 hour a day to exercise, otherwise results might have better. They do the whole range of cosmetic helpers like Botox, dysport and fillers so if you like them and their prices, it’s one stop shopping.

Christiana has a feather light touch and is so conscientious about her work when giving a facial. Lots of laser experience, she is truly professional!

absolutely terrible. I used a groupon. They began my appointment 20 minutes late. The massage was really bad– i kept asking for work to be done on the knots near my shoulder blades, but the therapist didn’t know how to do that, so she kept playing with my hair and moving from side to side, not knowing what to do with her hands. It was a really light massage, and left me stressed and in the same amount of pain as i walked in with). The facial only lasted about 40 minutes, and was really bad also. I would never go back again.

I purchased a Groupon for a 60-​minute massage and 60-​minute facial at Vita Nova. I arrived for my appointment at 2:30 and was taken in for the massage first which was fantastic (5 stars for Alana, the masseuse). I was extremely relaxed and looking forward to my facial at that point. Wrong. Alana showed me into the facial room where I prepared for my next hour of pampering — apparently with another employee. Alana then reappeared and told me that the esthetician was eating her lunch and she (Alana) was going to get me started. At this point it was 3:45 pm. Things started off well with Alana doing a cleansing treatment and then putting me under the steamer. She then left the room because she had another client to attend to.
I was left steaming away for at least 10 – 15 minutes before Doris finally showed up. She didn’t bother to introduce herself which I found very off-​putting and rather rude. She sat there while I continued to steam and finally switched off the machine. After a couple of perfunctory applications of some type of cream/​lotion, she applied a peel and then promptly left the room again for another 10 minutes or so! When she returned she removed the peel and applied some other product and then said Voila (or words to that effect) and I was stunned to realize that from her point of view the facial was over! Where was the relaxing massage? Where was the facial pampering? I have had enough facials to know what to expect in a 60-​minute appointment and this simply did not stack up. Very disappointing.

They staff is helpful, friendly and positive.
I am sure they offer many great treatments but DON’T waste your time or money on Zerona.

This is the best place to help you keep looking your best! Prices are great for all their products. I have been to DC and Northern VA area, Vita Nova beats all their competitive prices! I hope they don’t raise it after reading my review! I have been a customer for over 2 years and have recommended many of my family, friends and colleagues. I am in a middle of another treatment and it has helped me feel confident about my self tremendously!

I love vita nova everyone that works there is so friendly and welcoming and gives always the best prices, I definitely recommend going there if you want a brand new look!

I have had nothing short of a wonderful experience as a vita nova client.
I admit to being a bit skeptical about medical spas in general… so I went into Vita Nova, a bit apprehensive. I visited just to get general information about their microdermabrasion treatment. It was a welcoming experience and they spent time speaking to me about my skin. The owner Doris is very hands-​on and personable with everyone that walks through her doors.
I have started my treatments with Tabitha– an Esthetician amongst other things (she has the most amazing skin and is very pleasant) has done an excellent job making sure she educates me on the nature of each treatment and always checks my comfort level.
I always have great conversations with the team although they remain professional. I look forward to my trips Vita Nova.
Most of all, I have gotten so many positive feedbacks on the radiance of my skin… I honestly have not complaint.
